Bought these to replace an ASICS close predecessor that I'd worn out, and was very disappointed to find that though these are labeled "size 13 4E" just like the ones they're meant to replace, at the widest point of the forefoot these are approx. 5/16"–or nearly 8mm– narrower, and unwearable for me.
They also seemed more poorly constructed. As I tried different lacing configurations, in the vain hope that I might overcome the undersizing, I noticed that the eyelets looked about ready to fray or separate.

This is a shoe for beginners and moderate runners. Definitely feels lighter on the leg. Good shoes for the price.

Not like other ASICS shoe models, this model has rigid sole. I feel that it fight with my feet all the time when I run. It is okay for short distance running. The shoes create some extra fatigues for long distance run.

I've run in this shoe for years because my running coach recommended for my rolling out on the outside edge of my foot. Supination. I wrote the company twice and never got a reply either time. FIrst time i wrote to see if maybe I got a conterfit product from an online store and the fact that I was supinating. Second pair I bought direct from Asics and it was the exact show and same problem. Seems they built up the inner toe area causing me to roll out again. Looks like I'll be searching for a new shoe and a new shoe company. I've been running in Asics for 25 years. What a shame.

I went over on my ankle in July and as part of my recovery thought I'd move back to Asics from Saucony and was advised to move to Neutral versus cushioned. I feel the move is probably too much of a shift - the Asics just feel like the sole is too hard. My right knee has been killing me past couple of weeks and I sense this is down to the trainer. Back to the old Omnis and back to the drawing board.

I can't find these in 4e anymore which stinks, but now the last 2 pair i've had, the 17 & 18, my big toe has come out up front!! And I don't walk a mile a day or train!!

I liked the shoes a lot but they ran 1/2 size small and I have 4 other pairs of ASICS in the size I ordered so had to send them back ! I went out to a local store and bought instead .

Purchased these a few months ago...I couldn't be more disappointed by the fit. The shoe itself is much more narrow. I was suggested to purchase 1/2 size up to accommodate, which I did, giving me a "duck" foot. The stability isn't there anymore. I'm not sure why the change. My 19's...LOVE them.

I feel like all the features of the shoe are great, but they don't work for me. The colors are wonderful, they are very lightweight, the cushioning is there. They just are not working for me, as maybe I need more cushioning or less, or more neutrality. I have been having pain diring and after runs that I did not previously have, so I guess it is not a good fit for my running style.

I run 4 miles a day, 6 days a week = 24 miles a week. Not a lot. Right? The inner rim started fraying right away. I ALWAYS get a hole in the top of my right big toe box and they wear out SUPER FAST! I got 13 weeks out of them, 312 miles before they were totally worn out! But, honestly, I love them. I've been running in Asics for over 10 years. I can't bring myself to change. I love the big toe box and when they are new, they are THE BEST!

After very limited wear, I noticed that I now have 2 holes where my big toes are in the shoe. This has never happened with any of the cumulus shoes I've purchased in the past. The colors are amazing and the comfort is great - but I have to have shoes last me at least 6 months to a year not just 3 months!

They were great (and comfortable, too) when I bought them. But two weeks later, the fabric at the back of the shoe started to peel, and they were very uncomfortable with cotton socks. Luckily, the ASICS outlet at Potomac Mills in Woodbridge, VA let me exchange them for a pair of the GEL-Nimbus 19.

I've been wearing Cumulus for a while now and purchased these in the same size as my previous pairs and for some reason these were made smaller. Size up a 1/2 size from previous years.

Loved ASICS. Wore out my 17’s. As others have said, toe box is way too narrow even in wide. Do not buy if you have wide feet. Disappointed because nice shoe otherwise.

These are a nice light running shoe. However they run a half to full size smaller and they are narrower than the average EE. Neutral support. With your own orthotics, they can be a great shoe. The inserts that come with them are way too hard.

As others have noticed, something has changed with the Cumulus 19. I've been a loyal Asics runner for years. Not sure what they did but the toe box on my EE felt way smaller. I thought I could break them in but, 20 miles later, the top of my foot was bruised and sore. Traded these in for a pair of Hoka One One Bondi 5. Hope they work better.

I had to go up a size from 7.5 to 8 and it still doesn't feel right on the top of my foot. It feels like it is taking circulation away from my foot. I've always been a 7.5 in Asics and never had to change sizes. Also the sole is wearing out a lot faster than normal

It's a nice looking shoe, but...
I had read the reviews about the 19 being short, so I sized up a half size and went with the wide. It was still too short! So I'm returning them. Please bring back the Cumulus of old, like the 17. It was a great shoe!

I'm totally gutted. I've worn Asics shoes exclusively the entire time I've been running (so for more than 5 years) and have always found them comfortable and supportive. I bought my usual size in this shoe and after my first run, my big toenail was bruised. I thought perhaps they just needed breaking in, but after three more runs, my big toe was really painful and I could feel it repeatedly banging against the structure of the shoe at every step.
Of course, now I can't return the shoes because they've been used. I really wish I'd seen the advice about sizing up. I can't afford to buy another pair so I'm stuck with my old trainers for now. Good thing I didn't throw them out, though the reason I replaced them is that they needed it - a hole is developing and the tread is worn down.

I have worn Gel Cumulus for years. Did not like the 19 model. I felt it came up higher on my ankle bone than other models and the small toe box made it very uncomfortable. Hope they improve on the Cumulus 20 because this is my go to favorite Asics

After many years of running in Asics, this is the first time I have been disappointed in the cumulus line. I have had these for three weeks now and have around 100 miles on them. At the end of the run I have a small hot spot on top of the center of my foot. The heel cup seems more narrow than previous years. Probably the most annoying issue is the way the shoe impacts the ground. It sounds like I'm running flat footed. The shoes make the slap of cheap plastic hitting the ground. It seems there is very little curve to the sole. All in all I'm just not impressed with this model. Hopefully they will fix this shoe.

For my husband, he owned the 18 version but the 19 is cheaper and less comfortable. I think they made the entire shoe smaller, less material which does not feel great. Returning them.

I have worn Gel Cumulus forever but the 18 and19 styles have changed. The toe box is much narrower and the shoe in general runs small. Be sure to try it before you buy it. Kind of like the 14 or 15 (can't remember which) that was also a bad year. No longer my go to running shoe. Looks like I'll have to buy up all the 16 & 17 styles I can find.
