My wife teases me when I wear these and asks me if I’m leaving for my job at McDonalds, lol. Well no they are not great looking but wow, these are so true to size and comfortable for standing and walking. I have a narrow heel and I found a perfect size in this model!

I do a lot of walking on concrete floors. The shoes are very comfortable. With other shoes when I got home couldn't wait to take them off--not these.

I have been wearing SAS Time Out for 12 years plus. These shoes are extremely comfortable. It is a very short break-in period. I am a tough fit. My feet measure a size 8 with a 6E width and I have a high instep. To make matters worse I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid arthritis in 1995 that affects my ankles and feet more than anywhere else. I later was diagnosed with diabetes in 2007. I also suffer neuropathy causing numbness and pain in my left foot. As you can see today at 62 years of age I have foot issues. The leather on these shoes become very soft in short order. This soft leather is very durable. I do not know how they do it but I still have the first pair of these shoes I ever bought. There are no tears. The sole on these shoes are also very durable and non slip. I will be wearing SAS Time Out as long as SAS makes them.
I'd also recommend:
I've tried other brands. It seems like the triple wide SAS fits best. I will not change brands.

My Hubby loves this style shoe (He also has one in Gray, this one is Black). It is versatile since he can wear it to church, also day to day activities. I have converted him from all other shoes to SAS! The padding and comfort are beyond compare. He is a True Believer now. My wife always thinks that this shoe is ugly, but I don't care because they normally fit well and are very comfortable, except for what I explain below. I have purchased this same shoe many times over the years from you and from my local shoe store. Last time I purchased a 13 narrow, which ended up being to wide, but I wore them anyway. This time I purchased a 12 1/2 narrow and it fits my left foot fine, but is still to wide in the heal. I have recently developed nephropathy in my feet and legs, so it is important to not get a blister. I may have to order a narrow size 12 and wear it on the right foot and the 12 1/2 narrow that I just ordered on my left. This doubles the cost of my shoes, but it is better then having me foot rot off for getting a sore. Any suggest of a brand that make more narrow shoes? I used to wear a 12 AA size.

Actually, it is a pretty nice shoe, but as an 80 yr old with an unsteady gate, I need a shoe with a grippier sole. These are hard and last much traction.

Opened the box and saw the totally ugly raised bump with SAS embossed on it and immediately returned them. Wanted a versatile walking shoe rather than to wear an ugly shoe advertising SAS.

The SAS shoes were comfortable out of the box and look great. The way the lacing is done makes it easier to put on and take off than most lace-up shoes. I'm looking now for other SAS shoes that I can get in other styles and colors.

The width was too narrow. I purchased a one sized wider shoe in same style.

SAS comes through again. I hadn’t bought SAS shoes in quite a while. I needed a shoe that is well made and comfortable. Between osteoarthritis and neuropathy in both feet, it’s hard to find any shoe that provides the support and cushioning that I need. Also, the orthotics work well in these shoes. I love the quality of Texas leather and these are made in San Antonio. I love the history of the company, so I am happy to be back in a pair of their shoes!

this is the 3rd pair of shoes that I have bought over 30 years, they wear like Iron I'm a nurse and am on my feet 10 hours a day, very comfortable.

In my mid seventies I have been wearing SAS Time Out shoes (and other styles) for decades. Loving the cacao color. I feel as it you've stashed the Time Outs away in the athletic category, include them in casual and dress. The cacao look dress to this beholder's eye.

The shoe fits fine. I have been wearing these shoes for over 25+ years. They were considerably less expensive then.

I recently had two of these Time Out shoes resoled/refurbished and thought I'd buy one new pair in a different color. They last forever and are exceptional in comfort and performance. With multiple foot problems, these are just about the only shoes I can walk in and wear pain free/ with little pain. They look good enough to wear in a variety of circumstances with dress being the exception. I have tried so many other highly rated shoes from other companies but I keep coming back to these over 25 years from initial purchase.

These shoes are phenomenal. I bought them and took them on a Viking river cruise and walked every day through seven cities and they were the most comfortable shoes for walking I’ve ever had!

I have narrow feet, so Zappos is my only source for shoes that actually fit. These are 9.5 Narrow and they feel like they were custom-made for me. Honestly, I've never had a pair of shoes fit so well.
