These were my second favorite after the Keen Targhee Exp Mid Waterproof, which alas I ordered from Keen not Zappos. The Terradora is "true to size" if by that you mean order up the same way you'd order up for running shoes.
Of the Keens I tried on this go-round, here's the box score:
WINNER: Targhee Mid Exp Mid Waterproof size 10.5. Length and width perfect. Room in toebox for my bunion and hammertoe. Good heel control. (There are a pair of eyelets at the ankle that attach to a cloth band that runs down into the shoe and around the heel.) Doesn't rub anywhere. Comfortable out of the box. Good arch support.
- Keen Gypsum II Waterproof size 10: too small
- Keen Gypsum II Waterproof size 10.5: too big
- Keen Terradora Leather Mid Waterproof size 10: Same as the WINNER but doesn't feel like it provides quite as much ankle & heel stability.
- Keen Oakridge Mid Waterproof size 10: Same as Terradorra. Didn't like the fabric or color though.
- Kaci Winter Mid Waterproof size 10: Way too big and no arch support. However, they fit perfectly with my orthotics inserted over the Keen insole. Not a hiker, but a nice walking around winter shoe. It has the Keen traditional duck-foot toe box which my feet love - wide and deep.

I searched several sites and read reviews about a variety of hiking shoes before settling on Keen Terradora Leather Mid Waterproof shoes. They are terrific! They are absolutely true to size. I wear a size 9 medium width. I put the shoes on and wore them in the house for several hours and then went out for a walk in them. The shoes are comfortable, stylish, and perfect for my needs! I will be on a tour in May that will require walking on uneven ground and stones at times, so I needed sturdy, protective shoes for walking. Keen Terradora Leather Mid Waterproof shoes fit the bill!

Wore these shoes right out of the box! I am a size 9.5 in New Balance running shoes. I need a wide toe bed (slight bunion) and a narrow ankle. I also have a high arch. These are perfect. Love the flexibility and support. My feet didn't sweat too much and unlike some shoes, they do not have a chemical smell.

As many other reviewers have noted, these boots felt great right out of the box. (I did send back the boots I originally ordered in my regular size, 7.5, and got a size 8, which were perfect; thought I needed more "wiggle room" in the toe box, plus I anticipated wearing thicker socks for some hikes.)
I've been wearing them every day since I got them (a week ago), preparatory to taking a trip to Ireland next month -- lots of walking, lots of wet sod, etc., etc. And they haven't given me one bit of trouble. Wore 'em out on rainy days -- feet stayed dry. No pinching, no rubbing, and yet plenty of support.
They did slip a bit on wet rocks, but hey! They're nice and lightweight and generally have good traction.
I love my new Keens!

Everything I wanted in a hiking boot! Lightweight, low profile, comfortable, good enough support, and waterproof. They may not be the best for people with wide feet, but if you have a narrower foot I think they're great. They're also more stylish (if one cares about such things in hiking boots) than other Keen models, which are pretty clumsy-looking, at least on petite, skinny-legged people. Bonus: removable footbed that accommodates replacement arch support if you need it.

This boot in timber and cornstalk is very stylish. I have worn them with both leggings and jeans, and they look great. The fit is good, especially now that I realize my feet have grown! I would say that the overall width is slim for a boot, but my feet are not wide and I have plenty of room to wiggle my toes. If you have wider feet, you might want to try a men’s size.
These Keen boots have a much better insole than my old, old Targhees. No need to buy athletic insoles for these boots.

I was disappointed with this boot. The color is not the burnt sienna (orangey-brown) color it appears, it is blah brown. And the fit was tighter than I've had with a Keen. I am an 8.5-9 in most shoes (I almost always buy 9s for my hikers) and the 9 gave me no room for my toes to wiggle with my thinnest hiking socks and I have fairly narrow feet -- I wear regular width but am on the slim side. They made my feet look longer than other Keens do.

Love these Keen mid leather boots. Especially the sole does not collect mud. When in woods w dog ! Only problem, initially good fit but seems to be stretching out in heel area, just after wearing a month !

This is my second pair of the same style. It fits like a glove. No slippage, snug but supportive. Wore them in Iceland in all kinds of weather. Waterproofing worked and I had no need of the other boots I took.
I do add my own orthotics but otherwise theses boots and the corresponding shoes (which I also have) are perfect.

