I wanted a utilitarian bag big enough to tote my stuff to work (retail) yet small enough to fit in my tiny locker, even in the winter with my puffy coat. Also wanted something that wouldn't get scratched easily going in and out of my locker, like leather handbags do. Compartments are a plus, so I can find things on my brief breaks. I have a small one I used when I had my last job on my commute, and it was perfect, but still a bit too big for this job. I love this one, and the xs is the perfect size for my needs! Also I have a bad back due to an injury, so this one can't be stuffed too heavy and cause pain. It has a gradient blue/purple/pink stripe in the middle, which is right in my palette of favorites, and the inside rubbery coating is a deep fuchsia color I love and was not expecting. I like that it has a cushion pocket I can put a tablet or smallish laptop in, for days when lunch is way too long at work, and I don't have to worry about things in the bag damaging my electronics. Love the water/umbrella pockets, one holds either water or umbrella, the other holds my sunglasses in their case. smaller interior pockets are handy and not overly small, and the key strap is perfect for my work keys. You did it again, can't wait for my next excuse to get another bag! I hope to be able to afford a custom one next time but if I can't I'm sure you will have some cute designs for me to choose from!

great bag. I use it as both an everyday bag for work and a school bag for college. The small is enough room for all my necessities while still being easy to carry.

This is a great bag! I primarily use it for weekend or extended trips. It can fit a ton of stuff. It easily fit three days of clothes plus a pair of shoes and still had room for more! The downside for me is that it is too big for typical day to day use. Straps and rings on the outside are great for hooking loose cleats or a nalgene onto. I dislike that the water bottle straps on the inside are not stretchy enough for my nalgene, but I love the fact that they are there! I personally wish it had more organization features, but with this style of bag it is hard to have organization. Timbuk2 did great with this bag. It is large, durable, and really a beaute!

I use this bag primarily to truck to a spinning class and this bag holds it all....shoes, towel, water bottles, coffee cup, wallet and extras. I love the velcro and adjustable straps. I cans inch the bag if I'm not carrying a lot and absolutely stuff the bag if necessary. The only thing I dont like is that the cam buckle doesn't seem to have much bite and it has come open several times. Overall, this is a great bag that has taken front and center over other bags.

Gave the small messenger bag as a Christmas gift to my wife. She used it for day trips while overseas during Christmas and New Year's. Much more useful than a purse, comfortable to carry, lightweight, roomy, and stylish. I would highly recommend this messenger bag.

Have purchased a variety of Timbuk2 bags over the years for myself and others. Never disappointed by the design and quality of product. When needed, customer service has been great!

This is bag number 3 of this style that lives in my household. We love the upgrades that the 2014 classic has! This on is for my college student who uses his bags for just about everything. Whether it's a weekend trip home or a plane ride across the country or even commuting by bike, he uses this bag more then any other. It seems to take the abuse and keeps on going. Oh, and it rains here a lot, so it's nice to have a bag that is reliably dry inside. Only one downside we have noticed in the normal use is that the coated canvas fabrics (they have a shiney plastic sheen to them) don't seem to hold up quite as well as nylon or regular canvas. I think he is going to send his old one back and see about replacement. He seems to like having two of these to use.

I use this everyday for my commute. Enough room without being too bulky. I wanted something that was durable but still had cute style options.

Our 10 yr. old grandson initially thought the bag was too big for him but was thrilled when "everything fit". He was so pleased that there were compartments for the supplies he carries to art classes. The bag has softened up a bit with all the use.

First time going to Disney World without a stroller and needed a bag that would hold water bottles,snacks, and everything else needed for five kids in DW.This bag holds everything and is very comfortable.

I replaced a larger Timbuk2 Classic Messenger bag with this one. The larger bag is fine but was larger than I needed and I put too much stuff in it. This bag is great for commuting to work. I holds my tablet, phone, wallet, etc. and a book and note pad which is all I need to carry. In this case smaller is better.

As a conceal carry licensee I have been looking for a bag that didn't scream "shoot me first" and didn't look like I was paramilitary. Having had great experiences with Timbuk2 in the past, I searched around for a bag that would suit. This one came up on sale and fits my needs perfectly. If it wears like the other Timbuk2 products that I have (2 messenger bags, purse for my wife, handlebar bag, two cellphone cases, etc.) I expect many years of great service. I would recommend this bag to anyone needing a small bag to carry incidentals on their daily rounds.

I wanted a better airplane travel bag and I have found it. It also works as a diaper bag and a Nahe for day trips. Had lots of room and is fun to wear. Great bag.

I love Timbuktu2 bags. I needed a new purse that could hold more and I found it. This bag is Awesome and has more room in it than I thought it would.

My favorite bag, fits my ipad, notepad, snacks, and my 8oz water bottle.

Great for school and errands. Thought it was a tad expensive but I'm sure it will last for years to come! Love the straps on the bottom to make it smaller. But when I'm not carrying too much they just dangle in the wind like spaghetti. Wish there was a way to make them just a bit shorter. Other than that, awesome!

This is an awesome bag. I am an occupational therapist and work in various settings so I have to carry a clip board with me everywhere and this bag fit the clip board, stethoscope, pens, wallet, and keys leaving extra room for much more. I have also use it as my carry on to Aruba and my husband love it and was carrying it everywhere lols. I will get him one for Christmas in a medium since he is 5'10/5'11. My bag is a small and I'm 5'0 tall so it's a little big for me but I need the space for all my work equipment. I also gotten my cousin one as gift and she loves it!

Would love to see the napolian compartment accessible from both sides or make a left and right hand option

I love that it is made with recycled materials. I wish the water bottle holders were a little bit more stretchy. I can fit my 40oz KleenKanteen bottle in one of the bottle pockets, but just barely. Takes a lot of effort so i usually just leave it in the large main compartment. I love this bag though! I love/have loved All timbuk2 products i have owned.

I love my new bag.. Very lightweight.. I got the xsmall.. And i can fit all my stuff that i need to put.. My little bag works great forwork.. Very durable material and very comfortable strap..

I love this bag but I wish there was an outside pocket in the back. Very durable, I don't envision this falling apart ever.

I purchased the bag in size S and loved everything about it except the lack of compartments because I got a lot of small items I need to carry around. After adding an organizer bag inside the bag became perfect!
