This sandal is adorable but the ankle strap is not adjustable and even with a little bit of elastic they were difficult to get on, and once on, the ankle strap was much too tight. The toe strap is not adjustable either and it was too wide Gave me the feeling of being strangled at my ankle while the toe of the shoe flapped around. Returning.

I really wanted to love these shoes. They're so pretty, well made, and they look good on my feet. These would look great with summer dresses (which is why I bought them). However, there's something odd about where the arch is placed in the sole of the shoe, so that's it's too far back on my foot and it's uncomfortable to walk in. I haven't had this happen before, so it must be something to do with the way this brand creates shoes, or maybe it's just this pair. Either way, with regret, I'm sending them back.

First of all, order by using your European size, not your US size, to avoid the problem many reviewers have had of the sandal being too large. I'm 9.5/10 US size, which in Euro size means 40. I ordered, and am keeping, this sandals because they have a leather lining, the high arch support, and cute style. I give 3 stars overall because of how they feel when walking, the feet can't flex in a normal way, perhaps because the heel is enclosed or is heavier on back so one has to "drag" a little. The biggest disappointment is the toe strap. One, it's "grandma-ish" and, two, I wish it sat further forward. That is, the toes are completely exposed (not sexy if you have long toes).

I bought these in 8 1/2 and they felt too long like the arch was not in the right place, so I ordered an 8 and the footbed was perfect but ankle strap did even meet up with the other end. I have fat ankles but have not ever had this problem before.

Loved this item, and gold color as well, but I have fat ankles and ankle straps were not quite long enough. Overall footbed seemed to long. Will order 1/2 size smaller but bet ankle strap will still be an issue.

I wanted to love these shoes. Super cute and very comfortable. For me the straps didn't hit my ankle correctly. I could make them loose or snug, it didn't matter, the strap rubbed on my ankle. Sadly I had to return them.

I bought these, along with the ‘Mallory’ and will be returning these. Nice basic shoe but except for the embellishment on the heel, almost boring. I ordered the size 40 and it seemed a bit big but I would be afraid that the next size down would be too small. Ok support.

Wanted to love these but the caused pain in my arch within a couple hours. These are not cushy like other aetrex shoes. The velcor made a wierd noise and seemed not too catchy on one side also.

They are very nice quality shoes but the arch is a little too severe for my feet.

These did not fit my foot. Too long and very wide. I went by the reviews which said they fit true to size. Just not for my foot.??

I SO wanted to love these as I love the style, color, etc., But the fit of the arch was not at all comfortable. Sorry, going back.

Had to return because the arch support hurt my left foot after 5 minutes of wear in the house. The right foot was fine. Maybe was a production mistake

I have martens neuroma on a narrow, bony size 9ish foot and have been looking for something to wear in the summer or with shorts and dresses for 10 years, mostly unsuccessfully. I wear a leather padded metatarsal insert and do just fine. Never in my life have I been able to wear scrappy sandals. Always too big. nice support but my foot kept sliding off to the outside. no support to stay on shoe. toe adjustable but rubbed right on the bones. straps were just not in the right place. I like the sole, not the top. too much beading on back for me. squeaked.

Cute shoe, but the fit was not good for me. It ran big - I normally wear a 7 1/2 or a 38 - but the 38 was way to big.

Sole of the inside of shoe is very slippery, so my foot slid forward. Also, strap over toes looks too old lady like with the velcro. I returned.

I tried "Brenda" and I was surprised by the arch support and the adjustable front strap but the strap around my ankle did not go around my ankle. I have a large ankle apparently. I would love Aetrex to go into wide or extra wide widths. I believe more people would be interested in this type of sandal.

These shoes had great potential, but the structure to make them comfortable ruined the aesthetic of the shoe. Returning these.

I wear a size 42 - in most shoes including aetrex. I own numerous pairs of aetrex. i have very narrow feet and like the brand because most of the shoes are adjustable and on the narrow side. These shoes are almost flat, and were terribly uncomfortable to walk in. nothing for support at all and your foot slides around ... sent back the same day...
