This is a great shoe, but for some reason the sizing gets a little weird around size 11-12... the elastic that runs over the top of the foot is just so tight that no matter how wide or long the shoe is, its hard to get it on and off. I opted for the ankle bootie version. This wasn't an issue for size 10 (though I still sized up one size.. if your kid is size 9 get size 10).

I was hesitant because my 3 yr old just entered into a size 9 but the smallest available was a 10. They ended up being good for him without any issues.

Second, they match daddy.
Third they're sooooo warm and functional.
Finally, being able to "WEAR SLIPPERS OUTSIDE!" For a 5yo is "Pretty cool."

Durable, comfortable, and warm. I don't know if I will ever buy any other slipper in the future. None could compare. They are snug at first, but stretch out over time.
