While these shoes are not the best thing since sliced bread, they come close. With a myriad of foot issues, I was relegated to living in athletic shoes, which are fine for most times, but not when I want to get dressed up. These suede shoes look fairly normal with pants, as they do not scream "orthopedic!!!" like the beige and white leather ones do, and are a definite move up from silver and turquoise sneakers (which were the only supportive size 13's I could find. They fit. The removable liner beds (which are comfortable by themselves) accommodate my orthotics well, with plenty of room in the toe area. The EE width is also great for the bunions. I do wish, though, that the heel was a little tighter (too wide). In fact, I just another pair in brown! And I definitely appreciate that this line goes up to a 13.

I purchased these shoes for an alternative to my New Balance 990v4. The are just what I wanted. My custom orthodics fit well in the shoe. The depth is perfect. They provide support without being too heavy. The sizing is consistent with other Drew shoes I have worn. I would like these shoes in another color, possibly gray as I don't often wear brown shoes.

These are very comfortable right away though the area around the ankle (the collar?) is a bit stiff and worried me at the start. I particularly appreciate the double insoles, which make it very squishy inside. I noticed over the course of the day that the laces (which stay tied nicely), loosen a bit so that my feet felt like they were shifting and rubbing. I haven't had any blisters though. I wish that these were available in smooth leather. Black suede is not conspicuous, but it can look heavy. Also, wear patterns show pretty soon on the toes when they get rubbed for a while.

I like how the Drew Hope looks, and was happy to find it's both lightweight and a sturdy walking shoe. Unfortunately the seam holding the decorative toe box cover hits the outside of my foot. It s a bit lumpy and limits flexibility at the ball of my foot. This seam started rubbing immediately and became uncomfortable after just a few steps. Also, the toe box didn't feel as deep as some other Drew shoes I've worn in the past, and rubbed across the tops of my toenails. Anyone with sensitivity in their toes (past injury, arthritis) may want to order larger/wider, or consider a different shoe style.

I liked the way these fit and they were comfortable, but the bottoms were super slippery and felt like fake plastic. I tried them around the house and felt they posed a high slipping risk - so i'm returning them.

I love these shoes. I bought the dark brown suede. I just got them but they are so comfortable to walk in, it’s amazing. It’s been a really long time since I’ve found a shoe I could wear right out of the box all day. The WW is ACTUALLY WW!!! I wear an 8WW and ordered an 8WW. My very wide feet were very comfortable even with all the insoles inside. And the padded insole is terrific. The only thing I noticed when I first put them on was that the toe box bends up a little and was hitting the tip of my large toe, but when I went off to work I didn’t notice that at all. I have some neuropathy in the top of my foot and the lacing allows me to keep the shoe from being too snug on that area. I did notice a little pressure toward the end of the day but it was definitely liveable. The style is better than I expected but I don’t buy for style so much any more because unfortunately I can’t get stylish in exra wide. Thank you Zappos for finding something that works!

I originally ordered the brown suede version of this shoe in a women's size 12. It was half a size too big, so I returned it for an 11 1/2, which is "almost perfect." Wanted a little wiggle room for thicker socks I'll wear in the winter, plus a roomy toe box--so I'm keeping these! The width is also a bit generous, but satisfactory. Don't want to go too narrow. These shoes seem well-made and are a nice addition to my wardrobe. My orthodics fit right in, and they have pretty good arch support.

It's REALLY hard to find shoes that feel good to my feet. I recently had custom arch supports made, which I use in these shoes. They feel better than any others I've tried. I purchased them for daily wear as I go about my fairly active life. My dream pair of shoes would be flexible on top, with a sole that had some give -- like a running shoe but with looks that would allow a person to wear them for business casual events. The sole on these is a bit harder than ideal, but as I said, they're the best I've found so far.

These shoes provide excellent support, without looking too clunky! I appreciated the extra roominess in the toes, while still fitting in the heel. I am standing most of the day, and these shoes are made for that.

