I had bought a pair of New Balance shoes over a year ago and hardly wore them as they were on the tight side even though I had bought wide width. These Asics were also wide width and they fit me so much better. My toes didn't feel all squished like the New Balance shoes. I wore it in my house all day to test the comfort and I'm happy to say it passed! I'm not a runner, just a walker, so I'll be making good use of these Asics. I also love the color!

They were cheaply made

The shoe is very comfortable - I haven't worn Asics in a long time so no comparison to prior models. I have a slightly wide foot and ordered my normal size of 8 in a wide. The toe box is perfect - I agree with another reviewer that the heel area is a bit too wide, but not enough to return the shoes. The color is also cute (grey and seashell). Thanks to Zappos for making shoe shopping fast and easy!

These shoes are comfortable and supportive. My feet do feel roomy in them, but I would not say they are 1/2 size too big. I do not run much but walk and hike on uneven ground. These shoes offer excellent ankle support. I recommend them!

These shoes are the right length and in the wide width have lots of room in the toe box. I found them too loose in the ankles, which made them a worse choice for trail running. They are also a little heavy which makes for very loud foot steps in the woods.

Good shoe

I got these to help with my plantar fascitis, they feel fantastic. The reviews said to go half a size larger, which I did, but that makes them slightly too big. I use my arch supports and they fit very well.

I love these so much that I have several pair. I can with stand being in them all day long with no achy feet at night. The traction is great so I can take my walks in them. The colors are very subdued, so they do not clash with my outfit. You cannot go wrong with these. I love them.

Exactly what i expected.

What I love about the Gel-Venture 6: Roomy toe box, comfortable, will fit orthotics or inserts, nice looking, no white rubber-it’s dark grey on the soles, its a trail shoe but I will wear all day, the bottoms seem very non-slip which I like for wet weather, I bought a half size up as I always do for running shoes, in fact I bought 2 pair.

I have worn and loved Asics GEL-Venture 5 shoes for years. And now they aren't available; when I looked for them, I was directed to this runner, the GEL-Venture 6. I ordered; they looked good, but I put them on and they do NOT fit the same as the older ones. They feel looser in the front part of the runner, and wider overall. The other thing I noticed was that while the older version had 7 lace holes, these only have 6; I think that's a big reason for feeling looser and not fitting around the heel. I'm disappointed and I'm returning them.

I bought these to use on a treadmill as my old shoes had started to wear too much and were causing pain. I was able to put these on the first day and use them without any problem - they fit great! Ideally I'd like a little more arch support so I'll probably swap out the inserts for something better but for the price these shoes are fantastic. And, they don't make my feet look huge (I wear a size 10) like most athletic shoes do. They have plenty of toe room and don't rub anywhere.

Not only were these shoes a half size too small; they had definitely been worn by someone else and returned! So, now I have to return these.

Comfortable inexpensive shoes, great for everyday use, taking walks etc!

I was terribly disappointed in this particular style of ASICS. I have had good luck with them in the past but I have worn these only twice and they have no stability, the tongue and laces press into the top of my foot and I have blisters and the beginnings of shin splints from working out in them. To be fair my feet are difficult to fit as I have very high arches and wide feet. Sadly the only way to find out they weren't going to work was to actually wear them so I cannot return them. I will be going back to Brooks.

This is the second pair of this particular shoe I have ordered. This one actually feels smaller than the other pair. Go figure. But, not so much smaller that I cannot wear them. I plan to use a shoe stretcher to make them fit more comfortable. I can use my Orthotics which is one of the reasons I bought them. I guess I would recommend them, but don't know about running, as I don't use them for that purpose.

These feel true to size - I wear an 8.5 wide in most shoes, that's what I ordered and they feel great. I wear them daily for an all around shoe and am happy that I bought them. They feel more skid resistant than my previous (New Balance) sneakers.

I ordered a 7.5 Wide. I love Asics Gel a lot and it's been years since I have been able to find them in my size. I'm 50 and recently off crutches for irritating the collagen-protein sac under the kneecap. Loved these sneakers when I first put them on. I just walked around the house with these and my same knee hurts...it has hurt every time I try a new shoe...dress, sandal or sneakers and the doctor said to rid the heels and go flat. This sneaker lined up next to my size 8 Nike runners are at least a half size longer. Nike has a bunch of anti-roll width on the sole so the Asics and Nike sole width match but I don't believe the Nike footbed is as wide as this Asics. I have to scrunch my foot forward to feel the arch support under my arch and then I can put one index finger between my heel and shoe.

I think this shoe gives moderate arch support. I am an overpronater, I have very flat feet and have orthotics to which these shoes accomodate well. I didn't have $100 to spend right now on shoes so these served a good purpose. I have had this style before and bought from another source but these shoes seemed to fit better than the other ones.
