Customer Reviews Salt Water Sandal by Hoy Shoes Classic (Big Kid/Adult)

I was excited to see the new buckle style; while I love my originals they have stretched out to the point that they aren't safe for the many miles I walk in the city. (Which is crazy as I have a very wide foot.) I tried to size down from a 10 to a 9, but the sandals were too short. I purchased the buckle style in black and tan in my regular size. The black pair are perfect - they fit right out of the box and look great with dresses and shorts. I knocked a star off for the tan pair because the footbed has a weird plasticky texture unlike the black pair's smooth leather. I hope Hoy expands the color options for the buckle style. I need my metallics!

Always a versatile, summer winner. Watch sizing-seems to run very small in this style (vs. typical sizes and even their T-strap style which runs longer).

The other reviews were spot on in regard to sizing. I’m a true 7.5M and the 7M was the right length and width. I wasn’t able to keep as the stitching was directly under my little toe. I’m not willing to wet down a shoe that might not work for me, so back they go. Super cute though.

I kept the black and red version of these. I felt that the leather of the rose gold version was stiffer, and I wasn’t sure it would break in. Also, it is pretty shiny. I would have preferred a duller, more neutral finish.

I am a HUGE fan of the Salt Water Sandal, but this style just doesn't do it for me. I have a narrow foot but these still cut in to my foot at the top portion of the shoe. They are not comfortable out of the box and I wanted to love them but they are going back and I'm ordering the other Salt Water style instead.

The fit and size was alright.The material I did not like.The leather was a little still,not flexable and soft.So, when my feet goes into the sandal is not comfortable as I walk, the leather is hard towards my skin.The style is pretty.I wish it was softer so I could enjoy better in walking in them......

I've always wanted to try the salt water sandal- love the classic look, but totally uncomfotable to me. They were stiff, and the stitching on the insole was not to be endured on my big toes. I'll just continue to enjoy seeing them on kids!

My daughter has worn this style of sandal for a long time. The pair we received were not unworn when we received them. The soles showed wear. This is the first time that this has happened when ordering from Zappos. The shoes were too small, so we will be returning for that reason as well.

The fit size is ok but there to flat so I would like to return them

My daughters foot is narrow. Even though these are adjustable, she had to be on the last hole and even then these were wide. Other than that my daughter complained that the sole is so thin compared with previous model that salt water have for younger kids. These actually hurt her feet. Returned them.
