A bit loose in straps, and heel is BROWN not BLACK. The color matters to me; I was looking for a taupe shoe to wear with a black dress in summer, and was surprised to see these in person and see that the heel/bottom sole were dark brown.

I really wanted to love these, such a cool design, but because the strap that goes behind your foot is only connected to the the part coming from the front of the shoe, not down to somewhere above the heel, they felt really loose and floppy, even for a sandal, no matter how tight you make the strap. It was too bad, but returned them because of the lack of a secure fit - I have twisted ankles that way!

These shoes just were not right for me. In my usual size they were not long enough and my toes hung over the end, I sized up and then nothing was tight enough and they felt very sloppy and unsecure. Plus the straps irritated my bunion. I ended up buying the SAS Suntimer in a size bigger than I usually wear and they feel secure and comfortable.

I like the footbed and low height of the sandals, but I'm just not sure I like the tabs holding up the straps.

I searched all summer for cute red sandals (with heels) that wouldn't rekindle my history with plantar fasciitis. The moderate arch support seems ok; but the fit is a swing and a miss. So disappointed! I'm typically an 8 medium; my feet and ankles are normal-width. I've tried these in an 8M, 8N and 7 1/2 M. All are too wide, and my foot slips out the front. I'm now considering a 7 1//2 N. If you have narrow feet, these will not work for you; if your feet are medium width, go down in both size & width. Thanks Zappos for your excellent customer service!

Very nice looking shoe. The insole was very cushion-y and seemed wide and high. Too cushion-y for my tendency to roll my foot inward. I guess I need a bit more support

I would not ever normally set foot in the SAS store, but once upon a time, I ended up with a store credit there. I had planned to give it away to an appropriate old lady who wore SAS shoes. But the store manager encouraged me to look around. I do believe that most accessories should be red, and I was missing red sandals from my line up this year. So I bought these. Negatives: For the price, the straps should be stitched along the edges. In that respect, they do not look like they are worth the money. That detail drives me nuts. Pros: They are extremely comfortable right out of the box. The foot bed is soft. Where the leather straps rubbed my little toes the first time or two I wore them, the leather quickly adjusted to the shape of my foot and stopped rubbing, which is what real leather does. I was worried that the narrow heel – by my standards – would lack stability but I haven't had any problems with it. I have gotten compliments on the shoes. They may be a touch more feminine or dressy than my every day schlubwear but they still go with everything and look good with everything. SAS offers another red that is patent leather and has stitched sides so I would have loved to have had the opportunity to try those on. Not available in my size at the moment, of course. I think if you were looking for a first pair of SAS shoes for the non-retired set, these are a great place to start. Local SAS stores are franchises but you could certainly go in to try the shoes on. I had to buy them locally due to the store credit and that was helpful because the manager fit my foot and I was a smaller size then I tend to wear and they were on sale. My experience with the shoes is that if you go half a size too big, your foot will slide forward and there will be a lot of excess room in the back and you will look like a little kid trying on your mother's heels.

These are fairly comfortable, but not cute. The heel is just right, and they feel sturdy, and the straps keep them on. But they just look kinda dowdy.

I ordered my usual 8.5 narrow but I will be returning the shoe because the front of the shoe was so wide that my feet slipped forward off the front of the shoe. I've had good luck with SAS in the past but there was no way to adjust the shoe so I will have to return them.

Had high hopes for this style sandal from SAS, especially when other reviews said it covered their bunion. But, I did not find this to be the case. The style of strapping actually accentuated my bunion. The shoe was not as comfortable as other SAS shoes that I have owned. I found the heal made walking a little wobbly. Unfortunately, I had to return.. looked great in my hand, but not on me feet.

This shoe is lovely, has great support (especially for a sandal), and fits perfectly except for one thing: the two parts of the buckle strap will not even meet across my foot, let alone buckle. Very disappointing.

Lovely but uncomfortable. The leather is soft and supple, but there's a weird outward slant to the sole, bad for a high arch foot. Really wanted to keep, had to send back.
