I bought these 8 months or so ago. They are so uncomfortable! I loved my Kanyo, these, not so much.

I have been an ASICS fan for a long time. However, my latest pair had to be sent back. The left shoe was 1/2" longer than the right shoe. Hopefully a reorder will bring me two shoes the same length. If not, I will probably try something other than the GEL-Kayano 24. I would recommend ASICS in general, but must wait to see if my reorder addresses the length problem before I recommend this particular shoe.

I've worn ASICS for years. Ever since my podiatrist recommended them to me after foot surgery. I've bought 30 plus pairs just for myself ( not to mention for my children as well) over the years. Well, i'm Sorry to say this current pair is terrible. It seems as though they've taken cost cutting measures just a little to far. These shoes are So marrow in the toe box I don't think I'll be able to wear them. Even the shoelaces are cheap. Major disappointment

These get a 1-star for comfort because they were SO NARROW. I ordered a women's wide width and it fits like a regular width. Back they go! (The style is whatever. They're sneakers, not a fashion statement.) However they look very sturdy and like they would provide good support to heels and arches. I may order a men's wide as a replacement.
I'd also recommend:

Just am returning this and the same in black. fit is too loose for my narrow foot and not enough gel. Had Kayano 20's and wish I had them again.

I have worn Gel Kayano for years. This model seems narrower and shorter than the others. I recommend ASICS on a daily basis, but this shoe was not a good fit.

I bought these based on the product description that said they were intended for both neutral and overpronated running styles. I am a neutral runner and find these shoes very uncomfortable. I feel like I am running on a slanted surface and the arch digs into my foot. The product description should be clear that these shoes are meant for overpronated runners only.

I have been a fan of ASICS for years. I even recommend them to anyone who needs real running shoes so of course, I bought these as I needed an update from the 21's and I was beyond upset with these new shoes. No matter how tight I tie my laces, they always feel loose-fitting, foot slides forward, and it's even causing me pain in the bottom of my feet. So sad because they are so expensive so I was expecting a great shoe. Can't even return them because I wore them enough times, thinking it would "break them in". Save your money.

I have always liked ASICS but I am very disappointed in this shoe as the toe area is too small, wish the shoe design would go back to a wider toe. ?? My toes hurt so bad after a couple of hours wearing these I have to take them off.....I would suggest to anyone ordering this shoe to go a half size larger. I am very dissatisfied as I spent $135 on them and cannot wear them.

I didn't want to believe the reviews, but unfortunately they are true. What has Asics done to their shoes? No arch support, terrible stretchy no support fabric on the top shoe. Returned. I've worn a size 8 in Asics for 20 years. This pair felt too long and very narrow. I've tried several different styles of this "new" Asics at this point, and all have been disappointing, and giving up on this brand. Non-existent arch support is my major complaint. Quite disappointing since ASICS have been my 'go to' for the past 20 years for running and walking. I will be searching for a new brand.

Really wanted to keep these. Its hard to find shoes that arent crazy colors however these unfortunately did not work for me. My orthotic sat too high and wide for this shoe. Im on the hunt again!

My first Asics were the 22. I found them by accident and they were amazing. Walked all over an amusement park on day 1 with no problems. Then did my daily running in them for months. The 23 & 24 are not as comfortable for me. I actually went back to the 22 for my amusement park trip last weekend. I can’t run a mile in the 24- I have to get the shoes off because my feet hurt. If someone wants them (size 10) let me know.

Unfortunately after about a month of wearing these to bootcamp the treads at the bottom started to peel off, I’ve been wearing Asics for over 10 years and have never had this happen

Bought this shoe instead of the Nimbus that I usually run in because the latest Nimbus shoe purchase had no cushioning or as much comfort.
The padding is minimal and the arch support is lacking in this shoe.

I returned these shoes. I have always loved the gel kayanos, but since the style changed a couple years ago they fit very differently. The toe box is more narrow.

These were really comfy at first. I did a HIIT workout and everything was fine. Then I did a 3.5 mile walk and got a blister on the inside of my heel. Sending these back for sure.

The toe box was much too narrow, and I even tried the wide ones even though I normally wear regular width. I love ASICS and have worn them for years. I always order a 1/2 size up, but even when doing this- my toes went numb. So uncomfortable

After 10 years of wearing the ASICS-Gel Kayano, I was really bummed that, in this version, they cheapened the feel and materials to the point where it is a sub-par sneaker. I have bought this sneaker religiously, year after year, and this year the padding around the ankle was greatly reduced and just running up and down my staircase I felt the sneaker chafe in a way that they never had before. So disappointed that I now need to start from the beginning to find another brand that fits the way the Gel-Kayano used to.

I should've listened to all of the people that wrote a review saying that these are truly wide width, because they DEFINITELY are not! My feet hurt something terrible just wearing them to work. I can't imagine trying to workout in them. It hurts so bad I don't even wear them. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because they are cute and a great color. I don't usually find wide widths that I like the design/color of. I would not recommend these and wish I would've tried them on sooner so I could've returned Ed.

These felt tight out of the box. I couldn't even feel any arch support. My toes were numb within 20 minutes of having them on and just walking around the house. Love the style and color. They would have been comfy had they been half size bigger. I'm going to exchange and see if they feel better.

Not great if you have even a mild bunion. What drew me was that these address over-pronation. Though I saw many reviews about narrow toe box, as a [former, now done with] ASICS wearer, I thought I would give these a shot. People were right. I found the toe box narrow even when I went up half size to 9.5. My feet were very unhappy.
A helpful Zappos customer rep recommended I try Brooks, a brand I had never tried (or frankly even heard of).
I ordered the Brooks Adrenaline 18, that also addresses over-probation. 9.5 gives me lots of room, great arch support and offers more cushioning. Now for the road-testing.

This was my 4th generation of Kayano. I have loved all previous pairs, generation 21-23, so I expected the same out of these. I was terribly wrong. I don’t know what ASICS has changed but these shoes are terrible. They hurt my feet within 2 hours. I tried to give them a chance for a week but I couldn’t take it. I returned them. I won’t buy another pair of Kayanos until they change them back to the 21-23.
