I'm very happy with this jacket and I like the fit. I've had it for nearly 3 months and still can't believe the warmth it packs yet weighs so little. I overheat easily but have found It quite comfortable around the zero temperature range and it has been good all the way through a recent cold snap into the minus 20's My only complaint is the zippers are small and impossible to work with gloves on and can be annoying even with bare hands. I don't understand the reasoning for that when this jacket was designed.

I bought this jacket for everyday use in our cold Ottawa winter (January-Feb wind chills often below -25C) and it has been a great performer. Amazing weight/warmth with the 850 down I have never been cold in this jacket. It's actually too warm for any significant activity level like skating on the canal or shovelling snow. The hood is a major bonus .... glad I went for the hoodie instead of the regular jacket. Only minor issue I would prefer a heftier main zipper and like some other reviews I have had a couple of feathers bleeding out.

Pros - The product is incredibly warm and light weight - It packs really small and is great for travel - Had no issues with just the jacket and a t-shirt in 32 degree weather (this can easily vary from one person to another) - Hood easily kept my head warm - Works well layering with my Arc'teryx Atom LT (for extreme warmth) - Works well layering with my various shell jackets Cons - Feathers easily come out of the product - Loss of time just putting feathers back in - Always having to check if a feather is popping out

I've had my Cerium jacket for a couple of months now. It's great -- super light and compact, comfortable, and warm. I have been wearing it as a jacket, haven't yet used it as a mid-layer so can't speak to that, but on it's own, it's a good winter coat. I have the nighthawk -- it's a nice navy with orange trim. Subtle yet on point. They have quite a fitted cut, so they fit snug - just a warning. If you're looking for a down sweater, this is a great option.

This is the warmest, lightest down jacket. Wearing it with a tee shirt I feel like I have nothing on (weight wise) but warm to just below freezing. This is the first Medium ArcT piece that doesn't quite fit me. When I'm tired and my shoulders are rounded it's fine, but when I'm heading out, feeling good and standing tall, it pulls right arcross the chest- at the top of my sternum and a bit at the armpits. (I am almost 6 feet, 170 lbs).. As an uphill skiier I might have bigger lungs than the rock climbers that most of ArcT is built for. (I've had the discussion with local rep that ArcT just misses the SkiMo market) Also, I have to agree with the other reviewer that a draft blocker is needed on Version 2. I feel this fits 1/2 size small- nearly baselayer snug. Due to snug fit and warmth I haven't tested it ice climbing yet (too warm for rock climbing).

Awesome jacket. I wear it under my shell while skiing and very warm. One complaint is that there is no inside pocket and oversight if you ask me. Other than that I truly love it.

A great fit, light and snug. However, surprised that every few days a few down feathers come out. Not sure what is considered normal with down jackets, but somewhat surprised. Had a few down jackets in the past and lost less down than with this one. Haven't yet used it for any winter activities so a bit worried how durable it will be.

I was really excited when Arcteryx finally announced their down jackets, and bought one this summer to use on a week backpacking trip in the Wallowas. Overall the warmth is good for the weight. Keeps me cozy down into the 30's with not much on underneath. The fit is pretty athletic, and this is the first Arcteryx jacket I've owned (of many) where I wished the sleeves were just a bit longer. The range of motion is pretty good, but an extra 1/2 inch or so would keep the sleeves from annoyingly pulling up my wrists when reaching both arms forward. The hood is nice and adds quite a bit of warmth. I always prefer the hoody versions of Arcteryx jackets because the collars on the non-hooded ones are so short (i.e. Atom LT) and don't give much coverage. The fabric is nice and I like that its not too glossy, typical great construction with high stitch-counts. Plan to keep this one awhile but hope Arcteryx will consider adding just a bit to the sleeves.

As mentioned by other reviewers, the jack is very warm, very light, a good fit, and generally meets the excellent standard of construction that you'd expect with all Arc'teryx products. Compared to the Atom LT, the Cerium LT is lighter and a bit warmer. I've worn the jacket in 25F weather with a long sleeve shirt underneath and I was perfectly warm. On the other hand, I find the Atom LT only comfortable down to the high 30s. A few suggestions for improvement: 1) No draft tube behind the zipper - the Cerium LT does not have anything behind the zipper, so I can feel a cold strip of wind down my chest in extremely windy conditions. In comparison, the Atom LT has a small strip of material running along the length of the zipper to prevent cold air from seeping through and hitting your chest. 2) Length of the jacket - the back of the jacket is not as long as the Atom LT. I've found the Atom LT to be slightly longer in the back of the torso than the front, which serves as a good protector from cold weather when you bend over to reach things. The Cerium seems to be uniform in length from front to back so it exposes your back when you bend forward. 3) Hoody - the hoody is very warm and the new cinching capability is useful. However, I think the hoody is a bit smaller than that of the LT so it makes it a bit difficult/awkward to wear a climbing helmet underneath it. Overall, the Cerium LT is a wonderful jacket that performs as you would expect. Although the jacket is probably a bit more delicate than the Atom LT, it's lighter and warmer so you'd be able to use it in more severe weather conditions.

