I've gotten these every year for several years in a row. Bought them again this year without bothering reading any reviews. That was a mistake. The sizing is off on the Nimbus 19. It's at least a 1/2 size to 1 size off from my normal shoe size. I can compare it to my past Nimbus and it is a little shorter and narrower than the previous model even though they are the same size. Frustrating since I couldn't return them since I assumed that the same size shoe in the same line of shoes would fit so I didn't bother testing them out before I took the tag off.

ASICS has been my go to for years. It's so sad. That the toe bed has changed and is too narrow. Now I have to find a new sneKer

I have had these Nimbus 19 for a month and they kill my feet and lower back! They're not near as comfortable as previous models! Also, much smaller and narrower!

I've bought several GEL-Nimbus 18's and found the fit just great. Ordered the same size in the 19 and felt like I had a different shoe entirely. Was short and tight so I suspect that the production quality and consistently is way off for this shoe

I've been wearing ASICS for decades--and they change the design annually. The changes are not always for the better or needed: the Gel-Nimbus 19's toe box is way too small: I had to go up another half-size, and the cushioning is reduced. Please bring back the Gel-Nimbus 17! You can offer the style as a "Classic." Many people depend on consistency in shoe design to prevent injury. I hope that you read these reviews, and take your customer's comments to heart. Thank you P.S. You don't need to add color to the inside of the shoe: it gets on socks when the shoe is wet!

I am disappointed. After finding in Nimbus 17 the perfect quality running shoe with a sufficiently wide last, and then buying a couple of 18's, this 19 is a disaster for me personally. I am again forced to start testing the 4E's of other brands.

I was very happy to have found 17 and then after that I bought a couple of 18. What I don't understand is why make this so narrow now? As there is a 2E available? I need to search new shoes again, just when I thought I had found a solution.

I've been wearing the nimbus since version 11. I have a very high arch and hammer toes and have always found the nimbus to the best cushioned shoe out there. I was so incredibly disappointed when I put on this version and like most other reviewers found the toe box to be incredibly tight to the point that I cannot wear them. I usually wear a 15 medium and sometimes even a narrow, and the medium width pinches my feet so much there is pain after just a few minutes of wear. I would consider trying a 2E width but it only comes in that horrible grey color. This is a plea to asics (as someone who has relied on the nimbus for my bad feet) - PLEASE fix this issue with the toe box on the nimbus 20!

I've been buying and wearing the Gel Nimbus for many years; however, the 19s are very disappointing. I don't think they are well cushioned and the toe box is smaller than the 18. I think the 18s are a much better shoe and are the quality I've come to expect from Asics. The 19s remind me of the Nimbus 13s or 14s that everyone hated. Do yourself a favor and don't buy these.

I bought my latest pair of Nimbus in April 2017. I have about 180 miles on them and the sole looks like 300+ on my many previous Nimbus models. I've been wondering what Asics had done to make this latest model not hold up as well and ran across these comments. Glad to see my concerns are validated. I sure wish Asics would go back to whatever they did in the past with Nimbus. I'm trying to get some more miles out of these but not sure how much longer I can hold out.

For years I have buy Nimbus and are extraordinary but this ones are too tight for the size I always use. I will need to buy one size over.

Went to replace my wonderful pair from last year only to discover that the toe box has been made smaller & even going up a size didn't help. An otherwise extremely comfortable running shoe, but I now won't be able to buy Asics anymore. So annoyed at this change.

I have loved all the Gel Nimbus versions all the way from the 14 series, until now. The 19 series has the following issues: --the shoe fits too tightly all the way around, it allows very little movement of toes, this would be an excellent shoe if your climbing Mt. Everest, since they feel pressurized --Compared to the 18 series, the gel is thinner --the overall impression of the shoe is the lack of quality Plus --the shoe is certainly lighter

I highly recommend the old Gel Nimbus Tennis shoes BUT **NOT** THE NIMBUS 19! I have been purchasing Asic Nimbus shoes since the nimbus 15. I fell in love with the comfort and support they provided for my feet and knees. I no longer had to wear prescription orthotics in my tennis shoes ( which I had to do since age 14 and I am now 35). The change they made with ASIC NIMBUS 19 combining the flyte foam and gel felt hard and not nearly as comfortable. I did not get the soft gel comfort and support in the high arches of my feet. So purchased another pair of the Gel Nimbus 18 instead. I use to buy Asic Nimbus for 2 of my 4 children too who also have foot support and knee problems. They too agree that the ASIC NIMBUS 19 IS NOT AS COMFORTABLE. I don't know what I am going to do when I need another pair of tennis shoes in the future. ****PLEASE, PLEASE GO BACK TO THE GEL FLUIDRIDE!!!

There were a load of interesting benefits going into this years model for me. I own a pair of Nimbus 18 and enjoyed them for the most part. The upper of that shoe was comfortable, the midsole support was really good and of course the gel cushioning was grand. My only issue with that model was the weight. With this years model though, Flyte Foam being included was a game changer. I could have all the comfort of the 18, and be lighter? Unfortunately, this came at a massive loss in design. For starters the Nimbus 19 are small, like a whole size smaller than advertized (I wear a 9 1/2 and I definitely need a 10 1/2 in this model). The 19's are also way more narrow than prior years, the sides of my feet are literally hanging over the edges. The heel feels a lot different than last year's model (my heel is not locking in comfortably like the prior year). The toebox is one of my biggest letdowns, as the roomy version of last years has been redesigned into a cramped unnatural shape for a foot. Instead of fitting like a glove; my foot feels like it is being squished, to the point of cutting off blood flow. Going up a full size I feel would not make a big enough difference as the amount of sole in the shoe brooks no space for any other room in the show Finally the biggest let down is simply this--the flyte foam and gel are no where near as comfortable as the prior editions. Whatever Asics did to create this foam to cut down on weight, made it almost intolerably dense. Each footfall is painful and does not cushion my fall. I also own a pair of Dynaflyte's and found them to be also very uncomfortable. Steer clear of this years models.

The 17 was the prefect shoe. Cushy, great for long runs. I am getting ready for my second half marathon. The 17 was PERFECT. The 18 was a change. Fit was half size small. The ride was NOT cushy at all. I was hoping the 19 was going back the 17. Nope...the 19 is not the Nimbus we grew to love. Too bad.

I've loved my GEL-Nimbus 17, they were perfect for long distance running, with my previous running shoes I've always had issues e.g. knee pain, or plantar pain.. So when I needed a new pair of running shoes I purchased a GEL-Nimbus 19 (2A). I have narrow feet, but these shoes are way too narrow and much shorter than the 17. I had to buy a half size bigger than I usually wear at running shoes. They just didn't feel comfortable they were not as cushioned as my previous GEL-Nimbus 17. So I ended up sending them back. I don't know why Asics has to change the different types every year!! Now I really don't know what to buy in order to receive a very comfortable pair that suits my feet and supports my knee and all my body during my long distance running.

I am very disappointed that ASICS are shrinking their shoes and that they continue to get smaller even though the sizes are the same. I love my ASICS but will trying some other brands because of how narrow and short ASICS are making their Nimbus running shoes.

I have been wearing ASICS Gel for years. Always fit perfectly. My fav sneakers. Ordered Gel-Nimbus 19, size 9. My toes are jammed into the toe box, they are so narrow and tight. No way I can work out in these shoes. Unfortunately the receipt was thrown away. Now I'm stuck with shoes that are unwearable. Definitely would not recommend. Also the insole is not as soft as my other Gels. Very disappointing.
