I'm a student at the hospital on my feet all day (8 hrs). My feet don't hurt when I get home. High quality materials and build. Most tennis shoes, the white spongey part on the sides loose their color and turn yellow. These are still whit because the material is white, not painted white. I clean my shoes periodically and use the white cream that SAS sells to keep them maintained.

I am a senior citizen with developing foot problems. This product in black provides everything I need in an everyday shoe. It also provides adequate room for a support brace that I wear for an arc problem on my right foot.

Most comfortable shoes I have ever worn! only two minor things I had to make adjustments on, the shoe strings are to long, and the tongue kept sliding to one side, needle and thread to sew it in place fixed the problem, for what they cost they should address this issue.

I've had a pair of these shoes for about 6 years (I think when they first came out). For almost 5 years I wore them almost every day through every type of weather and job. They were used in rain, snow (slick though), through some mud, doggy landmines, cutting grass, fixing cars and much more. They've been scuffed and scraped from concrete, kicking heavy items, carrying heavy loads, walked in for miles, and have seen all parts of a shoe's worse nightmare. They are ugly. Some of the white came off of the toe area from kicking rocks and tires, etc. In that same area, one shoe has a hole from something piercing the shoe at some point and growing a tad. Some of the threading on one side of a shoe came loose and that part of the leather is hanging off. Tread is worn down enough that they had to become relegated to dirty work only. All that said, they are my favorite pair of shoes. They are still very comfortable. If they weren't so darned ugly and tread being worn down, I'd wear them every day because they've only lost their glamour but not all of their function. I have a pair of Nikes only worn for a month and they look worse than the SAS shoes after 5 years of torment. Even the tread came off/unglue from the bottom of those shoes. I can't believe it. I've worn other shoes to appease my wife (really, she has more taste than me) because she says I shouldn't wear the SAS shoes anymore to work (office job now). She's probably right, but all other shoes are never as comfortable as these Journeys were on Day 1. SAS Shoes for life for me. I'm finally going to get another pair now that there is an online store! YAY!

I have had at least three generations of the SAS Journeys across white and black for a total of at least seven pairs. The first generation felt the best. I had three or four of the original model. Those were the best walking shoes I have ever had. Then they narrowed the heel. They made more tweaks the next generation. I could compare each new pair with the prior pair. Maybe the new models fit some better, but not me. The last model was still very good, but not exceptional. I try to buy shoes made in the USA like SAS.

This is my fourth pair. Still wish I could get them in a A width. Still toomuch room in heal area. This pair seems more stiff and uncomfortable. They make great shoes. I just have odd feet.
