Got them and went for a walk with the dog. Pretty comfortable but had to change inserts for one that had more arch support. Shoes seem able to keep my feet comfortable at work for prolonged periods of standing. The only complaint is the return policy. How would someone know if shoes will fit without being to walk around in them in the real world? Wearing them in house just doesn't do it. Other than that seem to be good so far.

I was in a shoe store and overheard a customer talking to a salesperson, "These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever owned!" He was talking about an older pair of the Men's Journey Mesh shoes and in the process of purchasing a new pair. So, I asked the salesperson if I could try them on. OMG, I'm 58 years old and I've never had an "experience" with a shoe. I left them on my feet, asked the salesperson the whereabouts of a garbage can for the old shoes I was wearing, paid (happily), and skipped out of the store. These shoes are amazingly comfortable and supportive. Hard to find, but even harder to find when you have a wide foot like mine. I rarely write product reviews but felt compelled to write this one. Oh yeah, made in America too!

I have been wearing grey Journey mesh shoes for over 4 years for their comfort. I have purchase the Red / Black now for its stand-out style. I added the Men's Step Plus for additional shock adsorption and arch support because I walk a lot and in my late 70's. This makes a comfortable shoe even more comfortable. The shoes come with back shoestrings and a backup pair in red. My wife and I both like the new zippy color of the Red / Black.

I now own three pairs of Men's Journey Mesh Gray shoes, each bought in successive years. They are so comfortable that I will never again wear another shoe. They hold up extremely well, so well, in fact, that I have written the purchase year with a Sharpie on the tongues so that I can tell them apart. My only problem has been with the middle pair - the laces have "sawn" through the plastic eyes of the top lace holes, and one of the lace hooks has torn loose. In spite of this one problem, these are the best made and most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. (I also have a pair of Men's Journey Black and a pair of Men's Time Out.)

I had foot surgery over a year now. I have a four pairs of shoes that I have bought and can not wear, and many more that I tried on. I now have a pair of these and I am happy to say they are the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. I was not doing some of the things I enjoy because the shoes I had were not comfortable and would hurt my feet after wearing them for awhile. I hope you continue to make this model. I have owned five pairs of Journey Mesh Lace Up Sneakers. I have a narrow foot and the slim size works for me. I replace them once per year due to the walking mileage I put on them. They have always been comfortable from new to old. However, the stitching on the toe leather broke and unraveled on both shoes of my last pair. SAS would not work with me because I did not buy them directly from SAS. I did purchase my new pair directly from SAS and hope they will stand behind the shoe if I have the same problem.

Only reason rating isn't 5 stars is the price a little high. But given the comfort and quality these shoes are probably worth it.

Thank you for your email. I have a couple of questions. 1. Why can I never find a coupon code? Or a discount code? 2. I appreciate the fact you have narrow wide shoes in size 13.5 but not in all styles...will that change? Thank you Jack

After exchanging a narrow width for a slim one, I am still unsure about the fit. Overall the shoe feels a little big for me although I have wore a size 12 in every shoe I have ever worn. Also, arch support seems too far back and not quite prominent enough for my foot. So, I am now experimenting with inserts to fill the shoe was well as address the arch support issue. I may have to revert to custom orthotics if over-the counter-options don't work. I guess I'll have to continue investing more money into these shoes to find an acceptable comfort level. I'm in too deep already. Yikes!

Due to disability I have an ankle brace and use a cane.SAS shoes are the best for my needs. Unfortunately like many items price has inflated to point of concern.
