I really wanted to like these shoes but was worried about durability. The footbed and sole seemed to be foam. My first pair had some damage so I ordered a replacement pair. They seemed to be better until I realized they had damage on the sole. Before ordering a 3rd pair I read more reviews and realized I agreed with not only the review that the footbed can have some spiky things protruding but also that the soles can be quite slippery. If you get a pair that does not poke your foot, I guess these could be good shoes for walking on a rough surface (like carpet or gravel). My first impression was that the shoe is kind of square looking on the foot; it is not very flattering. I ended up ordering Tevas instead.

These were the most comfortable shoes of All the ones I tried, and there were a FEW!!! The previous reviewers commented on the slick sole, but I decided to see for myself and ordered two pairs of these. The sole is crazy slippery--no way you could get a grip on slippery river rocks or even a sidewalk on a rainy day. Too bad!

Love the style but the sole has some little poky things in it.I ended up getting other pair at a different store, because zappos was sold out

Sandal fit fine. But the middle strap was too damn short! Why does Ryka DO this?? For 1 cent more (cost to have a decent length strap) the sandal would have fit and I would have purchased. Idiots.

Perfect fit BUT shoes you wear around water should NOT be slippery, they are going back asap!

I ordered these in a 7.5 and 8 in medium, which i my usual width. The 8 fit length wise and the width would have been fine except there was no room to adjust it. In the picture it looks adjustable but in reality there is very little velcro beyond what is the default. Seemed to be very cheaply made - very disappointed and will not order Ryka again. They are cure.

My feet are narrow. This shoe was much too wide. It could not be adequately adjusted for narrow feet.

I loved the look of these sandals and had great hope for them However, the arch hit in the wrong place and was immediately painful. My foot floated around on the food bed. Off they came and back they go. Sad because they are cute.

This sandal is ridiculous. True to width only on the footbed. If you're going to make a shoe that's REALLY WIDE (and this one is, which I do appreciate!), you have to be able to close the straps around a wide foot! I can barely get the left one closed, and the right one is 1/4" to a 1/2" short so it won't close at all around the ball of my foot, because the velcro stops way before it should. Also, the left footbed causes the ball of my foot pain, whereas the right one feels comfortable. Otherwise a nice lightweight sandal that's not bad-looking. I've been living in Yellow Box flip flops because the sole has no ridges or arch lumps that hurt. Beware that they are having issues with their straps lately though.

These looked cute, however, they are made of plastic components. They are are sweaty and soles are slippery. Sent back.

As a wide width, these are great. BUT if you have large ankles, don't purchase. The straps were not long enough to go around my ankle and velcro...not by a couple of inches at least. Had they only moved the velcro hooks further up the strap, these might have worked. Wide feet-skinny ankles. Realy?? For some reason that does not make sense to me. Returning.

I received shoes marked with the correct size, but actually one shoe is smaller than the other. When placed side by side the difference is obvious. Very disappointed, cause the shoes were on sale and was very comfortable.

Prompt delivery however the Velcro fastener on one of the straps will not stay fastened. I wore the shoes for about an hour and they hurt my feet. Very uncomfortable. I'm pretty disappointed, I wouldn't mind paying so much for comfort but not for pain
