I work on concete for 9 hours 5 days a week and these are the best shoes for comfort, durability and safety (water & oil). I have planters fasciitis and these shoes stop the pain. For optimum support, I recommend replacing them after a year of constant use on concrete floors 40 hr/52 wks. I wash Package Cars for UPS on smooth concete and have never slipped from walking in soap & oil water from the cars.

The leather on these shoes is definitely of high quality, there's no denying that. As far as comfort, it does not offer the ultimate comfort that I was hoping for. I work as a waiter and bartender so I'm on my feet 10-12hrs a day and for the price of these shoes, I'm disappointed. The toe box is not as wide and roomy as described and after 6 hrs of wear, I start to experience some pain. The shoe feels solid but after a short time you start to feel the impact.

These shoes are nice looking and comfortable. The provided foam insoles are the best I've ever encountered, practically able to replace my expensive custom orthotics. However, the tight hexagonal grid design of the sole collects many bits of debris from outdoors, which it can then deposit in the house. The soles are also difficult to clean, with little bits of yard debris stuck in grid that need to be dug out.

Unusually, it was a bit large/long for me. I'm putting in a tongue pad to keep it from shifting forward to back. It is not a very stylish shoe, but is comfortable and solid. I have a very wide foot (the shoes of triple e is the marine anthem that describes my feet.). I appreciate the leather uppers and the fact that they are made in the US.

I have a very narrow foot. In old sizes. would be listed as a "B". I took a chance and bought these online for work hoping they would fit. Fits like a glove.

I am sure the shoe is good, but it didn't fit. The size was too small & I had to return it. The last shoe I got from SAS was the same size. So I am surprised.

I like this sole because I don't slip & fall while wearing them in Washington State where it is wet & slippery. I get a good firm footing with these shoes. These are good soles. I HATE having to wear black shoes everyday. Please make these shoes in brown or whatever. Black shoes 365 days a year sucks. But the shoes are good. I have tried the SAS shoes with suicide soles. The ones when they wear down to 50% smooth & here in the Pacific Northwest we slip and fall ALL the time while wearing them. I have seriously injured myself while wearing the Suicide Soles. You must stop selling the suicide soles in the Pacific NW. It's too wet & slippery for the Suicide Soles, they are dangerous. The Pacific Northwest is NOT California nor Texas.

For work these are the most comfortable shoe around. The non slip soles work well, I do work on boats and docks where it is slippery. Sometimes on ice & snow on the boats. My only, serious complaint is the color selection IT TOTALLY SUCKS

Function over looks. That is how I roll with footwear. I purchased this with the idea of having a good comfortable shoe. This was even more unpleasing to look at than on the website. It looks really bad. Bad enough for me to return it. It was not that comfortable either.

Great fit and comfort. The non-slip sole is great for sure footing on smooth concrete when wet. However the non-slip rubber portion began to separate on both shoes after 4 months of daily wear by a ?200lb person. Luckily a SAS shoe store locally replaced them for me after some convincing (I bought them there, not at Zappos). They do not technically have a warranty besides 30 days. Hoping the second pair lasts for years like previous SAS shoes usually did.

Too wide for my foot. And heavier, like a trail or trek shoe. Stiff too. but nice that it was waterproofed.

Don't buy these shoes unless you don't mind picking up many bits of debris from your floors. The tight traction sole pattern with countless little grooves holds an incredible amount of crud from outdoors. Then it gets deposited all over both carpeted and hardwood floors. It's also very difficult to scrub the junk out of those little grooves. It's highly annoying. I have to remember to wear them only around the house, not outdoors. The shoes look good and are comfortable, but, boy, am I tired of cleaning up after them.

How stupid of me that I thought it might be made in USA. It just doesn't fit well and feels like a board for a sole. I will just send them back. Thanks

These shoes look nice and appear to be great, EXCEPT where the tongue is stitches to the top of the shoe there is a sharp edge of hard leather that rubs against the top of my foot, and if worn for more than a short time, causes a blister on the top of my foot.. I took these shoes to a shoe repair shop and he confirmed there was a hard leather edge at the bottom of the tongue. He said he would have to remove the tongue and re-stitch the tongue back. The cost would be for the time it took, and could be as much or more than half the price I paid for the shoes, and the tongue would no longer be attached at the side. I contacted S A S and they wanted me to send a picture of the hard edge. There is no way to get a picture inside the shoes. As this was all that was acceptable to S A S, in reality I am stuck with shoes I can only ware very seldom and for less than a hour. I am diabetic and excellent fitting shoes are vital. I ware only the best shoes, S A S shoes. are ones I depend on. When I pay close to two hundred dollars for a pair of shoes I expect smooth fitting shoes that have no rough edges. These shoes miss that mark I must have to protect my feet. Never having a pair of S A S shoes problems I assumed these shoes would be that same as the S A S shoes I have been accustomed to. I am disappointed. I contacted the shoe store I bought these shoes at and they said to contact S A S, they could do nothing. I have learned a lesson, inspect every inch of S A S shoes I buy from now on. I have been wearing S A S shoes about 20 years, and love them! This is the first pair of shoes I have ever had an problem with. I will continue to buy S A S shoes..
