Used past 3 winters. Took off fur because son doesn't like it. Keeps him plenty warm on walks to school ( 3 - 4 blocks). Just difficult to keep it clean since he's always throwing it on the ground when he gets inside. Other than that, it's been a great winter jacket for him. Hoping to pass it on to his brothers.

Looks warmer than my arctic parka 2. My daughter has a boys haircut and clothing. I thought the Arctic Swirl parka would be okay in black but it's awkwardly fitting for a tomboy. Very long. A medium is perfect for my almost 8 year old child. Room to grow and move. The sizing they suggest is small. Go up a size. Even the triclimate jacket from last two years for fall was a size up.

My son is 9, he says he's NEVER been so warm. He's got last yrs model and cant wait to wear it again this yr. Says makes outside that much more fun ;)

The coat is well made I got a XL for my husky 8 year old is a bit long but this coat will go a long way.

My kid looks super cool in jkt. He's 5 and i ordered an 6 too last 2 seasons. Love that it adds great style to his wardrobe and its super warm too. Its a bit expensive but with 3 boys it'll get passed down to the little one eventually. So this justifies my purchase. I do hope in future styles they add a hidden inner drawstring at the waist to pull in. I'll def. be ordering this jkt as he gets older ;)

My 11 year old son is very tall and this coat fits him so well. It is so warm and so durable.

This is exactly what my son needed. Saw this online and was wondering if it would be worth the price. Stopped in the store and had my son try it on. It was perfect! My son felt so comfortable in it, he loved it. It keeps him warm during this especially windy season. Jacket's quality is amazing -- skin is thick, hood covers his head entirely and keeps neck nicely sealed up. Length is perfect! Bought it a little bigger so he can wear it for a while. Love it. So worth the price!

To the person below (Shawn NJ). The reason the coat does not have a drawstring at the waist is because this is a "thigh" length jacket, adding a drawstring on a thigh jacket would be awkward to say the least and restrict movement. Had you chosen a "waist length jacket such as the Fresh Tracks, Axel, Boundary, etc - you would have found they all have adjustable draw strings at the waist. Additionally, TNF provides all this info is available in the "features" section of each jacket. I realize blaming TNF is an easy way to shift blame, but had you used a little due diligence and common sense this could have been avoided.

As all parents know children are very hard on the coats. They play and roll around and one thing is for sure I never worry about my sons North Face coat. It is extremely warm and practically indestructible! I love the North Face brand. It's very expensive but it will last you a life time. I have 3 children and I bought North Face coats for all of them. My oldest son has had his coat for 3 years and it still looks brand new. Thank you so much North Face!

I bought this for my toddler son, and it provides great coverage for the cold winter. He does not complain about being cold when wearing this jacket.

I bought this coat for my 9 yr old son. And it's a great coat for him. Keeps him warm in those Boston winters. And the style of the coat is nice. Would recommended north face to all.

Purchased for my 8 year old and he loves it. Stylish and most importantly very warm and kept him dry in the rain. Well insulated but not too bulky. Great material so i expect it to last a few years and hold up for my 4 year old when he inherits it.

I bought the size according to the website and it was a little snug so I recommend going up a size. Very warm and looks great on.

My son said jacket ya very warm. He used it the first time in 30 degree weather said it was good. The fit and look are very nice.

This coat has all the aspects that anyone could ever ask for. Not only is it exceedingly warm but all pockets and zippers flaps have Velcro and the hood is detachable. When they constructed this coat it was as if they read my mind.

Since my boy was born north face was our choice and now that my son is a little grown up hi loves it himself

Always wanted one of these coats and could not afford them. But now that i could me and my kids can't go without them. The best kind of comfort and warmth anyone could ask for. Especially during sale season!!!
