I love the Thermoball jackets. This is my second one. They are both XL, but I noticed that this one fits more snug that my first one. I'm hoping it will loosen up as I wear it. I've noticed that North Face is making more of their products in a "Slim Fit" fashion. I feel like the newer Thermoball jacket might be designed that way. North Face needs to remember that all of their customers aren't in the "Slim Fit" catagory!

Nice casual jacket to wear on cooler walks or out running errands. Warmth without bulk.

This is my third Thermoball jacket. I have had pretty much zero complaints with all of them. Except this latest one. Why are the zipper pulls laminated thread (front zipper) and literally just thread (pocket zippers)? Every other jacket has had some sort of nice plastic cap or tab on the zipper pulls. The current model's zipper pulls are cheap and beneath the North Face quality I've known for decades. Hope this is fixed for next year's model.

Perfect for outdoor activities or just casual use

Now that it's colder, I use it all the time as a daily coat to go into work in the mornings. I like that it's light and fits over my suits.

Great product at a great price. Not quite as compact as down but for the price, one of the best synthetics I've used.

Need to return to get a smaller size.

Every day coat. Love it. I wished it had a bit more padding in it. The price is a bit steep too.

Honestly I really enjoy this jacket. The only cons that I really have for it is I feel like the torso and sleeve length are a little long for me, but definitely not something I would say is a deal breaker. Very warm and light weight.

Solid jacket. Not fancy. I have mulitple colors and wear one most everyday. Great lightweight jacket for back packing.

Just to wear

Just got my product. Hasn't been tested but appears to be a winner. After reading the reviews on the size about the slim fit, bought a size up and it's comfortable with a enough room for layering but doesn't feel to big if not. I have another north face and 2X is fine. For the slim fit, recommend a size up.

Like other reviewers, I can echo that this is a fantastic jacket. It does not substitute as a winter coat, but it is comfortable, packable and very warm.

This jacket is a slim fit and feels very good on your body. It's not heavy still feels like good protection. However I have an older jacket, same style but with hood attached. That one does not protect against cold, feels more like a shirt rather than a jacket. But protects against the rain, which is not the reason why I bought this jacket. I need to see how it holds outside if temps drop to 40's, 50's or even min 30's. I am planning to use it for chilly fall nights or early spring, both in the city, walking around or traveling. I just purchased this one so 4 stars so far since I did not try it in the cold and rain. But first impression is very good, nice slim fit and great color (I was a little hesitating, since probably black or gray was a safer choice) but this color is actually stylish and cool, for sure can work with lots of outfits.

I will start using it in my trip to Alaska.

Great jacket overall. My only issue is that is was a bit tight at the bottom.

Great product. The quality is top rate. I just wish it was not slim fit. Is it the trend these days? the torso was binding and the arms were too small. Patagonia in regular fit is perfect. I'm 5'9" 155.

It's great fit

Great jacket but no where near as comfortable as the thermoball from years ago that I recently returned to Northface. I returned the jacket for tears in the pockets from the zippers always catching when closing. I miss my old jacket and honestly I wish I would have just kept the old jacket and fixed the holes myself.
