I was amazed by how nice and comfortable this jacket is. I have been told how nice it looks on me. I really like the fit.

Nice, ligth, useful and very confortable. It has the benefit to provide the correct warm sensation; you can use it on the woods as well as in the city.

After reading all the favorable reviews about this jacket, I decided to buy one for my husband for Christmas. My thoughts were that this would be an awesome liner for his shell for skiing. It's remarkably light, and I can tell it's going to be really warm. Thinking about getting a vest for myself.

The Thermoball arrived right in time for the roll in of the Bay Area storm. This jacket is the perfect weight for me. I use public transit to commute to work each day, so I love that this jacket is lightweight enough to throw off and compress into my messenger bag, yet when I hop off Bart, it provides all the warmth and protection from the rain I need. I love the color; I have already received several compliments in the short week I've had it. I went with the High Rise Grey, which I feel is edgy and fun enough to expand my very grey/black wardrobe, but subtle enough to throw over business casual when I'm commuting in the wind and rain. Have to give kudos to my Fianc?, who listened when I said I wanted this exact jacket about 6 months ago and surprised me with this early Christmas present! I love it!

Honestly, the jacket arrived and was visibly too small for my husband but I can tell you I asked SEVERAL strangers wearing this jacket their opinion before purchasing- hands down a "10". I am reviewing however as the ease of ordering and returning with North Face- a perfect 10! and I have the women's version and LOVE it. Thanks!

Over the years I have purchased a number of jackets. They length was either too small or too long. This is the first jacket to fit me perfectly. Right size length and arm length. To give an idea, I'm 5'6" and wear a small.
I have thicker jackets, but the Thermoball by far keeps me warmer with less material.

This coat is so warm and yet lightweight. Everyone compliments me on it. Material is glossy and beads off water. Very functional.

I have bought two of these jackets - one for my husband and one for my nephew. They are a perfect fit and combination of warmth and style. Both of my guys get compliments wherever they go. Should I be worried?!!!! One of these days, I'll spring for the same jacket for myself, in the female version.

I love this jacket. It's light enough and packs down small enough to throw it in the bottom of your pack for alpine missions without noticing the weight or bulk, and yet It's warm enough to save your butt when things go wrong. The Thermoball also stays warm even when wet--a clear advantage over traditional down puffys. I highly recommend this jacket!
Full disclosure: As a #TNFLocals and The North Face #AMBSDR, I received this jacket as a perk. But, I would buy this jacket if it wasn't given to me for free.

This jacket so far has been by far the warmest I have ever owned. It is sssoooo light weight that it will instantly fool you, and anyone else with its warmth. It is so versatile and has great pocket size. I love the cuffs inside the sleeves to keep the wind from getting up your arms. Overall a great jacket, could say so much about it. The main thing is that it's so nice looking and keeps you warm in brutal cold temperatures.

I received this jacket a couple of months ago and am super stoked to have it now that the weather is starting to turn. The Thermoball is very lightweight yet extremely warm. One of the things I love the most about it is that you don't have to sacrifice and range of motion to stay warm. Some winter jackets are heavy and bulky which can put a damper on outdoor activities, not the Thermoball.
I have the "Monster Blue" and have to say that the jacket is as stylish as it is functional. I have to say, I love my Thermoball! #TNFLocals #AMBDSR

I was hesitant to believe that a jacket this thin with the "gimmick" that it could fold into its' own pocket could be so warm. I've only had it a short while but all I can say is "Wow!" I routinely ride a bike 20 miles back and forth to work and walk my dogs late at night. The temperatures have already dipped into the low 20's at times and I've been just fine with my Thermoball. It keeps the heat in and the wind and cold out. Kudos TNF. Thermoball is a winner!

I was pleasantly surprised how warm just a light-weight jacket could be! I'm looking forward to some great years with it.

I've had my Thermoball for a little over a month and I'm finally enjoying its benefits now that the temperatures in the northeast have started to drop. The jacket is super lightweight and I've used it in most conditions so far (rain, wind, cold) for walking, hiking and running. I'm impressed with how warm it has kept me on some of my colder hikes and runs. I'm interested to test the optimal temperature range for staying comfortable in this jacket during active use. So far, it's been great between 20 - 50 degrees. I'm wondering how low I can go while still staying warm. I need a polar vortex to hit New England. TNFLocals #AMBSDR

I bought one of these jackets a few years back and I love it! It is light-weight and yet oh-so-cozy warm. I noticed my father admiring it when I visited with him last spring, so I got one for him as a December Holiday present. Somehow, I just know he'll love it.

I have owned my ThermoBall for two months. At first, the jacket is so light that I thought it may not be warm enough for the colder months. Let me tell you, it is very warm. I hiked a 4000 foot mountain in NH in October. At the peak, it was very cold and windy. I was wearing a T-shirt and the ThermoBall. I was very warm and comfortable.
This jacket is so versatile. I wear it all the time. Also, when it gets really cold, it is thin enough to use under a heavier coat.
I highly recommend spending the money on a jacket you can wear year-round.

I live in Chicago and it is cold here, I was testing the Thermoball against a Marmot jacket and found out North Face always has a leg up in quality and performance. I am very glad I went with North Face.
Here's why;
1. Size is not as bulky and it is warmer
2. Look is better and fits more like an athletic style
3. Quality seems higher
4. Overall warmth is better and it is 20 degrees here today
I am very happy with product as I am a long standing North Face customer and will stay for sure..
