The shell/outer jacket is nice. The inner jacket is ok. The material seems to stain easily. It has permanent sweat and moisture stains.

Before buying this coat I compared it to many other coats, and I wore a similar TNF coat for several years. I bought this coat because it had fewer design flaws than the others. My biggest gripes are: 1) the pockets and hood are not lined, 2) the main zipper feels cheap and smallish (not easy to grip and thread), 3) the entry angles for the side pockets are too high for comfortably keeping your hands in the pockets, and 4) there are no inside pockets to secure valuables like a passport or travel documents.
I wear this coat only in cold (and wet) weather, so a hood lining would be a lot more comfortable and warm against my face than cold plastic. Same goes for lining the pockets. Also, the hand pockets are cut at bad angles, so my arms are kind of pinned against my chest instead of hanging more freely near the waistline when my hands are in the pockets. And the fit is a bit tight compared to the previous TNF 3-in-1 coat I had. The weather hasn't been really bad yet this winter for me to fairly comment on the other aspects of the coat, such as its waterproofing, warmth, and wind protection.
I really want to like TNF products, but I don't feel really good about this product based on these design flaws. I would have bought another, better coat if I could find it. I wonder if TNF designers actually wear this coat, because these kinds of defects are obvious. TNF, are you listening?

Tough on cold, wet and windy weather. Good texture. Warm. Comfortable. Three-in-one. Best gear for trails, running, walking. Easy to wear and remove. One recommendation though, please put bigger zipper on the main (like the zipper inside, i.e. for lining). Thank you.

It was a rough winter and needed a better snow jacket. This North Face is the perfect mix of warmth and functionality. Highly recommend this for anyone.

Good for spring weather and days you expect mild rain. Probably not ideal for sub-zero temperature when I would prefer a down.

Great coat! Would buy again. Like mentioned before only con is when coat is zipped entirely up and the top part rubs on the chin

This is a great coat, with 2 layers. They can be worn together or separate, and are comfortable either way.

Lightweight, but very warm. It would keep me warm in the snow and wind, but I wouldn't overeat when I got inside or was walking around a store. Great jacket.

Bought this jacket for skiing and works perfect for me. Base layers definitely required to stay warm. It's a lighter jacket meant for wearing with layers.

I bought 2 jackets, even same color. S and M for my husband and son. Perfect for skiing. What they like the best is that the zipper upper part does not bother them in the face with the ski mask. They had previously the TNF Hyvent which is good but more rigid fabric. This jacket is light weighted which they love and waterproof ( skiing under the snow and rain) We are a planning on buying more for the my other 2 kids and myself for the next ski season.

I use this as an everyday jacket.....the vest liner can be removed and that's good for rainy, warmer days, but needed when the snow falls...an all around, attractive purchase.
