My GF bought this for me because I was using the same backpack as I did in the 8th grade. This new one is comfy. Lightweight. And it holds almost all my books. I'm in grad school so I have a lot to carry, but what I can get into this bag, is comfortably carried. It doesnt cut my shoulders at all. It has lots of good pockets.

Best back pack I have ever owned

I'm a graduate student and this backpack has changed my life. Now I'm able to carry all of my necessary books and my computer without chronic shoulder and back pain. I have a one mile walk to and from school and now I actually look forward to it. This pack is so comfortable that I don't even notice it. I also love the two outside storage pockets for water bottles! I'm very happy with my purchase. I would definitely buy this pack again and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable, durable, and stylish backpack.

I use this backpack everyday for school, it carries everything I need from my 15" mac to my hand sanitizer. I feel like this backpack has a pocket/space for everything I need to bring!

I use the backpack mainly for school right now, but once I graduate it will be a great backpack to use for traveling, outdoor activities, and just about anything else I can imagine. I love the pockets it has and theamout of room in each pocket. I also like the fabric used to line the tablet slot. It's soft and I feel comfortable that my tablet won't get scratched.

After hiking the mountains of Southern California for several months I knew EXACTLY what I wanted in a pack. Once I saw this one (love the colors) and the substantial feel, I knew it was the right one for me!

I currently have thee North Face backpacks in different colors. They have lasted very long, and exceeded all of my expectations. I use this backpack for school. It fits my laptop, pencil case, books, binders, gym clothes, meds, and bottles. The pockets are durable and have never tore- even when it got caught in my car door. It's fashionable, comfortable, and comes in many colors. If I could change some things about it, I'd say that its padding on the back should be a bit less firm and make the colors customizable. I'd also like to see the laptop sleeve sealable (with a zipper, velcro, flap, etc.). I love this backpack very much.

I purchased this product for my son who needed a light weight backback, because of weight limitations after surgery. He loves it and it carries everything he needs.

I got this backpack as a gift for my boyfriend and he LOVED it! We loved the pockets inside lined with fleece to protect laptop and other electronics which is perfect for school or any other activity where you have to carry your electronics. Super comfortable with padding on the straps, and stiff backboard to keep your electronics safe while adding extra support on your shoulders and back. I purchased this for him to use for school, but he's excited to take it everywhere!!

Great everyday pack for school, computer and travel.

I bike to school everyday, this is a perfect fit for my laptop, books, water bottle and keys. Pockets are great. It is also safe to wear it at night because it comes with reflecting light lines on the front pocket.

I use this backpack for traveling and school. I love the pockets and how deep they are. The side pockets are great because they fit any size waterbottle.

I use this backpack daily for school I also travel with it. It has held up fantastically for my fast paced life with the easy accessed front pocket, which is great to hold your phone, sunglasses, pens, and even your ID or keys. All in all this backpack is amazing and should definitely be in your cart.

I used this to travel and the women's version is perfect on my petite frame. I plan to take it hiking this summer.

I bought this for my 15 year old daughter after she went through many other inferior brand packs. This time I took the reigns and bought her a pack I KNOW will last. I find North Face brand back packs to be so much more durable than other brands. I will continue to invest in North Face for this reason.

I was in desperate need of a new backpack since I commute to school and have a ton of books and supplies. This backpack has padding and straps that distribute the weight which is a relief on my back! The little pockets are great for keeping all of my stuff organized. I do wish the main pocket was a little larger or had an extension option-when the other pockets are filled, the space gets much smaller and it is hard to fit everything I need. Otherwise, I am very happy with it, I was also very pleased when I received the package, there wasn't any unnecessary packaging that was wasteful!

As a dad and a teacher, I rely heavily on my backpack. It accompanies me at least five days per week to school and on vacation. I practically live out my backpack. So, after purchasing a Borealis for my daughter, I was so impressed, I purchased a second. My black Borealis looks stylish, feels great, and carries electronics, clothes, and my overstuffed books and folders with ease. Plus, zippers are beefy and smooth. Pockets are deep and many. Padding is everywhere; my MacBook appreciates that protection. I expect durability from TNF, too.

I purchased this backpack because I have recently returned to school and needed an all purpose backpack that could manage all of the books and supplies that I need for class. I chose the Borealis backpack because of the large main compartment and the numerous well engineered secondary storage options. There seems to be a place for everything and I personally enjoy the comfortable feel of the Borealis when I have it full of gear and I am walking around campus.
