I'm very pleased with the performance in cool/cold weather as well as maintaining warmth even when wet from the outside or inside. I've used this vest on several 5-10 mile hikes in adverse conditions. Taking it to Patagonia in 3 weeks for many miles of trials in windy, sometimes rainy conditions. Glad I bought it.

Wear anywhere, Great and needed addition to my Hunting Gear

If you are looking for a sleek, simple everyday vest that can be worn under an overcoat, a suit jacket or just to go out, this is a great product. It is very light and thin. You can wear practically anything over it. It also looks great if you just want to wear the vest without any jacket or coat on top. Would reccomend.

I have been a long time North Face customer. This is just another great garment to add to my collection.

In our area, it can be below zero in the morning, 50s in the afternoon and bitter again at night. Great layer for just about anything without adding any bulk.

Always prefer North Face to it's competitors and this is no exception. All my jackets wear well and remain stylish for years.

Northface was bery nice about exchanging the vest. The stitching came out so the sent us s mew one.

I already had a women's thermoball jacket and vest as my essential travel outerwear, and bought my husband a jacket to try. He loved it so much he also got a vest for himself and wears them all the time. Great for travel, everyday, and layering for extra warmth. Easy to wear, not bulky, lightweight, and packs down to almost nothing.

the full jacket is so great and the cut of the vest is no really functional. Very disappointed as he wanted a vest to go under his ski coat.

Use it daily with a jacket.

BOUGHT THIS AT THE NORTH FACE STORE SO I HAD A CHANCE TO TRY IT ON BEFORE BUYING IT. I WENT INTO THE STORE ORIGINALLY LOOKING TO BUY THE APEX VEST BUT THIS ONE DEFINITELY FIT ME WAY BETTER. I'M 5'9'' ABOUT 145-150LBS AND THE SMALL SIZE FITS ME GREAT. NOT TOO LONG IN THE BACK BUT ALSO LOOKS VERY SLIMMING AND STYLISH. I USUALLY LAYER MY VEST WITH A HOODIE OR HALF ZIP AND THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT I WAS LOOKING FOR. I WEAR IT TO WORK EVERY DAY AND ALSO IN PLACE OF MY WINTER COAT, HERE IN ALBERTA WE GET COLD DAYS TOO!! ALSO PICKED UP A NORTH FACE CANYONLANDS HALF ZIP BECAUSE THEY WERE 30% OFF! THEY BOTH GO HAND IN HAND!

I love these vests. I live in freezing upstate NY where I'm constantly changing layers. I have one of these on from October - April at almost all times. I basically take it off when I go to bed. I bought everyone in my family one for Christmas this year and explained that the vest "will change their life". I am not a person that needs to be wearing brand names - just love quality and these vests are as good as they get. I don't even know I'm wearing them until someone compliments me on my vest at which time I take it off and say "FEEL HOW LIGHTWEIGHT THIS IS!!!" Did I say I'm obsessed?

This is a great product. I am able to wear it in many different situations, over athletic or formal wear. Not particularly warm, but very nice.

Has anybody had a problem with the zipper? Found out that after I brought to Korea to give as a gift to my broth-in-law, the zipper is for the women, feeding into from right side not from the left side that all men's does.... it ended my sister is wearing.

You can find cheaper vests, but the key word is "cheap". You get what you pay for. I want a vest that lasts through the years, so I invested in The North Face Thermoball.

I bought the jackett for my wintewr runs but also wear it when its not very cold.

It's a great vest! It warms my torso quickly and effectively. The color is vivid. Packs well into a suitcase (gets tiny!)

Bought for my college age son. It is a little large, but better than too small. He loves it!

It's great for about everything. It's thin enough to the point where you can style it during spring and summer. And warm enough during winter to really keep the core of your body heated!

Wear this out in the elements, or out to the store. It is a good vest wherever you go.

Everyday use when a jacket is not needed

It is great for cold days but very light weight!!

This vest is lightweight yet warm so it can be worn in a variety of conditions. Love the look of it and the color selection was on point! Great quality!

This is great for layering or to wear on its own.

I've used this on cool nights and added it as an additional layer when it gets really cold . It's very thin and warm but doesn't restrict your movements. The only downside is the length - I'm 5'9" and its just a little bit long under some of my other garments ,but not bad on it's own.