Walked around the condo for a couple of weeks before venturing outside. Comfortable indoors but always different on sidewalk/street. Very good cushion outdoors. I bought a half size bigger as suggested in reviews and was glad I did. I would definitely buy these again. And they look so good.

My girlfriend and I both have foot problems. I am going hiking in Alaska and she recommended KEEN. My orthotic worked inside the boot! Looking forward to exploring with my waterproof KEEN!

These are pretty cute in person, but I did feel like they were a half size small (I'm a true 7.5 and ordered an 8 and should have tried a 8.5). Returning because the sole didn't feel as stable as I'd like. Too flexible, not enough support for real hiking. Nice roomy toe box, narrow in the heel.

My foot fit in the size 6, but I returned for a 6.5 which gives just the right amount of wiggle room for toes. Thanks Zappos for your easy return policy. Nice looking boots.

I wore this shoe to Morocco and used it everyday for 15 days including traveling to Morocco and returning to the USA. It was very comfortable and allowed me walk on uneven surfaces without any problems. I have a narrow heel and use a blue superfeet insole for this shoe. I am flat footed and need additional support. I ended up purchasing another pair of the Keen Terradora within a few weeks of my return. I walked in a steady rain for about 20 minutes and my feet stayed dry. I like wearing these shoes for everyday walking at home. I have not tried hiking in them but am so happy that they make my feet happy.

I added a blue superfeet insole and the shoes fit me without any break in time. I am flat footed. I used them for a trip to Morocco walking on different types of surfaces wearing them every day of 15 days including travel from and return to the USA. My feet were very happy. I have not used these shoes for hiking. But plan to do so in the near future. They are wonderful for everyday walking on flat and uneven surfaces... Will have to wait on roots, rocks, and inclines. Walking home one day it started raining (around 15 minutes total time in the steady rain) and my feet stayed dry.

I bought these to replace another pair of Keen boots that were too small and bulky at the same time. I completed a 10 mile hike the first time I wore these and they were so much more comfortable. Just a little irritation on my heels but for the first wear I'll take it. These are comfortable and waterproof.

These are the ones! Tried several different brands. These are light, very supportive, especially in the heel. Good amount of room in toe box. Haven’t warn them hiking yet, but i’m Excited to try out.

I first ordered timber/cornstalk in 9 1/2 (I typically wear a 9 - some sandals I can wear 8 1/2 and other athletic shoes, I sometimes need 9 1/2). They were just slightly big - probably would be ok with really thick socks (I was wearing double-layer hiking socks), but decided I wanted to try a 9. I went with the
mushroom/magnet color in a 9 and they are perfect. They looked like a purpley-blue on my computer, but they are definitely dark gray with some bluish accents and cute heather-like laces. I think they will go well with anything. Some reviews mention they are narrower than other Keens. I haven't owned Keen before because they were always too wide for me. I don't have a narrow-width foot, but I do have a bony foot and a narrow depth with long toes. I tried on several other boots; another Keen, and Vasque and found them more stiff than this one. As mentioned, I have bony feet, so I like a good bit of padding and cushion and these feel more like an athletic shoe to me, but with good ankle support. That said, my ankles and shins are bony as well, so I will need to get used to a boot surrounding my ankles, but they feel comfortable so far walking around the house. Could use a little more arch support, but may be adequate. Planning a trip to southwest US this spring and hoping they will still feel great after days of hiking.

I really liked these. They were a little high on the ankle for me, and I really don't need waterproofing so I returned them, but other than that a sexy mid (especially for Keen).

I love these shoes. I haven't worn them out hiking yet but they were so comfortable right out of the box. I have a narrow foot and they fit perfectly, so I marked them as "feeling narrower than marked" but that was great news for me. There are almost no hiking boots in a narrow width so I thought I'd take a chance on these and I am so glad I did. I love the wine/rhododendron color and was happy that shoe laces on too long (which sometimes happens even on narrow shoes -- listen up New Balance and Clark's!).

This is my first pair of hiking boots ever! (I’m 52...) I thought I would have to wear them around the house to break them in. Instead, I wore them all afternoon and night—outside, inside, everywhere. I’m thinking of buying them for my adult children for Christmas.

I love these boots. They were comfortable right out of the box. I'm an11M and this boot feels roomy in the toe box and true to size. They're also comfortable around my ankles- they're not too stiff or confining. Keens are always my first choice. If your foot is a B width and you're a big girl size 11 you should give this style a try.