Very light, soft shoe, my custom orthotics fit strangely in it and it made the arch support feel "off". Pleased to find a shoe actually wide enough in the forefoot, but too large on the heel. I may need smaller size, but will shop for other walking shoes with a lower price point first.

Comfortable shoe, nice toe box for width, extra depth for orthotics... not much cushion to warrant the kind of chunky tie shoe effect. The extra depth does seem to hurt my foot a bit where the leather seems to cut into my foot. (I have somewhat thin feet and ankles with neuropathy so this could complicate how they feel). I think I will be sending them back... I wanted a nicer brown tie shoe for slacks but these are not much more attractive than a brown new balance or Clark.

These shoes fit better than any other I can remember, and are supportive and comfortable enough that I do not need to use extra orthopedic supports with them. They also seem well built, and I really like the style.

I LOVE these shoes! They are so cute .....and comfortable. Shopping at Zappos is a great experience. Whats not to love - free shipping and free returns. And those Zapponiums(sp) are so helpful and it is fun to "talk to them".

I ordered these in a size 11 1/2, which are still about a half size too large and wide--I normally wear a 12 medium. I ordered them in the brown suede color and they are very basic, attractive shoes--with good support. The material is comfortable on your feet and they have good treads. I would recommend them, but you might want to order a full size down from what your true size is.

THese shoes were just what I had in mind, but I couldn’t make my brace fit into them. The toes, although roomy, were not quite what I expected from the description

This is a perfect shoe for someone that needs a wider toe space. I have bunions and need the extra toe room. The heel was too wide for my foot, so I had to return the shoes.

These shoes are extra-deep. I wear them with the flat insole provided and custom orthotics. They fit well, with plenty of room for the orthotic. My feet are on the narrow side, and the heel fits well. I was concerned that the plastic(?) sole might be slippery, even though it had good tread, but so far no issues. Style won't put me in Vogue magazine, but I'm thrilled to find a shoe that looks good, feels good, and works with my orthotic inserts.

I was looking for a shoe to travel with and this was a great choice - but unfortunately, it was a bit too wide and my size in the medium width was unavailable. I need a really large toe box and this shoe fits that bill!

Love these as a sneaker alternative. They do run wide so I was able to go down a shoe size. They accommodate my orthodontic with out looking too clomp.

I tried several different sizes in the Hope hoping to nail the fit since I loved the feel of the insole. The toe box was not high enough and I felt pressure on my big toe, the heel was too deep and my ankles hit the sides of the shoe.

I was really hoping this shoe would solve my problem. I have bunions and hammertoes and wide feet. The shoe was comfortable and has a wide toe box. Unfortunately it slipped on my heel so I had to send them back.

These are great slacks shoes, relaxed but nice enough to be used at the office. Only negative is the inside sole breaks down after a year and start to squeak. That is embarassing in a quiet office! For the price I wish they wouldn't make noise but for the fit and look I am buying another pair. I do replace the liner with a Vionic with some arch support. Another note, the footbed is fairly stiff. I have noticed that if I walk in them too long it does flare up my plantar faciitis- so be warned.

I ordered the Denim Lea/Nubuck color because I enjoy wearing blue shoes with jeans. When I ordered them I had a feeling I wouldn't like the shoe, but bought them to try in person because I'm having limited success finding lace-up oxfords that support plantar fasciitis. Putting them on, I could tell the shoes were built like tanks — very sturdy and well made — but I also have a skinny foot and the toe bed was just too big for my foot to fill. I've returned the shoes, again, not because of manufacturing, but because they were just too clunky.

I bought the Denim Lea/Nubuck color because I like wearing blue shoes with jeans. I knew when I ordered them that I might not like the shoe, but wanted to give it a chance because I feel I'm running out of options in my search for lace-up oxfords. When I tried them on my hunch was correct — these are stiff and sturdy shoes and had more foot space than my feet could fill. I can tell they are built like tanks and would support the most tender of feet. But I returned them because they were just too big looking and feeling than I was hoping for. Nothing against the manufacturer — again, these are very high quality products.
