Someone else recommended to get half a size bigger than you normally wear and I did that and they fit perfectly.

I've wanted a pair of Salt Water sandals for years, but always hesitated because of my wide feet (I am CONSISTENTLY a 7W in everything except flip flops). This season I decided to go for it. I ordered the yellow in my normal size 7. As soon as they arrived, I adjusted the front strap to the largest hole, and slipped them onto my feet. SLIPPED! Zero struggle. I was so excited. But then...then I realized these sandals were made for someone with the daintiest of ankles. Ankle straps have never been a problem for me before, so I was surprised. I huffed and puffed and struggled, but eventually managed to fasten both ankle straps on the largest hole. The fit was tight, but I hoped some stretching would happen. I decided to take my new sandals for a test drive in the real world, during a thunderstorm. I hustled from my car to the grocery store and back in a pretty heavy rain, traipsing through puddles with confidence. My feet never slipped, and by the end of my errands the ankle straps felt more comfortable and I can even imagine myself needing to adjust the front straps to a smaller hole at some point. While I don't imagine these would be comfortable for a full day of walking or standing (no padding or arch support), they have exceeded my expectations and I think they will be perfect for beach or lake visits, and for stormy summer weather. I already have two more colors in my cart waiting to be purchased!

Based upon other reviews, I initially ordered an 8 for my size 7-7.5 feet. However I found the 8 too big. I returned and reordered the 7 adult and they are perfect. I am typically a 7.5 / 38 in shoes but often down to a 7 /37 in sandals. I like the adjustability over the toe and ankle and I’m looking forward to splashing them in the salt water to get them nicely formed to my feet. I have bunions and prefer a wide toe box/ minimal / zero drop sole. These are not zero drop but are cute and meet other criteria. I would prefer more flexibility in the sole.

I ordered size 8( women's 10) I usually wear 8.5 to 9. Fit was great. I have a pair from the past. Size still holds true. Great for me who can go barefoot all day. I've worn salt waters most of my life Glad they're still around.

I usually wear a 7 or a 7 1/2 size shoe depending on the brand. I originally ordered the size W7, but my heel was hanging slightly off the back of the sandal, so I ordered a W8. W8 fits perfectly! The return process was super simple. Thanks Zappos!

These sandals are the best. I’ve worn them my entire life, they are comfortable, classic, and sturdy. They feel a bit snug at first, but if you wet the sandal and wear them, they conform to your foot. Worth every penny.

I love these sandals they are cute, comfortable, and can be worn on beach to prevent feet from sand burn, in water they are perfect for bottom of feet protection, and stay on well because of ankle straps, I wore the original swimmers when I was a kid, like forty years ago. So glad to find them again. They look nice with beach wear, sundresses etc

I own two pairs currently and my girls have been wearing this style for some time now. We all just love them! I take mine with me whenever the possibility of a shoe change seems possible because they look great with almost everything. I’ve only passed them down never out due to wear.

I am a true 7.5M. Sometimes a 7 in sandals. These fit perfectly in an 8. Width seems normal for M. After reading a review to get the wet a few times and let them dry while walking around, the straps did become more supple-happily. The stitching on the bottom still bothers one toe--but my feet are extremely sensitive. I'm just going to keep wetting them and walking. Amazingly, they are otherwise comfortable. More so than MUCH more expensive sandals with arch support (and I've had many). I do not understand this--but am very happy and just ordered another pair!. I love the look! And Zappos is still my favorite online vendor~

I'm usually a 6 1/2 and I went with the 7...they are perfect. I love my Saltwater Sandals! For those who say they are stiff and tight...all you have to do is soak them for a bit, put them on wet and wear them until they dry. They will stretch to fit your foot perfectly. Although..with this pair of Classic Saltwaters I didn't have to do this...they fit perfectly with no stretching. I did buy a pair of the Retro Saltwaters and I had to stretch them.

These are the cutest, most comfy sandals for all ages. My daughter and I both have worn them for years and years.

These shoes are precious. My 10 year old has worn some iteration of this style since she was 3, and the Sandals by Hoy Shoes have worn so well. The leather is soft and stretches well but not too much. There’s a good amount of give but they won’t stretch out a size. The foot beds are padded and mold to the foot. The straps are soft on the foot and the buckles stay buckled. She loves them and I love the classic style.

I usually wear a women’s 10 so I first ordered an 8 but my big toe hung over the front of the sandal a little. The 9 is perfect. Very comfortable for me.

I originally bought the Women’s 10 (8) and my big toe hung off the front. I did an exchange for the 11 (9) and they are perfection. So comfy and cute and easy to dress up or down.

My daughter is 12 and recently purchased her current size for Salt Water sandals because she LOVES them! She is picky at this age about style and still loves her SW sandals. This time we got the gold and they are more gorgeous in person. And my daughter says they are comfortable. She plays hard and is outdoors all the time and these sandals hold up!
