I loved this jacket the moment I tried it on and was so disappointed when I washed it the first time, following instructions it got a huge tear in the front. If you get this jacket for sure wash in a front load with a mesh bag-don't even consider that as a recommendation!! Hand washing is even better. After getting it replaced (Arcteryx you are wonderful!) the outer fabric got slightly caught in the sipper as I did it up and ripped the fabric again. Love the coat but would certainly trade a little extra weight for something more durable. When I go into the bush I feel a little as though I am off roading with a brand new truck that I'm afraid to get scratched. Its not nearly as fun when you're constantly worried that you're going to rip your jacket on a tree branch or rock. If you get this jacket plan on keeping a roll of gear tape handy.

I really like this jacket, but critically i.e. most importantly, especially for such a high price, in terms of design and functionality, the high amount of feathers that it loses frequently is too much. In a year or two of purchase, it will have lost insulation, and been a bad value buy.

This is a new jacket. It says (on the same card PS156 attached to the garment) that this a "down jacket with 850 WHITE goose down". Below, on the same card, under Fabrics, it says: "850 fill GREY goose down".
White goose down is the superior one.
Please explain.

I was obsessed with third bit it got to the point where it had to be cleaned. I followed the care instructions exactly and even read some info from others who had the same jacket, but it just hasn't been the same since. Planning on sending it back. I have many Arcteryx jackets and they all say we'll, it's just the down that is difficult.

I was really disappointed when I received my jacket and tried it on. It fit like a size medium and I ordered a large and wear a large in most jackets.

This morning I wore this out in a chilly breeze. Light, warm and wind resistant, it did very well. However, I continued on a light walk that included climbing several flights of stairs. When I took the jacket off my shirt was damp all over, as was the inside of the jacket. The synthetic insulation may be great for holding heat when wet, but it is the poorest breathing jacket of the 6 Arcteryx jackets that I own. So much so that it is IMO a design flaw. Had I a do over I would not buy it as the purpose of Arcteryx products is outdoor use. Who doesn't work up a sweat when active and outdoors?

Rip in arm after only a couple weeks of wearing (casually). Not even sure what caused it (ie. Didn't feel my jacket catch on anything).
After some online reviews on repair / warranty, most people said that even if I send it in to Arcteryx to fix it, they will probably use tape to repair the tear, which I just did myself. This tape is very noticeable on a prominent area of the jacket (outer arm), so I would say this is super disappointing.
Hopefully Arcteryx will help more than people are saying online. I have submitted a customer service request, however they quoted 4-5 weeks before they respond (!!).
Regardless of how they deal with this issue, based on how easily it ripped, I'm sure in years to come this will be a repeat occurrence.

Arcteryx isn't joking when they say this jacket is not waterproof. It's rough even if worn in a light mist. The durability of the racket has been disappointing; a lot of feathers, jacket flattened within first couple wears, and the outer material marks very easy, including from normal contact with skin. The collar of my jacket is permanently stained from nothing more than contact with my neck. The jacket fits well, is reasonably warm and the Triton color is very nice (where not already marked)

I have used the Cerium LT for a year now and I have experienced a lot of down loss since day 1. This is my only disappointment with the jacket but a big one so I am unable to recommend it.

This jackets costs roughly $116 per day. Granted that's a deal for all you oil tycoons out there reading this but probably not a wide eyed patsy like myself that was drawn in by Arcterxyx's marketing. But before I go to far, there was one genuinely good thing about this jacket. It crushed it while I was sitting still on soft chair in a slightly chilly room by myself.
Now with the high performance stuff out of the way, there was a significant flaw - this is not design to be worn outside. I know that sounds a bit strange but it's delicate composition just can't handle it. This is an inside jacket.
If you, like me, throw caution to the wind and actually wear this jacket outside, please, whatever you do, don't do light yard work. You'll soon find yourself covered feathers in no time.
In my navet I thought well Archtryyyyax would certainly stand behind such an expensive jacket and boy was that a mistake. I guess I'm use to buying gear from a Patagoni... (technically following the "review rules" here;)) who actually stand behind their gear and repair it when it fails.
anyway, long story short, architecturyyyxx is not a good company to purchase gear or clothing from. Don't make the same mistake I made... we expect more.

I have had this jacket for 1-2 months max. I have only worn this jacket to my office desk and back. I have not worn this jacket hiking or backpacking or anything.
It is extremely low quality. Down continuously leaks from random tiny holes. Every time I wear it I feel like I find a different spot where down is coming out. Pictures attached.
Maybe I just got a jacket that somehow got through quality check. Very disappointed.

The jacket is warm and has a great style as other reviews have noted. However, my jacket has received multiple small tears even with light use. I am always very careful with my belongings and have only used this jacket for light travel and my daily commute. My jacket now has 3 significant tears in it. Overall I am highly disappointed in the quality of the product coming from a brand with a great reputation and a product with a high price. I love this jacket in all other ways but am extremely disappointed in the quality. I only recommend this jacket if you are not going to wear it much or don't care about rips that cause the insulation to leak out. I was ready to love this jacket when I bought it but am now left disappointed.