I love this jacket but a carton of juice spilt on it in my backpack leaving it very sticky so I followed the label instructions - do not dry clean, do not use fabric softener and low tumble dry with a tennis ball. I did all that and I now have an absolutely flat jacket with no 'puff' left and it looks awful and offers no warmth. It's way too expensive for this to be a problem. Please advise on how to clean it before I buy another.

I bought this jacket 2.5 years ago and wore it pretty much non-stop apart from summer months. 2 small kids sitting on my shoulders all the time, throwing it down wherever, and not really taking good care of it, it still looks great and I loved every moment I wore it. However, the most crucial component, the zipper, is failing. It just opens up again because it seems to be worn out. Looking at the zipper, it always looked and behaved fragile so I understand it happened but in the end I did not expect it from a jacket costing this much and otherwise still in perfect shape. Really kind of a bummer since buy my Arcteryx gear because it is nearly indestructible. Since without the zipper the jacket becomes useless, giving it a lower score than I think it deserves...

Fit is a little smaller than a large. I suggest trying it on at a store before buying online...

I recently bought another Cerium LT Hoody to replace one I bought back in 2014 which is looking a little worse for wear. The new jacket looks great however, despite buying the same size as before (M) I just don't find it as comfortable. I have tried them back to back and the new one is definitely neater across the chest and shoulders to the point that I can't really wear it with a warm jumper underneath. Obviously I should have realised this immediately and returned it but I just presumed sizing would be consistent. I can't justify replacing it now so will stick with the old one unless I am wearing a thin t-shirt/shirt underneath. For what it's worth, my chest/waist measurements match the "size guide" indications for size M perfectly. Most irritating!

It cannot be published to the website, but.. I bought this jacket thinking it could be worn as a mid layer and standalone. The feathers show through because the color is too translucent. It makes the jacket look discolored. For this reason I would not recommend buying this jacket for anything else but a mid layer in the light colors.

I already owned this model (size S), same year, different color. The new one I purchased (always size S) is much narrower. I will have to return it.

Buying this has turned out to be very underwhelming, the fit for my xl is just off somehow, the warmth Is disappointing , too expensive for quality and performance, it sure doesn't look like the picture. I have a North Face L3 down hoody and it is superior to this in all ways, I plan on getting rid of this and getting another L3 or the Feathered Friends Eos,, I have other Feathered Friends jackets and they are quite simply the finest anywhere

After years of abusing my Patagonia nano puff, and in need of a warm light jacket for sierra trips this season I decided on the cerilium lt. It's warm and light and packs down nicely, perfect for taking as an emergency layer. However, I spent 9 days in Joshua tree and the thing got shredded. This thing is no match for JT sharp rock, and tough flora. It sustained multiple down spewing rips. While lightness is great, it's worthless if it can't stand up to day to day use. Given how delicate the fabric is I think it should have come with a patch kit and a a few grams of down.

I absolute love this jacket because it is really warm, fit me perfectly, lightweight and also packable. However, I'm sad that it might not last long. I purchased this jacket around two-three weeks ago and has only been able to wear pretty much 4 times before I first noticed down coming out in the underarm area. I was surprised but I didn't care much but I noticed more and more down comes out in different areas both the inside and outside, and i'm disappointed. This jacket is not tight for me, it has always been hung because I didn't want anything to scratch it. I know at one point the down will come out, but I didn't expect it to be this early, considering the price of this piece:(

I have been buying Arc'teryx for years because of its high quality and attention to detail but I must say this jacket isn't bad but NOT Arc'teryx quality. The fabric is far too delicate. A dog lightly jumped on me the second day I had this jacket and put a hole in it. I used fabric tape to fix it and it's good, but to me it ripped too easily-even for a down jacket. I also notice that the fabric is already pilling. Very odd. It pills where my face is and at the stretchy wrists. The chin flap is also very uncomfortable. The down moves too much inside the jacket. I do massage it back but I have to do it basically every time I wear it. I cannot really move the down enough in the arms making the inside of the elbow without down. I also see that one of the down pockets is not stuffed enough. I don't understand why. Not Arc'teryx quality. In another Arc'teryx jacket I have, the stuff sack is put in a little pocket on the inside but this one just flops around in the pocket. The zipper feels very cheap and with no flap, wind comes in. The fit is good and the design is great. It's also very lightweight. I love the mix of insulations. It's still a good jacket but I don't go to Arc'teryx, nor pay the high price, to get a jacket with these faults. For that reason, I can't recommend, not at this price.

The jacket looks very nice and light weight. However the fabric is very fragile, even with daily activity and not outdoor camping, the fabric still worn out very fast, so you will have to be very careful. The customer service is very nice and efficient though, in term of repair and exchange.

Fits on the small size. The sleeves are too short for this size jacket. Had to return it.

This jacket fits perfect. If it wasn't for the down leaking more than any other down jacket I've ever had, I'd give it a 5 star.
