I have two pair of these shoes and have been wearing them every other day for the past eighteen years. If the heels weren't worn down they would still be comfortable. As we get older (I'm 87) we loose the fat layer under the skin. I've several pair of expensive leather soled shoes I can't wear because the foot pain is unbearable. So, I just bought a new pair and they're just as comfortable as the old ones. They're the only shoes I can wear in comfort.

I tried these SAS shoes after New Balance ruined the 928-walking shoe by making them ridiculously narrow, short, and weird- fitting. It’s definitely one of the best wardrobe moves I’ve made in a long time. In an industry that seems to have somewhat lost its mind when it comes to sizing, these not only fit true-to-size, but they are well made with a wide, naturally-fitting toe box, soft, quality leather, and great support. I’ll continue to buy them as long as SAS is true to their vision of making quality shoes.
And kudos to Zappos who seems to have set the standard in customer service. I live four hours from a place that has a decent selection of wide shoes, and Zappos’ free shipping and return policy has enabled me to find the perfect-fitting shoe from a very good company. I Will continue to buy from them as well.

I liked these shoes but the soles are smooth and have very little grip. I would be hesitant to wear them outdoors in our Midwest winters because they would be like skis on snow. They even slid around on carpet in my house. The style and fit were good--I just felt the slick sole would not provide good traction and stability for someone my age.

I am a 12B and use orthotics, so I usually have great difficulty in finding a casual shoe that is tight, flexible, and will hold the orthotic without my stepping out of it. After many unsuccessful experiments with other shoes, I discovered these shoes from SAS. They fit perfectly, with no break-in period. The style is not terrific, but I find it works well both with jeans and business casual. A small added bonus is the design of the lacing system. With a narrow foot, I need to tighten the shoe, and these shoes have a lacing system in which just a pull on the laces will tighten all the eyelets, not just the ones near the top. The leather is clearly a much higher quality than other casual shoes, yet it does not appear too formal. Bravo SAS!

The sole has no real heel, and no actual tread, just the tiniest bit of texture that will quickly wear smooth. The leather upper is very soft, and has actual holes in it around the instep (visible in only one photo above). SAS shoes feel high quality, but the design is truly weird.

My husband has a lot of issues with his feet. SAS shoes work well for him. He said these were comfortable and they look nice with his work pants.

Great fit and width for size 15W. Removable insole allows me to insert my orthotics. Metal eyelets make 'one pull' tightening of laces. Have worn them for up to 14 hour days and find them most comfortable. Had to try 6 other brands at Zappo's to get this comfortable fit in a shoe. Look forward to more purchases of SAS brand in my size. Soles/insoles hold up nicely to my 250# weight.

I am not rich and these are WAY above my shoe budget, but my boss recommended them to me and swore by them, to solve my plantar fasciitis heel pain that rehab and gel soles in my less expensive shoes would not solve. I am lucky to live near an SAS outlet store and went in for a fitting. They dialed me in to a perfect fit. I have bought several pairs over many, many years, mostly the 'Bout Times, but I do love my sneakers too! I have turned my family and friends and even strangers I see with foot pain on to them. MOST COMFORTABLE SHOE, ever!

The shoe looked alright, albeit heavy. Over the decades we are more used to wearing lighter shoes. I returned it because of the weight. Casual shoes. Looks good on the foot. Great leather! I just can't handle heavy shoes and that is a relative stance. I am mostly selecting my shoes by weight and comfort.

The shoe is very comfortable and easy to wear.
I think a little better bottom grip is needed. Like deeper grooves.

This is my 3rd pair. I abused the last pair by wearing them in the work shop and while gardening. However, they lasted 3 years. I am a man with a narrow foot, and I love that SAS makes shoes that fit me.

My first pair of SAS. Attractive and comfortable to wear. Really like lacing with easy adjustment and secure tie. Sole seems more flexible than my usual shoe but also seems adequately supportive. Was searching for shoe for casual & dress and these appears to meet both. Happy.

I have a narrow foot, so all my adult life buying shoes has been a challenge. SAS continues to carry a fair selection of shoes in a Slim, which for me feels like an A. This shoe is good quality, stylish in a conservative way and is quite comfortable. This shoe fits perfectly for me with my narrow feet.

The SAS Bout Time shoe fits me perfectly. I have a wide foot and they are great. I have been buying the SAS Bout Time shoes for more than 15 years in Brown, Black, and Cordavan and love them. I plan to buy many more SA Bout Time shoes. LB

I’ve only worn them several times so my experience is limited. They fit, are reasonable attractive and are quite comfortable. I’m surprised how today’s new shoe material are so light weight. The workmanship Is perfect.

Great pair of shoes. I wear a size 13B so it's hard to find shoes that fit. The SAS fit so well I bought another pair. They look great with jeans or casual pants. Also, Zappos is a great company to do business with. I love the free shipping and returns.

These shoes are extremely comfortable, much like my SAS Time Out. They appear to be slightly wider (in size 13 W) than expected. Materials and workmanship are quite nice. Very pleased with this purchase - They make my flat feet happy!

I have been wearing this model of SAS shoe almost every day for about 5 years. I am VERY hard to fit, but these have been very comfortable. After having the soles replaced 4 times, it was obviously time to get another pair. But they are very hard to find. Zappos had them in my size. They fit perfectly and they are wonderfully comfortable. I am seriously considering buying another pair, in brown.

I have worn the same style/model for at least 4 pair now, and I bet between one and two years out of each pair. They are a very well made, comfortable shoe that gives me what I need. What more could I ask for?

My husband has been wearing this exact style for at least 10 years. He buys a new pair every few years and swears by them, literally will not wear anything else. We were just about to buy another pair and were on the company's website but then found out that Zappos is now carrying them. I love the free shipping and their customer service. SAS shoes really cannot be beat as far as comfort. Yes they are expensive, but both me and my husband think more than worth it.

You can't beat SAS for problem feet. No break-in required. Had to exchange for a half size larger. But, exchanges are a piece of cake with Zappos.

Leather uppers very soft and flexible. The color cordovan was strange - kind of purple. Maybe only for my one sample, but the left shoe was wider in the ball area than the right shoe.

A VERY GOOD AND COMFORTABLE SHOE. iT HOLDS UP. Only something with the insole and makes my foot abrasive ( little) I put a comfort pad inside and it takes care of the problem.
