I liked the shoes as I do most Asics but the shoe laces will not stay tied and are to short to double knot which is a hassle anyway. I've had similar issues with this line some laces are great others to slick to stay tied.You would think they would have caught this.

I've been wearing Gel Contend for many years, but the colors available right now in my size are very limited and unappealing to me. First I tried the GT-1000 6 but I couldn't find a size that seemed to fit me right. So I decided to try the Venture 6. I don't know what it is but the size 10 4E in this model seems a bit longer and wider than it did in the Gel Contend. I don't think my foot has shrunk. I'm going to have to put an insert in the heel to keep it from slipping. I wish Asics had better consistency with the sizing across models. One thing to note about the Venture is that it's not as breathable as the Contend. My feet are sweating more (not a lot, but more) in this shoe than they ever did in the Contend. Maybe because these are designed for trail running they're designed to be more water resistant.

I wear an odd size shoe: 12.5 4E. Not easy to find. These Asics Gel Ventura fit perfectly. Price is great. I will buy more soon.

I was really stoked to find shoes in my size that were under $100. I wear 15 4E. When I got them they were a little tight but I was moonstruck by the price and decided to keep them thinking they would break in eventually. After a couple of weeks they still weren’t wearing in so I shelved them. Then river season cane and I decided they would be my river shoes. I wore them without socks all summer going to the river two-three days a week a mile each way and they were great. So I’ve realized they are just tooo small to wear socks with.

Nice shoes with plenty of room for my wide supinated feet (4Es). The heel box is a little lose but acceptable. The price for value is excellent.

These look good and are comfortable. I would rank them with Nike or NB as far as build quality is concerned, I debated whether to get them or more expensive NB’s and decided to get these -hopefully they work out well, this is the review after first day.

I ordered these for my husband to wear to work. The green is very true to the picture. Not my favorite color but my husband loves them. They give him good support for walking on concrete all day

I first bought my child ASICS last year for school so when this year fell around she wanted another pair. She was really surprised at how well they have held up to her extreme wear.

I own two pair of ASICS Gel-Venture 5 shoes that I use when working around the house. They are great, sturdy and comfortable shoes. I wanted to replace one of the pairs and bought the Venture 6 in the same size 10.5M (95% of my shoe purchases are 10.5M). The Venture 6 medium width is visibly much narrower than the Venture 5. It was uncomfortable so I exchanged them for the 4E and they look and feel like the Venture 5 medium. Overall, a great shoe for the price, but be aware that they may be narrower than you're used to.

Very nice shoe. We'll see how long it lasts -- my last pair of Asics was shot before the first set of laces wore out.

The fit and size were very good. But, it was the service that makes me a customer. The shoes I tried first were not quite right. The fit was not so good. I had no trouble at all exchanging them for the shoes I purchased. Great experience!

Shoes always feel tight to me, these feel closer to "snug." Fairly comfortable right off the bat - not a lot of breaking in necessary for daily use/long walks...

Solid sneaker for price

Perfect for a growing boy, I buy new running shoes for my kid every 3-4 mo because his feet are growing so fast, he is now an 11, good dependable shoe and decent price

The color and style of this shoe attracts you right away. So far the shoe has been well cushioned walking on pavement or some moderate trails. On uneven ground the shoes do feel to grip. While wearing 4-E shoes I do find that these shoes do feel narrower than I'd like.

These ASICS Gel-Venture 6 shoes are an amazingly good shoe for the price. I use them for my daily walk of 3 fast miles, and I'm impressed with the comfort and correct fit. No, they are not as well cushioned as my ASICS Gel Cumulus running shoes, but they are very good for walking and light hiking. And they are a wonderful value. Get yours now, before ASICS charges 50% more.

toe box just a bit snug and heel cup a bit wide for my feet

Beginning with the 5 series, I've been wearing these for the past 3 years. Very few offer an 4E width size, which I need. Before, I had severe foot discomfort. These shoes helped me a lot and provided the best arch support. The only down side is the support begins to give after 5 months, so I replace them every 6 months. I would recommend, if you have foot pain.

Toe box is pretty snug and leaves little wiggle room. Sadly they will have to go back.
