I found this jacket to be very comfortable, lightweight, and warm in cold weather. On days where it is sunny and above 35 degrees it actually gets too warm.

fantastic, utilitarian, ultralight, super warm jacket. also the craftsmanship is amazing, the fit is excellent, and feels very comfy. i would also like to mention it is just a wee bit warmer than the remix. i have both and am very glad i got them both. whomever designed these knew exactly what they were doing.

I ordered my Jacket on line and the experience was good along with ground shipping went well. When I opened the package and tried on the Size Medium it felt snug under my arms and shoulders. I removed the Jacket and found I was shipped a Active Medium. When I ordered the Jacket I assumed I would get a regular size Medium since I didn't notice anyplace to mark regular or active.
The jacket performs well if the temperature is 40F or above. If its colder and I put a sweater on under the jacket the tightness in the shoulders is really not comfortable.

This is an incredibly comfortable and stylish jacket. I love how it feels and how light and warm it is. It is almost deceiving because of how thin it is, you wouldn't think it could possible be that warm. It is very versatile and serves great as a mid layer if you have a rain shell.
The only issue I had with it was the fit. I first bought a medium because I have always used that. I am 6' 0'' and 175. The jacket was extremely loose in the chest and I felt awkward wearing it especially sitting down, it would puff out and I didn't like it. So I went to a small which was surprisingly not much different, sleeve length was virtually the same, and the chest fit nicely. The jacket is a little snug on the back but small was the definitely the way to go. Also I think it should include an interior pocket somehow.
Great jacket would recommend.

I really like the jacket. It's always warm and fits very well to its size. I haven't had a jacket I like so much. I'm very please with my purchase of this northface jacket.

This is the perfect winter coat! Slim design , not bulky at all , and keeps him super warm. The only quam we had was that last seasons style had a slightly different quilt pattern and the Coat was a bit shinier which was what we were hoping to find this year as well. No such luck but still very pleased with our purchase

Got a large for Christmas ( 6'2 210 athletic build) and was super excited to finally receive one of these jackets. Thought it would be great as a standalone jacket for those 20-35 degree days we have been getting in MN. Wore the jacket once and fit kinda short but the width was good. No big deal I will just exchange it I thought. Get to the store and the Xl is a touch longer but still is too short ( towards the top of my pants zipper.
Since I took the tags off and everything I just gave the jacket to my shorter skinnier brother (something no one wants to do). Too bad because I really liked the jacket and it was very warm. I mean I am 6'2 but i don't think that is that tall?
Would love to see this jacket offered in some tall sizes for us guys who are built more rectangular than boxy. The arms of both sizes Fit fine and a large was recomended for me online but was too short. Would also be nice to have had a 3rd pocket in the chest.
Looks like I will have to wait another year to see if the northface will roll out a longer body length in this jacket or a more athletic cut. Definetly bummed but it didn't fit me but I would still recommend it. Nothing negative to say about the performance

much warmer than similar thickness jackets made by competitors, but seems to generate a crazy amount of static which isnt fun.

My son loves his new jacket, but he complained that there are thread ends hanging here and there on the outside of the jacket. He went through and cut several off. Not the best finishing work for such a big company and price.

I bought this jacket for cold fall and spring days and it did the trick. A large fit perfect and I am 6'2 and 200lbs. I can wear a base layer zip up underneath making walks/hikes in temps around 0C very light and breathable.
I will say that the marketing is a little off-it's not a viable witner jacket for Ontario during Dec-early March where temps get down to -20C+ windchill. If you wore only this in that weather you'd freeze your tail off in 5 minutes.
Overall its an excellent jacket from temps down to -5C so for what I purchased it for I am very happy with the qualiy and amazing light weight of the jacket.

This is warm compared to it's weight, but it is not as warm as the usual down jacket. Still enough for winter in north west.
I like the colour.
I'd rather walk cause it is very light weight and then packable when I'm in sweat. It is difficult to go back the previous down jacket.
Size L
Colour conquer Blue

Light, Warm, Thin profile fits good if you're a fit personal not looking for a bulky jacket. I just wish I had more pockets.

I was day hiking in the White Mts. of NH back in January. The summit was -7 with wind at about 30-40 mph. The jacket kept me warm and comfortable... so much so that I unzipped my it to cool down and noticed that the inside was damp. The next time I'm out in similar weather, I'll be aware enough to regulate my temp with the zipper and see if that makes a difference. If not, I'll have to find something that breathes better- hopefully it works because I really like it.

North Face should have inherent durability. They are expensive to begin with so shoddy construction should not be a concern. Too bad.

i bought the product in Ski site (Telluride, Denver) like 4 years ago, and was very happy with it, just that always the zipper was gripping my the fabric, since the fabric is padded and inflated so it is always being catched by the zipper and it started tearing the fabric... a bit disappointed. i expected better quality from TNF products.

Good overall but stitching isn't great. Also too much stitching pattern makes the surface of jacket rough

Too restrictive for comfortable layering. I prefer my old version which I wear over a fleece vest.

I always wear M size. But this one gets tight on M size even their size chart saying M is good for me. Also if they had use elastic on side and armpit, so it would've been stretchy.
