I so wanted to like these but the heels felt lowered like a Birkenstock, which doesn't work for my plantar fasciitis. Also odd was the arch - it felt like it was much toward the back of my foot and far to the inside. I wore these for only 5 minutes before realizing they'd never work. Disclaimer: I have very odd feet and almost nothing fits me properly so it's entirely possible this was all me & the shoes will be more than fine for others, as evidenced by the glowing reviews.

I have tried both this and the Earth Bali and run into the same problem: the straps don't really adjust. I have a narrow heel but the width of the strap prevents it from pulling tight enough. I like the style and the foot bed is comfortable BUT, if you have a narrow foot save yourself the disappointment.

This sandal does not have a leather lining as stated in the description. I am returning! Also it has a negative heel which is not comfortable for me.

I would have kept these as the foot bed was amazing and fit my foot and arch perfectly, however I encountered two issues. The ankle strap did not tighten enough. The strap fit loosely and once the leather stretched with wear I could see my foot slipping out the back. All of the straps could stand to be a bit shorter on these sandals or have more room for adjustment. My biggest issue was the uneven dying of the leather. I had purchased in the sand brown color. One shoe was lighter than the other and the two tone of brown was absent on some areas on just one shoe. It might not bother some but it drives me nuts to see one shoe a different color than the other. If you purchase a solid color and have average sized feet and ankles this might be the perfect sandal for you. However if you do have a more slender foot or ankle this sandal might be a bit too big.

This sandal has a high arch. When I walked on carpet it felt fine, but when i walked on a hard surface, there was pain in my heel and arch. It was not a comfortable sandal for me & it looked so cute.

I have a wide foot (8W) with low arches, and these shoes were wide enough but the edge of the insole rubbed against the side of my foot. Also, the low heel made me feel like I was falling backwards.

My initial thoughts when I got this was "I like this!" Unfortunately, after wearing it for a short time, I began to think about returning it. I bought a 6 medium & I usually wear a 6 N. In these shoes I got, my toes are about 1/4" from the end. If I had gotten a 1/2 size larger, the toe strap would been too far to the end of the shoes & the shoes would have been wide on my feet. I really didn't like where the toe strap was. (1) When standing, I have a small "bump" on the outside of my foot, and the strap makes it really noticeable. (2) When sitting and sometimes standing, the "cleavage" where my toes connect to my foot is very noticeable. I really do not like either of those things!! A little more leather in this toe strap, 5/8", and the strap moved towards the back of the foot about 5/8", would be a drastic improvement in the design & still be comfortable since its adjustable. I kept them because they are comfortable to walk in. If you have "flat feet", they are going to hurt in the arch area until you get used to it. I find when a shoe has a good arch support like this, I will wear it longer & my feet and my back won't hurt at the end of the day. I have a different Earth shoe that fits fantastic & is so very comfortable. When I am looking for another pair of shoes, I will definitely look at Earth shoes with adjustable straps, but I would not buy this design again.

I really liked this shoe, but arch support totally insufficient for my flat feet!

These shoes are beautiful and I wanted to like them, but the footbed is very hard. Had to return.

Nearly returned these because I have another pair similar in color but reconsidered because the Earth Maui have far more support than my similar pair. I should be able to walk a fair distance in these sandals and not labor to keep up with my long-legged husband. Thanks for the timely service and delivery Zappos!

I bought these sandals last year from Zappos and hardly worn them. This summer I worn them and the cardboard on the shoe is coming up. Of course, Zappos can't do anything about it since it has been a year. I buy lots of shoes online but am reconsidering about buying from them since nothing can be done.

Although the length and width felt o.k., the straps were too loose and I was unable to obtain a secure fit. The sandal felt unstable on my foot, and if the straps were adjusted tighter, the Velcro does not match up correctly. The insole is very soft but does not provide any support. I will need a style that has more coverage and perhaps a buckle rather than Velcro.

I have been looking for new supportive, attractive sandals. When I first tried these on I was very impressed. I loved the copper color, the foot-bed seemed to fit my arches well and they looked even better on my feet than I had expected them to. Then I removed the shoe and took a closer look. There was one fatal flaw: Although they were described as having a leather lining, the straps were lined with a strip of man-made material bonded to the inside of the leather strap. Unfortunately, that is a deal-breaker for me. Personally, I think it is criminal to line the inside of a soft leather strap with plastic. The whole point of a leather sandal, as far as I am concerned, is the part that touches your feet. The man-made lining just ensures that the shoe would never be comfortable, especially in hot weather, so I had to return them. I also ordered the Earth Bonfire, and that shoe had the same problem, so maybe this is how Earth shoes are made. I guess this is not a brand that is going to work for me.

The shoes fit fine, but I returned them because the numerous velcro straps were unnecessary and made the shoe look and feel bulky.

WAY too wide!!!! I even ordered M width and it's wider than a wide width.

I wanted very much to love these Earth shoes, and if they'd been true to the "dropped heel" concept of original Earth Shoes, they might have been fine. However, I have metatarsalgia in my right foot which makes it painful to put my weight in the metatarsal region. The old style of Earth shoes, of which I still have a pair of sneakers, work wonderfully in resolving the problem. Because these have a slight heel, they basically fit like other shoes which don't work for me. Very disappointed because it's nearly impossible to find a true Earth Shoe as they were originally designed.

I have these sandals that I purchased last year and was looking forward to a new black pair with some newer colors as well because they fit so nicely with great arch support. However, the pair I received, though the same style, are made completely different with a very narrow foot bed, insufficient arch support, and poor fit, even though they are the same size as my older pair. I only have to assume they were made to cut back on materials, or in a different plant. Nonetheless, I have ordered a pair from Merrell now that fit as nicely as my older Earth sandals. Very disappointing!

Ripped after a few days of wear :( These sandals fit well and were adjustable in all the right places to create a custom fit. I thought they would be great for my trip to Europe, and all was going well for the first few days until a strap ripped off in two places :( The poor quality of the stitching left me in quite a pickle, as I was counting on these as my primary travel sandals... I had to limp around on a broken sandal until I could get back to my suitcase, and my backup sandals were not suitable for walking all day. They had only been worn a few times before the trip and should have lasted years. These sandals really let me down.

The shoes are a total disappointment because they are completely falling apart after a few months' wear. Bought these as a Christmas present for my daughter 6 months ago, and living in the U.S. northeast, she didn't start wearing them until this spring. Soles are peeling off, straps are disintegrating.

Love the style and comfort of these sandles. Had to order 1/2 size larger than I normally do. I have very narrow feet, but with all the straps fastened tightly, they fit great! Lots of adjustments in the straps so they should fit most any foot.

These are very cute, but I would have returned them if I had worn them more around the house before I wore them outside. I've had them for about two weeks, still trying to adjust them so that they don't hurt. The front strap hits my toes in a bad spot so the metal loop for adjustment digs into my foot when I walk. From other reviews, I thought at first that the arches would be too high, and that's what I focused on. The arches aren't that high, but they are definitely supportive. I'm afraid these will live in the back of the closet.

The color is lovely and it has so many straps to make adjustments for your feet; however, the medium is just too large for my foot. It's too bad that they do not come in narrow to accommodate my fot.
