I needed a medium-sized and comfortable backpack for day hikes and touring. The Borealis fits the bill. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a well designed backpack that is neither too small nor too large.

This backpack is great. I love having the water bottle pocket on both sides. The padding for the tech pockets are great too. Overall, I love this product and enjoy wearing it around campus all day.

Great for school/commuting. Lightweight with pockets for anything.

I really needed a new backpack, so I saved my money and invested it in this one and I don't regret it, I have so many books for school, but this backpack is so comfortable.

After killing my shoulders and back with a different backpack, I decided it was time to venture out and get a solid, supportive backpack. All I can say is that I absolutely love this backpack! It is beyond comfortable and suits all of my needs. Between going to school full time and working as a preschool teacher, I can fit everything I need in this backpack and carry it wth ease. I highly recommend a North Face backpack!!!

Love the size of this back pack and the fact it is still lightweight. Can't wait to take it on my trip to Ireland.

I use this backpack for university and there's enough space for a couple of notebooks, my tablet, and inner pockets to carry any miscellaneous items.

Bought one of these for my hubby as a gift. Used it for his hospital stay of about 3 days. Fell in love. So then I notice the "womens" backpack. Just subtle changes, but enough to make a huge difference in the weight load. So much better for my back, neck and shoulder -- all have been operated on. I carry computer, cords, earbuds, water, files, you name it and the space just seems to grow and the weight does not. I could fit purse in this thing probably and may very well start. Take it everywhere. Love, love this backpack. Couldn't have gotten a better value for my money either.

I used to have problems with my back, so decided to buy a backpack instead of carrying a bag around the whole day. With my new backpack from the north face, my pain is gone. I love it so much I would buy it again.

Very durable and made so well! High quality that makes it worth the price! All other look alike backpacks have fallen apart within 6 months!

I absolutely love this backpack. I am a college student that has anywhere from 1-6 books in my backpack of varying sizes. I also walk a lot around campus and its like I'm not even carrying a backpack! I would highly recommend for anyone for college or commuting or uses it as a version of a briefcase!

Use for office everyday. Carry my laptop and gym clothes in it. Very roomy. Very comfortable

Love this backpack just wish it had more room. Just put the usual things in my tote inside and it was stuffed. However it is very easy to carry.

I love my north face but would love it to be a bit more roomy so that I can put more stuff in it.

It's actually surprisingly large and spacious. The only downside would be that I've seen a lot of other people with this exact same color backpack (black/yellow) so I don't use it as often because of that.

This is a great backpack. I cannot Complain. It has everything I want and need. I highly recommend this backpack. The straps are great and snug.

I love this backpack. It has all these compartments in it, and I am a fan of compartments. It fits my body. I have slim build so the backpack doesn't completely take me over; it fits me perfectly.

I love the laptop and tablet storage, I have no yet used tuis backpack. I purchased for upcoming cruise, it will be perfect to bring things on and of the ship at the different islands and it will make for great carry-on!

I was very pleased with this back pack because of how comfortable it was. It's also not as bulky as I thought it was going to be, meaning you can take it in any adventure!

I had a North Face bag in college but after graduation switched to something that looked more professional (ie. briefcase). I quickly realized that the North Face bags are just more comfortable, more durable, and simply function better. Very glad I switched back, and my back feels a lot better too

I really like the product, everything about it is great but the back of it is really stiff which I don't like....I think the stiff backing makes it heavier too. However besides that so far it's met all my needs. I use it for school, I'm a junior in college and it's a great backpack for that. All I wish is that it wasn't as stiff.

I had a cheap backpack for college that I used my first semester; I walked more than five miles a day around campus with this backpack full of books. I finally decided to get a North Face after having terrible back/shoulder pain from the straps. This North Face one is so comfortable and feels so light. It is very good quality and will be something I can use for a long time. I am very pleased with it. My only complaint is I wish I had a little more room in the biggest compartment. It is plenty big and does not cause any problems. I love this backpack!

I use this backpack for grad school, and it is great to organize and carry all of my stuff!

I put a lot of items in the bag, my laptop, stethoscope, books, shoes, lab coat, and a lot more. It takes a while to get used to.
