Great fit, true to size and comfortable from the moment you put them on the first time. I have found that Asics perfect for folks with slight supination of the foot.

I have difficult feet. Ii have bunions, only one of which was fixed (and not successfully). My feet are wider in front than in back, which makes wide widths impossible because I step out of the shoes. I've pretty much tried every brand of athletic shoe -- Nike, New Balance, Saucony, Reebok, etc. Asics are the ONLY athletic shoes that are comfortable and provide adequate support. I live in a hilly city and I wear them out on the street every day, as well as at the gym. They're not as pretty or stylish as Nike, but they are the best if you have difficult feet. I recommend going up a half size. I'm a size 7 usually, but in Asics I go to a 7.5. A word of advice though if you have bunions (and this goes for any athletic shoe): if the shoe has a horizontal leather strip from the lace eyelit to the edge of the shoe, make sure that the leather strip starts farther back, e.g. the third eyelit. Otherwise that leather strip will hit your bunion. This model, the Gel Venture 6, is fine. (The best was the Exalt 3 which Asics has discontinued.)

I was looking for an underpronator running shoe (also for occasional hiking). I wear 9 M (medium) in boots/closed-toe shoes but ALWAYS need 9.5 D (wide) in Asics running shoes, which is a difficult size to find so I really wish they could get the fit right so I can buy 9 M like ALL my other shoes and other brands of running shoes. I have been wearing Asics for about 10 yrs and this shoe fits comfortably in the toe box and across the boot BUT even laced up tightly, my heel slipped out every time I took a step. So although the rest of the shoe (front to mid-shoe area) fit well, the heel was too wide/loose. Also, the cushioning was just moderate. Sending them back.

I didn't realize this was exactly the same as the pair I was replacing because the support wore out so quickly. These fit fine (which is hard for me) but don't seem to be the best shoes for someone who needs to off-load the ball-of-foot area. Though these are a medium, they aren't a bad fit for a narrower heel and wider toe box.

I'm a senior with problem feet - bunions and Morton's neuroma. I was so pleased after trying on these shoes! They are cute, lightweight, and as comfortable as the expensive brands I've tried. I ordered wide width and sized up not knowing if I'd need orthotics. I was skeptical at first since these are not as cushy as Skechers, but after doing my power walk my feet are not hurting. Hope it lasts.

I have flat feet and use sneakers for walking (not running). I have a 9-10 D/EE foot in a sneaker, and because of bunions and hammer toes I need a wide, deep toe box and mesh fabric uppers that leave room for my toes with 3/4 length orthotics and socks. Because of some reviews that said this shoe runs small, I went for the 9.5 instead of 9. The width of the D in this one is fine, the mesh uppers are yielding but look like they could go out in the rain, and I like the colors and style. It's slightly long for a 9.5, but not so much that I'm likely to trip over the toe. Like all sneakers, it doesn't have enough arch support for me, but with orthotics it's fine for walking. For people with foot issues like mine, I can recommend this sneaker.

My ankles hurt when I wear these. I only wear ASICS, but these aren't working out for me. Maybe for someone else they'd be great.

Fit really well and feels super supportive. I feel like the strong base absorbs shock from running and doing HIIT training. Laces don’t come untied, you don’t have to double knot them which is super nice! They do run maybe just a bit big; usually my feet are size 11 and I had to order a 10.5 and those fit perfectly.

I have been buying Asics for years because they have always been a good fit. This pair was the same size I always buy but felt narrower. I compared the soles with another pair of Asics and they seemed to be the same but the my eye they are narrower, and I can feel it.

I was skeptical about these shoes because of the lower price. It seems that I always end up paying upwards of $120 for my athletic/workout shoes but the reviews on this shoe were good so I decided to give them a try. I ordered the Black/Island/Blue Pink first but thought they looked boring so exchanged them for the Black/Carbon/Neon Lime. I love the look of the shoe and so far, they feel great. Unlike less expensive athletic shoes I have had in the past, there is plenty of cushion and support with the perfect width in the toe box for me. I normally wear a 7.5 Medium but always order up a half a size in athletic shoes. I'm a satisfied customer and as always, love Zappos generous return and exchange policy.

So disappointed! I loved my Gel Venture 5s but as many others said these were way to big. I thought that I could deal with it and that I could just tie them a bit tighter, but after a few workouts I knew these were just not going to work. I wish I had listened to the other reviews!!!!!

I normally wear an 11W in regular shoes. Running shoes/gym shoes are difficult for me. I ordered an 11W...it ran very short. I also ordered a 12M and it felt really good but a little big then I ordered the 11.5 wide. Found my perfect fit. A half of size up worked in this running shoe for me. The Asic Ventura Gel 6 is comfortable right from the start. I ordered 3 pairs total with the percentage off since I wear through shoes fairly fast and I am hard to fit. I would def. buy these again. I was limited in the colors in the 11 W and I ended up with the carbon/black neon lime. I like them...wish I could have gotten the hot pink as well. Just happy I ended up with something that fits. As always Zappos took good care of my exchanges with their great customer service and free shipping both ways. :)

I really liked this shoe but it rode up in the back enough to know that I would not be able to run in them. I tried them both with my orthotics and the insole and then without the insole. I was really disappointed that I had to return them.

I would like a rounder toe box instead of pointed to allow room for my big toe and second toe. I bought the wide shoes and these rub on my toes causing painful formations on them. A few years ago, I wore them at work for 12 hours a day and loved them. When I was home recovering from surgery, my toes had a chance to start spreading back to the birth position and since then, I have not been able to wear them without extreme pain. When I first began wearing this pair Asics they were great like before, until a few hours later when the toe-rub began to worsen. I walk 7 miles a day at work, I would like to be pain free.

These are the first pair of athletic shoes that I actually hate. They feel comfortable enough, structurally, but after wearing them for a few hours, my feet are horribly hot in these shoes when I'm just wearing them around the house or out for everyday use. I do not usually have sweaty, stinky feet, but these shoes trap heat and moisture so badly, that my shoes actually smell bad now, and I've only owned them for a few weeks now. I've NEVER had this problem with other shoes.
