I am an old lady with occasional swelling in one of my feet. The design of these shoes makes them very comfortable even when that problem flares up, in that there is no stitching across the shoes at the base of the shoestrings and the leather is soft. These are my go-to shoes for comfort, and they are really pretty.

I have to work around Plantar Fasciitis with orthotics. But when I went to insert the supports I found a lot of padding already in the heel of the shoes and decided to give it a try with out added padding. What a surprise as no extra support or padding was needed after several days of walking. Especially pleasing was the lace up system. One suggestion would be to increase the tread on the soles as they are a bit slippery on a damp surface. I am perfectly willing to pay a bit more for such well made shoes that are an all American product.

I absolutely love these shoes!!!! They are a little too wide. I should have ordered a AAA instead of a double A. Too late to exchange them as I have worn them. I still love them!

Beautiful shoes! Lovely quality leather, my second pair of SAS shoes, my Viva are still in great shape after 10 years! I bought the leather as it is easier for me to polish! I love that they are made in Texas, and Zappos has the BEST customer service, so I only purchase my shoes from them! Give your feet a vacation.....treat them to SAS!

I loved this shoe. I ordered it is the WW but alas it is a bit too tight. I really need the WWW and Zappos doesnt have it. I dont know if they make a WWW in this style. I got one one of the tour mesh shoes in a WWW and it is fabulous. I recommend the SAS brand. Thanks Zappos for the many orders and returns to get just the right fit. Also, your customer service is great.

Two years ago I tore a tendon in my left foot. Since then I have been able to wear nothing except sneakers (New Balance 990v4) until I found these shoes. I have overpronation in my left foot, and these shoes have wonderful arch supports. Although they are far from "dressy", they don't look like real sneakers and I can usually wear them where sneakers aren't allowed. What a relief! I especially want to thank Zappos for putting up with me as I tried to find the correct size. It took three tries, with shoes going back and forth. Now I'm tempted to buy them in every color available. Maybe I'll even try another SAS style. Zappos, thank you!!!

With narrow feet it's hard to find a good fit. These shoes are great. I need the extra arch support and these are great. I've always had good luck with SAS. Glad you added them to your online shoes????

The size was perfect. Nice and wide. I got the wide wide. At first I thought they might be a little snug, but I had the shoe laces too tight. The more you wear them the more comfortable they get and they are very well made and excellent quality. You get what you pay for. I have a black pair and a brown pair. They are both nubuc and the black is more of a dark grey or charcoal, but it still goes well with everything.

Love this comfy shoe so much that I'm buying a 2nd pair.Size 10 AAA fits absolutely true to size.Note - the online colors are not accurate. Charcoal nubuck is actually a beautiful dusty, very deep blue. The brown nubuck looks like whiskey online. It's really like a cup of hot chocolate.

I found the SAS Easy-Walk shoes to be exactly what I wanted, a well fitting, comfortable shoe with good arch support and side support. While being a practical shoe, the style seems so much less "heavy" than many walking shoes, and I'm quite happy with their look. I like the cord laces - I don't have to keep untwisting them. One quirk, the laces are a bit too long, perhaps because I wear a narrow width, but I have to tie a double bow. Small inconvenience for great look and fit.

Nice oxford type of shoe. I wear an 8 1/2 double wide and this shoe fit perfectly. I also have custom orthotics - no problem. It fits well in the shoe and my foot does not feel cramped. Nice leather, quality shoe.

These shoes are heaven to wear! I am 71 years old and work three evenings a week for eight hours per night. I am on my feet the whole time and have been having knee pain! These shoes are the answer to that. Take care of yourself. I highly recommend these shoes. You will think you are walking on clouds.

OMG these shoes are miraculous. I was almost limping in pain due to various foot problems. I have thinnish flat feet that are horrid to fit. Ortho MD sent me to have sole "inserts" which felt like walking on rocks. Went to foot physical therapist who stated these were the "perfect" shoes. No further foot problems and am on my feet at work constantly and hike on weekends. So thankful.

I bought this after a major back surgery because I needed an excellent pair of shoes. I’m a teacher; on my feet all day. These are very comfortable. I am able to slip them on because I cannot bend easily due to my spinal fusion. They make me about an inch taller, too. Hey are. Or the most stylish, but they’re basic, classy shoes.

Looking for a travel shoe that isn't an athletic shoe. I walk A LOT! The "Nero" is more like a very dark gray, which I like. Not quite as stark on my light complexion, goes with more. The look is not bad! I was pleasantly surprised. Fit: I typically fit a 10, 10.5 or 11, and need good arch. I ordered the 10.5 Medium, and the 11 Narrow, but what I really wanted was out of stock: the 10.5 Narrow. The 11 was too long. I thought the 10.5 medium might work, but the leather is pretty thick, and where the shoe bends at the ball of the foot (while walking), the right shoe bent right at the wrong place and was painful. The left shoe was fine. Weird! So I ordered another pair and it was definitely better. I have a slightly narrow foot, usually wear mediums pretty well, however these seem a little more roomy than I'd like. Arch support: the sole and sock liner are very cushy and supportive, but the arch isn't as high as I'd like. It's removable so not a deal breaker for me. Overall a winner for what I wanted: black, not athletic shoe but felt as good as one.

I wear these shoes every day, all day. Comfortable from day one, no need to break them in. Keep them polished with a good shoe cream. High polish, very attractive.

I use over-the-counter shoe inserts from my podiatrist and they easily fit in this shoe. I purchased my first pair at a SAS store and was amazed that they were more comfortable than my support New Balance shoes. I came to Zappos to buy another pair in a different color. I purchased the brown, which on the screen look like a nice chestnut color. Nope. They are brown. I call it baby-poop brown. They are super comfortable, so keeping them.
