I have a lot of Arcteryx gear and this is my first real problem. The jacket is light and warm and a good fit so I chose it for an expedition last week in the Norwegian Arctic. But for no apparent reason, as I was putting the jacket on in my tent, the zip broke, rendering it dysfunctional during a storm. Maybe I was unlucky with this particular jacket, or maybe it is a problem with trying to save so much weight on the little zip. Had I chosen my Canada Goose Hybridge Lite down jacket, it is not quite as warm but it has a much more substantial zip, not liable to fail in the same way. Arcteryx has not let me down before, but you have to have gear you can depend on. This will be an interesting test of the company's policy to see how smoothly they repair / replace the item. Let's see.

, I've only had this jacket for a week and loved it out of the box, however the material already has several holes and a lot of the down ha scone out of places other than the seams

For the money this jacket should have so much more. The zipper is very poorly designed. I have to re-zip it almost every time I wear the jacket. At the bottom of the jacket, the zipper somehow doesn't hold together (see pic) and it is very difficult to fix it. The hood is pretty much useless as the there are no drawstrings in the front (the string behind the hood does not help either). Also the amount of feathers it loses compared to other down jackets I own is exponential. For the money there are better options out there I'm not I will buy another Cerium LT Hoody again.

Overall love the style, look, fit and warmth of this jacket but incredibly disappointed in the quality. The down feathers are leaking out the back seams. I thought this would subside after a couple wears but now I am embarrassed to put it on as it looks like I have two cuts down the back of the jacket. For such an expensive down jacket, in comparison to competitors, I expected more from Arc'teryx. This is the 5th item I have owned from Arc'teryx and the only one I would not recommend.

Just tried this at a store in Denmark. Very expensive but seemed quite lovely. I didn't know the brand and hence had to look it up which lead me to this page. I must say after reading the criticism about down leaking, leaking zipper, poor material etc. I immediately noticed the very flimsy zipper myself. I can say with absolutely certainty that I don't dare buying this jacket. A jacket at this price should be flawless. It's proving near impossible to replace my old the north face diez summit jacket with 900 fill down, ultra lite and very strong pertex fabric. Anyone remember ? Back when NF made quality? Dear Arcteryx why so many faults on a potentially high quality jacket?

I am extremely disappointed in my recent purchase of this jacket. Given the price, I would expect it to last me at least a few winters with normal wear. Instead, after using the jacket about 3 times per week for just a few months, I am noticing the down shedding and the material giving way. I wear this from the house to the car to the office or errands and cannot think of how I would have torn the fabric. No rock climbing or downhill skiing here. I do not dare to wash it for fear it will fall apart.

I just bought one from back country. On every other day you see a small white spot on the jacket. when you want to remove it , you get it to know its down. I am sick of it removing down on every other day. Looks like arcteryx have started compromising on quality.I will return it for sure.

In der Farbe "eisblau" schimmern die schwarzen Federn (nicht die weien Daunen!) durch. Dadurch sieht die Jacke aus, wie mit zahlreichen Schmutzflecken behaftet. Sehr unschne Optik. Bei dunklerem Oberstoff vielleicht weniger auffllig.

My review is for the fall 2016/winter 2017 version of the jacket. They appear to have updated this year's version, but I think it is helpful to know because some of last year's models are still out there on the market. This jacket suffers from two flaws that, for me, have proved highly problematic. One, the jacket is (maybe was now) cut too short. This allows air to easily slip in, especially on the back. Two, Arcteryx left out a drawstring for the waist so you cannot cinch it down to cut out the air slipping in. You can add a shell and cinch the shell down but I have found this is not always the perfect solution nor does it always solve the problem. Thus, these two flaws build off each other. Regrettably, I didn't notice these problems prior to cutting the tags when I tried it on around the house. I find that when in the cold the air slips in the bottom and quickly destroys the warmth from the jacket. I must not be the only person who found this a serious problem, however, because Arcteryx claims to have addressed both of these points in their revision to this year's jacket. The cerium lt is very stylish. It looks nice walking about town and even to wear with semi-formal clothes to the office. I do like a stylish jacket but not at the expense of function, especially for something this expensive. If Arcteryx has indeed dealt with the problems, then this jacket may now be dialed in and worth it. Last year's model, to me, was not worth the money. In essence, I feel like I have a beta version that's not very useful for what it was made for and in the end leaves me cold.

I was so excited to get this jacket at Xmas. The reviews were good. However it does not keep me warm. We have had such a mild winter (Toronto). I can't imagine how poorly it would perform it was a normal winter. Even with a wool sweater underneath, it is not adequate. A shell would provide the same protection. I would not recommend this brand nor will I buy again. For the price point, the performance is very poor.

