Great product with all the features I need in a bomb-proof Gore-Tex Pro shell.

Just wrapped up my second season of snowboarding with this jacket and it's amazing. Wind and moisture don't stand a chance, the Gore-Tex Pro is unreal. Some breathability is compromised but that's to be expected. Giant pit-zips help you dump heat quickly after high-output runs. It's loaded with thoughtful features. The helmet compatible hood is easy to put up and down, plus it cinches if/when you're not wearing a helmet. The small zipper pocket on the left arm is great for storing lift tickets. The drop pocket is perfect for storing gloves or other odds and ends. The powder skirt stays right where you want it and keeps snow out. I could go on and on. The bottom line is this thing looks and performs like a top-notch hard shell. It's not cheap but you won't have any buyer's remorse. I would recommend sizing down. My Cerium, Atom vest, and Covert half zips are all size L but for this jacket I had to swap the L for a M and there's still plenty of room to layer comfortably. Highly recommend this jacket!

I'm 6'3, 185 lbs and got a Medium in the Pheonix colourway. Great lenght for me (taller) and I generally prefer more trim cuts, so the medium was perfect for that. Fits my Cerium without issue (for the freezing night ski sessions), but most comfortable with my Atom as the base layer. Size up if you want a bit more room for base layers. Construction and build is second to none with this jacket. It's my 3rd Arcteryx Gore Pro jacket, and might be my favourite of the three. Chews through soaking days with ease; not a single hint of saturation to the under-layers.

This jacket is indestructible and impermeable to outdoor elements. You can take a high powered pressure washer to this jacket and water won't get through. Lightweight, a little rigid, but great durability, fit, and weatherproofing. Shell is a little rigid compared to other goretex shells, but does nothing to impede free movement.

I bought this jacket in December 2020. My research involves extensive backcountry ski & snowmobile travel over mountainous terrain in all kinds of winter weather conditions, which is typically quite hard on gear. I was looking for a lightweight, but rugged, shell for winter fieldwork that would hold up to a beating. What I liked: I've now used it 3-5 times a week for about 3 months and it has held up to the test phenomenally. The GORE-TEX PRO material has kept me dry in deep powder, heavy snow & sleet -- the skirt fits tight (as it should) and the jacket breathes well. It's also great for wind protection when travelling at high speeds. Much to my dismay, it's stood up to abrasions from bushwhacking through willows and conifers. It does fit a little on the large size, but it works quite well for me as I typically layer it over bibs & an Atom LT hoodie. What could be improved: As a few others have mentioned, I do notice the lack of pockets. In particular, the jacket lacks a pocket that I'd feel comfortable putting my phone in while skiing and a "dump pouch" on the inside for a beanie or gloves for switching throughout the day. This is by no means the end of the world, but should be noted. Overall, I highly recommend this jacket for its performance and ruggedness.

I have had this jacket for two seasons now and I kinda think it is going to kill my ability to buy another coat for a while. I am 155lbs and 6 feet tall and went with a small and it fits perfectly with enough room to layer two base layers and an insulation layer with no issues. The cut is perfect and is on the slim side, but far from restrictive. The material is almost bombproof and has stood up to two winter seasons of use with no signs of wear. This stuff is the definition of investment pieces as you really don't need to think about replacing them for years (which is not that great because the new colorways are always so great). Can't say enough good stuff about Arcteryx gear and this coat specifically. I'll be a lifelong customer because of this one jacket.

The year after I got this shell I became a full time ski instructor and the Rush has been my free ski shell of choice for 6 seasons now. It was only after I began spending 140 days a year in ski gear that I grew to truly appreciate how well thought out the fit on this jacket is. The oversized pit zips dump heat when it warms up and the hood cinches perfectly to cover a ski helmet but not blind my peripheral vision(unlike my uniform jacket...) Best of all this thing keeps me dry even when it rains on the chair and in blow downs on the mountain, while the hood stays place in 50mph gusts. The sleeve cuffs work well with gloves that have a gauntlet or neoprene cuffs. My only gripe is the powder skirt snaps don't match the Arcteryx ski pants I bought the very next season so mild inconvenience to say the least. With time, I've grown to greatly appreciate the dynamic fit and the way it is comfortable ranging from a sun shirt touring to 3+ mid layers when it is truly frigid.

