I bought one of these at the start of last season. I like it so much I purchased two more for this season. My preferred mid-layer fabric is Polartec fleece and this is the best implementation of it I've found.
Fit - For me a good mid layer surrounds my neck but neither strangles it or is loose. The fit in this accomplishes that. It's very lightweight for what it accomplishes. Plays well with other layers.
Durability - Best I've found for this type of material. I ski most days in the winter so really appreciate that. Last year's jacket saw about 70 days and shows no apparent signs of wear.
Appearance - Personal but really like how it looks on.
This is a quality piece that will hold up to frequent use.

Perfect for layering, perfect for stand alone use. Most comfortable piece I wear.
QUESTION: I own two Kyanite jackets. I want a third in grey (can't find this color). How would Delta LT compare across the board? Thanks for responding with feedback.

Angenehme leichte Jacke fr alle Aktivitten. Besonders praktisch fr drunter oder als leichte Jacke wenn es nicht ganz zu kalt wird.

I have two of these jackets one blue and one black. I wear them every day when the weather is suitable. So comfortable and the zipper goes up and down easier than any other zipper on a jacket.

Exceptional fleece. Forms fitting, sleek, ultra comfy. I hate to say it because I've been a die hard fan of Patagonia for years, but this blows the R1 out of the water. Will pick up the hoody soon.

I love this product. I found it to be true to size ( I do not like that slim fit -tight feel ) , well made and the perfect weight for layering. I like it so much that I just purchased a second one of a different color for my wardrobe. I almost forget to mention that it breaths well.

Great fleece, warmth to weight ratio is perfect. The collar is a bit big, so it doesn't close around the neck, but that is a minor issue. Other than that it is a really great fleece for layering or everyday use. I'm 6'2 and 220lbs and the large was perfect.

Very good quality and an excellent fit, warm and very stylish, Dark Moss is a really nice colour different to the blacks and greys I normally purchase. The only niggle is the material snags easy and pulls, but other than that would definitely recommend it.

This is one of the best mid-layer fleeces I have ever purchased. I have tried several from top competitive brands but this is the best of all. First this is a fleece I wear every day. I put it on in the morning and usually wear it all day. Its very warm, it doesn't pill like a lot of other fleeces on the market. I like the smooth exterior finish and the softness of the interior finish. I throw a 150 / 200gm merino base layer underneath and I am set or I have also put it on by itself after jumping out of the pool. Its lightweight, not bulky and the trim fit keeps your core very warm. The (2) hand pocket are set at the perfect height and easy to access. Also the internal pocket will hold my IPhone 7+ and is perfect size.
I am 6'5" and weigh 185lbs with a tall lean build. The only upgrade I would make is instead of the hem being a straight horizontal cut, I would change it to a drop back hem to avoid any waist creep during activity or bending over. Overall same high quality and expert sizing you expect from Arcteryx.

Love this Jacket! This one fits true to the typical Arc athletic fit. The jacket really moves with you with an incredible amount of stretch. It is much warmer than I had expected for such a light and thin piece (About double the thickness and warmth of the Adahy) The Jacket is super soft but still durable thus far. My favorite part is the thoughtful design of the pockets, they have a soft face against your hands but really let you vent excess heat when unzipped as the pockets extend all the way up into the chest/neck area, genius! This, for a fleece, ranks right up there with my Atom LT for midlayer bliss! If I was forced to add a negative or wish for this one it would be the 'no slip zip' zipper bump stops could be a tad more aggressive. That's not to say they don't work but under heavy movement I do experience some zipper movement. Not enough to remove a star, A++

Received this as a Christmas present and was really happy. It's comfortable and lightweight, yet very warm for the weight and thickness. It is possibly a touch short as I prefer a slightly longer jacket, but honestly this is a very minor issue. I got the black version as I'm not much of a fan of the other options.

My new favorite to wear around home, or under a Thorium SV for a walk on a really cold day. The Kyanite is soft and really comfortable. I used to live in a Covert pullover, but the Kyanite has become my new go-to layer.

I've had two of these jackets and been very happy with them. I also have a Kyanite gilet - again happy. However, I have just received my third Kyanite jacket, and the immediate disappointment is that there is no inside breast pocket, which all the others have had. It may only be a small thing, but I use it constantly and must find somewhere else to keep the stuff that usually goes there. Why change?

The most comfortable, effective fleece I have ever had. Perfect for layering under a ski jacket, or for warmth while hiking, or just as a jacket to take camping in summer. My go-to adventure layering piece.
A few minor issues though with the fabric, zipper and cut.
The fabric does pill somewhat, so it doesn't look as fresh as when I first got it only a few months ago.
The zipper also will only "hold" closed at the top or at 2 specific spots, otherwise will run itself down to the bottom. This is obviously a deliberate design choice, and works fine as long as you are happy with the zipper to be open, closed or in one of those 2 positions. Unfortunately for me the combination of where those zipper stops, and the way the slightly too long collar flopping over means this jacket is not super flattering on me.
It means that its not my go-to jumper for wearing around town on a cool day, which is a real shame because it feels great and works well, just doesn't look as great!
But super fit for purpose and will wear any day in the mountains where I don't care about how I look so much.

This is my second Kyanite jacket and is a great midlayer for winter and cool shoulder seasons. I am 5' 8" 152lbs and medium fits well apart from sleeves which are slightly long but can live with. It fits nicely over a base layer or t shirt and layers great under my atom LT hoody. It is lightweight but despite this is a very warm jacket and I consider myself a chilly person. No slip zips work well, collar is just right and pockets good. Feels great on, has worn well and I am really pleased with both of them.

I love the jacket lightweight mid layer is perfect for varying conditions when layering is a must. It fits nicely over a base layer (or two) and allows ample room for a shell jacket over top. The Iliad color looks great. The material has a nice soft, cozy feel to it, without sacrificing quality and function. The only complaint is the sizing. I'm 5'9" 205 lbs, I needed a large because for the chest size, but the sleeves are too long. Not a big deal, but it would be nice if Arc'teryx offered more options in sizing, such as separate options for chest size and sleeve length.

This is a really lovely mid layer. I personally find it too warm for any real activity. The delta zip i have is a way better choice for skiing or running, but for everyday activities this top is very comfortable. The EXTREME stretch makes it comfortable for whatever movement while reducing bulk because it fits closer to your body. I love the outer fabric because it slides inside any outer layer so it doesn't feel like another layer. The zipper is a bit weird and I read that people had trouble with it lowering on it's own, but mine doesn't. It does have a "hitch" around 3 inches from the top, but it doesn't bother me much.

Didn't feel as good as my previous fleece ,a bit lighter. The fit was different also . The sleeves are longer in a bad way . Otherwise it's fine.

I've had this jacket for about 6 weeks and it's been used mainly as a layering piece but occasionally on its own as a warm layer. I'm 5.9 and wear a size M, the fit is perfect. The longer length at the back means it doesn't ride up, there is no readjusting needed. I love that it's stretchy, it doesn't feel like you're wearing a fleece.
My one complaint is that after wearing it once while carrying a daypack, the back of the jacket is now pilled. I was expecting it to be more durable.