Surprised the down leaks out. Not only through stitching but it has also punctured the fabric near the pocket. I thought this product wouldn't leak down given the price tag. Anyone else had similar issue?

I have three down jackets from different top teir manufacturers. I recently bought the Cerium LT as my midweight down. The fit and tailor is second to none as far as down jackets go. Since I've bought it, I've been very dissapointed with ability for the outer shell to keep the down inside the jacket. I've never had a down that has bled so much. First time I've been dissapointed with Arc'Teryx (and I own a lot of pieces) but this jacket is going back.

This is my honest review of the Cerium LT. It is very fragile, has great fit and warm. I wore the Cerium LT Hoody to the zoo in 2C very rainy day (10-15mm precipitation forecasted) with a regular dryfit t-shirt under it and a waterproof shell. I was very comfortable outside even with the windchill of -5C, and going inside tropical pavilions where the temperature is 22C and humid, i was comfortable too. I did not have to unzip at all. This jacket is very good at regulating my core temperature. The fit is great. medium is perfect. the jacket is warm and toasty. the color (black) is classy. the jacket is very light. The cons: 1. the hood draw cord is very easy to adjust, however the elastic cord tightens around my head like a hair net and it hurts my forehead and ears after a while and it leaves a red mark. 2. the fit is very good, but the hem really lacks the drawcord feature. Cold gets in there, although only on very gusty winds, or when i bend over to tie my shoes. 3. the fabric is light and nice to touch but very fragile. after the zoo trip, i noticed that abrasion marks appeared on the portion of the fabric where my chin rubbed against it. my guess is it does not resist beard stubble that well. very dissappointing. i returned the Cerium LT Hoody. Hopefully the Cerium SV is a lot more durable.

I expected a great mid-weight layer jacket from a reputable company but got an expensive, underwhelming jacket. The issues: - poor distribution of down-fill around the waist (all was compressed to one side of jacket and none on other side) - No drawstring around waist so very drafty (there is elastic but too light to do anything) - threads coming out on front chest baffles (only casual use as underlayer - 4 months) - threads coming out on inside collar / hood area (only casual use as underlayer - 4 months) The good things about it: - high wamth to weight ratio (compact) - looks great I've owned both MEC and Taiga down-fill jackets and have been much happier with them.

Bought this jacket in hope that the quality and the name would stand the test of time, within two months of purchase this jacket became flat and also started to shed down through the arm area, this not happened with one jacket but also twice with the same jacket, the outer materials used in this jacket are toilet paper thin and not fit for purpose, and become the biggest waste of money I have ever made. So much so that it might aswell be thrown away.

Bought this jacket about 18 months ago and only wear it when it's really cold Before I washed it you just cannot belive how warm this is, just a great jacket But after the first wash, that's where it just get worse, the filling "gathers" and bits of down in the washing machine, put it in the dryer on low heat will hopefully make it right? No just a lumpy jacket where parts of the jacket have no insulation and other parts have much thicker insulation I sent back to Arc'teryx and they just washed and sent it back telling me "it was not loosing down" and how to wash it "the correct way" was washed the correct t way with a down wash and followed garment instructions Very disappointing and would certainly not buy another Arc'teryx product

I got this jacket in store and wore it 3-4 days before i noticed the down feathers leaking from the stitching. I realized this after i noticed the lower back has almost 0 down feathers. The sleeves seem to be fine but the core does not stay warm due to this. Bought this to use as my jacket for work (popular in banks) but no point since it doesnt keep me warm for early morning travels.

Issues with the jacket right away. These are not dark feathers but instead they are discolorations of the materials. The material seems extremely thin. Stuffing is coming out fo the seems already and we have not worn the jacket.

Purchased 10/19, tore 3/21. This jacket is great for watching Netflix on the couch. The fabric has torn, like many other reviews, through normal active wear and cold weather camping. They should include a yard of "tenacious tape" with each purchase, as I will need it to prolong the "practical lifespan" to comparable brands.

I received this jacket as a gift about a year ago. Never had I enjoyed wearing a down jacket as much as this one. Incredible warmth, comfort and style. However, there are a few things anyone should know before purchasing this jacket. First, the zipper is incredibly flimsy (YKK 3). Mine broke within 6 months of wear. Secondly, the jacket is very likely to develop small tears, which are a challenge to patch. It's unfortunate, because a couple of small adjustments would make this a knock-out.