I have had a similar shell to this one that I bought in the 1990's I think. It looks virtually brand new, and repels rain and wind like the day I bought it. I am currently wearing it for biking, and appreciate the light weight and venting options. So much flexibility when layered over fleece or lighter technical shirts.

Bought this jacket for a mix of Resort and Touring. My previous experience was the Macai. This jacket looks good I got the Alchemist color and the revised fabric is durable and should hold up very well. I had the jacket out at Lake Louise and was trying Atom LT and Atom AR as mid layers. I found the jacket breathes very well during high output activities like moguls but the strong winds at Lake Louise does go through it but I was never cold that was around -10c. I didn't sweat like crazy like the Macai and the jacket helped move the heat out quickly so I wasn't damp with sweat all day. I tend to boil going down then freeze on the chair up but this combination worked perfectly and I was never wet and cold. I haven't used it in -20c yet so I can't speak to its performance at that temp yet. Durability wise this should last for years. My Macai has the N40p-x and it held up well to tree branches and rocks but my backpack did work through the fabric in some spots after years of heavy use. With the new fabric this jacket should outlast my Macai which has lasted over 6 years of heavy use. I would recommend this jacket it looks good feels good and moves excess heat out quickly. I bought the small and at first when I zipped it up it felt tight so I panicked and put on my thickest mid layer and it fit, what I was feeling was the powder skirt. Without it done up the powder skirt hugs the body which is very nice. I usually don't do mine up to allow heat to escape and every now and then get powder up the jacket but with this form fitting one it's there all the time and it's mesh so it breathes nicely so you don't overheat and keeps the snow mostly out when its not done up. With the skirt done up it will keep all the snow out. The inside pockets are mesh I suspect to help the coat breath so not the best storage for electronics.

My wife bought this for me on sale and I love the jacket. I am typically 2xl but the XL fit good, I think 2XL would have been a little big for me as I am 6'1" and 250lbs. Great features and waterproofing for the worst conditions we can have here in Montana. Everyone needs a good bulletproof shell like this if you live in the North or in mountain conditions. Hopefully after the price this will last me 10-15 years which I assume it will.

I bought this jacket knowing full well it's legendary status. In short, it's lived up to it's name. Bomber gore tex construction, solid zippers, a great storm hood and I love the Phantom purple color. All in all a great peice.

The Rush jacket has performed as a great back/side/front country shell. A good amount of room for layering (I'm 6'0" 200lbs), great length, used with Stinger pant. 'Weatherproof' - never doubt the protection. I have not been gentle with the jacket and it shows no signs of wear after years of use. Highly recommended.

Mine has been in some interesting weather on the slopes in Quebec, Colorado, and Switzerland. No matter the conditions, this jacket has not let me down. Cold weather, pair it with a Proton LT or Nano Air. For 35F or warmer, works wonderfully with a light sweatshirt. Breathability is excellent, build quality is bomb-proof. I'm 6'2, 180lbs, very fit, and the Medium is perfect. Ski jackets are not supposed to be slim fit so if that is the look you're going for you're not in the right hobby. That said, this is nicely tailored with no unnecessary bulk from chest down.

The Rush jacket is the best I have ever had for bad weather and for splitboarding. I also use this jacket for rainy days when hiking or in the city. The GoreTex Pro keeps the rain, the wind and the snow out. I like the big pockets in the front, the hood that can be tightened and that can fit a helmet, the fit, the long back, the breathability while walking uphill and how it protects me from cold winds, wet snow and strong winds. I use this jacket together with the Cerium SL or the Thorium AR jacket.

I have mostly been using this jacket for resort skiing and being outdoors during snowstorms. I run pretty warm, so even for resort skiiing i struggled with being too hot. With this jacket, I am comfortable wearing just a base layer and light fleece from around 10 F - 40 F and regardless of wind.

I love this jacket. It was a gift from my wife. I've used it 30-40 days over the last couple of years skiing in everything from warm icy conditions to freezing cold, windy, powder days. The jacket performed exactly as I had hoped. I will also wear it on rainy days at home. Also, the customer service has been incredible. I've had one issue with the jacket and Arcteryx too care of the problem immediately.

Amazing jacket which I just wished was a bit cheaper but you pay for quality. Wish the sold pants in same material in a matching/complimentary colour. Can't find many products in a large size in stock.
