I’ve been wearing Gel Kayanos for several years. The GK 20 was the best version they made. The 18, 19 and 21’s were also very good. Since the 22 though, the Kayano has gone downhill IMHO. The Sizing is off, I now have to wear a full size larger rather than a half size larger. When I bought my first pair of GK 20’s I’d been having really bad heel pain for a few months but it totally disappeared as soon as I popped them on. Since then, I’ve had 4 pair of the 20’s and if I’d have known that this was going to be the apex of this model, I have stocked up on them. The 22’s were okay. I still have a pair but the 23’s were terrible. No support and the shoes ran 1-1.5 sizes short. I passed. Tried a pair of the 24’s last year. They’re okay. I have narrow feet and with my orthotic they’re kind of tight. Usually even narrows are too wide on my with my inserts. The cushioning is okay and they’re certainly better than the 23’s. The toe bed isn’t short but it’s a little narrow. It’s really disappointing. I’ve opted for the GTS Adrenalines until the 25’s come out. Also ASICS, $160 for a pair of running shoes that wears out in a few months is ridiculous. For that price my shoes should be pretty perfect. Ordering from Zappos is a snap though. So quick and lots of customer support.

This pair of asics didn't feel as comfortable as my former asics. I need lots of cushioning. I will not order this one again.

I wanted to like this shoe but it was too narrow. I ordered it in a wide and it still felt too narrow. I have slightly wide feet but rarely have to order a wide. I love ASICS but this shoe wasn’t for me.

Before purchasing Asics, go to their website and make sure you order the right sneaker for your feet. The toe box on these is sneakers is quite narrow and I have a medium width. I could feel the outer edge of the insole while running which is hugely uncomfortable. Loved the look, but my feet were in pain and sore after each run for 2 days.

I bought this shoe as a replacement for the long lost Asics 2170 line. So much less arch support. This is not an equivalent shoe. Great color and style but don't think it's a good replacement for the stability shoe that was 2170.

runs small! you might want to order at least a half-size up from what you usually order from asics (which for me at least is already a half-size larger than other shoes.)

These are more narrow than the last version. Not enough room in the toe box and the tongue rubs against my foot. Had to return and am trying another brand.

They didn’t feel very wide to me. Also they made my plantar fasciitis worse.

Returning this item. We purchased a wide and these are shockingly narrow for a shoe purporting to be wide. Very disappointed.

I wanted to love this shoe, but there is VERY little cushioning inside. It runs narrow, which is great for me... but it is almost like walking barefoot. It might work if you add a cushioned, arch-support insole.

I really liked these. Comfortable, nice looking. But unfortunately they squeak a lot when I walk in them.

Sending these back because there was no arch support. They fit true to size and look fine. I also ordered the Asics GT-1000 6 and they have arch support and look great so I’m keeping those.

This pair runs true to the regular sneaker size. So, I am normally a size 9, in most sneaker brands, I am a 9.5. This pair of Asics runs true to the sneaker sizing. More narrow, than older shoes. I am not sure about performance, but does not appear to have the layers of various rubber and gel outer soles as older models. For this reason, I am skeptical of keeping this pair.

This is a comfortable shoe however the new design completely takes away the support on the back of your heel so no matter how tight you tie the laces when you walk your heel slides up.. bring back the Gel-Kayano 22
