The strap is a bit short for a big guy like myself.

I got the small size classic messenger bag. It's primarily my cargo bag for longboarding, but I also use it for school. It's the perfect size to fit a few notebooks and a kindle or chromebook, plus a small water bottle, and maybe a couple tools. The basic strap pad is surprisingly comfortable. I do wish the pockets were made out of some stronger material, as I am concerned that putting much in them will quickly wear through the thin (nylon?) material. I also wish the inner water bottle pouches used an adjustable strap instead of elastic, as the capacity is quite limited and getting even a small bottle in them can be a bit annoying. That being said, these are fairly minor quibbles and most people will likely find neither of them to be of any issue.

I have been looking for a good messenger bag for a while, one that is sleek and professional looking but also comfortable and practical--this bag fits the bill for all of that. I am in my last year of school as a Graduate Architecture student, and wanted to make an investment that would serve me for my last year and as I enter the profession. Could not be more pleased with the purchase!

this is a really great comfortable, roomy riding bag. It has room to fit all my books and computer with some room left over .when I'm riding my bike it does fall off when the small strap (the one the connects to the side of the bag and the big strap that goes across your chest ) is connected . The only thing is that when that strap is not connected it has no where else to go and just hangs unless you wrap it up which takes a little to unwrap, of coarse you can take it off but that takes awhile . It would be helpful if there was a place for that to hook or something like that .

Use messenger bag for school and work. Good for computer, books, and clothes for work. I will get another one, but the backpack. Nothing wrong with the bag.

Perfect for motorcycle commute to work. I was slinging my heavy leather briefcase. I switch to this when weather permits me to ride to work. Bag does everything I need. Slings well and so light I forget it is there.

I expect to be using the bag for years and hopefully decades, utilizing the lifetime guarantee as needed. But it's made so solid, I may not ever have to.

The gunmetal/Adobe color combo is beautiful. The pockets and compartments of the medium bag are great. The only negative is the straps that hang down below the bag. They are there to adjust the depth of the bag. They are long and we end up tucking them in anyway we can. The bag is a combo of classy and hip but those straps are a nuisance and take away a little from the aesthetic. That being said, we are extremely happy with every other aspect and wouldn't trade it for any other bag out there.

Super high-quality bag and worth the money. The color is vibrant, material and parts seem very durable after about a month of use, and it's an easy bag to navigate. Easily adjustable strap might be the most convenient thing about the bag, but the quick-access velcro is pretty nifty too. I think darker colors would probably show less wear, but either way it feels stylish and professional.

Great durability. This bag of mine is often thrown into vehicles, stompted on, rollie-chair'd, etc. Great size to replace my handbag which was getting brutalized at work. Enough space for my personals, note pads, work and personal phones and chargers, small snacks, water bottles, color pens, kindle....um, you get the point. Always loved the classic messenger bag.

I received this bag as a birthday gift, and I absolutely love it! I have another Timbuk2 messenger bag that is bigger than this one, and sometimes it has seemed too big for day-to-day. This bag is the perfect size. I love the colors, there's plenty of pockets for storage, the strap is comfortable. It is especially a good size for biking while my daughter is in the bike seat behind me. My other bag would have been too bulky to wear. The bright colors are fun but also make me more visible on the road. I really dig it.

After much searching, I found the perfect bag. As a gift, I received the Medium Classic Messenger in black and couldn't be happier. It has been my daily work bag, travel companion, and it accompanies me to my evening classes. As a hospital employee and social work student, it helps me stay organized while on the go. My favorite compartments are the slash pocket for papers, key fob, and the hidden pocket for my wallet. The interior is very roomy and holds my 32 oz Nalgene bottle, lunch bag, and sweater. I can speak for the waterproof aspect since I recently took it to the beach. It kept the water out and the sand wiped right off. It has been tossed in my car, on the light rail, and on the ground. Not a scratch! If you are like me and have been looking for the bag to do it all, this is it!

I use my bag a lot to the office. It is a good size for my iPad, iPhone, charger, daily, etc. I like the colors I pick. My coworkers are very jealous and ask where I bought it from. I wish I can have a referral code or something that I could get discount for my next purchase. :) I love the bag!

I was worried about the size ( Xs) being too small but it works great for the essentials for a shorter outing with 2 kids (nappies, wet wipes, change of clothes, two water bottles, a few snacks and money, keys etc.) or is pefect size to bring everything I might need for myself for a short trip or day out. I love the colour. It is just a perfect cool neutral grey and looks good with everything. I love how durable and well made it is. My husband has had a large size one for going on 11 years now and it is still in pretty good shape. I am going to be back to get myself a size medium for long haul flights! It is really secure for crowded cities, airports etc. but also really easy to find what you afre looking for! This is the bag!

I bought this to take papers and books and such to work (I'm a social worker). It's nearly perfect. I do kind of wish it had more compartments for organizing small items inside and outside the bag, but that's not even a complaint. I'd highly recommend this bag.

This is the second Timbuk 2 messenger bag I've bought. My other one is a medium, which is large enough to carry everything I need for a flight. The extra small is perfect for everyday trips around town. It holds everything I need and the Velcro and fasteners are very secure. I never worry about anyone reaching into my bag without me knowing, or anything falling out. You have to put a bit of effort into opening it - which is good!

This is the third timbuk2 bag I've owned. I wanted to try the extra small messenger as my everyday purse. I'm an active mom and super tough on bags. So far, this bag is withstanding my abuse. It has plenty of room for water, toys, snacks, a book and an iPad. I love how easy the straps adjust and the padding on the strap makes all the difference when it's loaded down. The only gripe is that the material holding the clips on the outer flap is getting worn and torn up by the velcro. I assume this is because I open and close is many times a day without placing the flap over the velcro perfectly. Overall, this bag is functional, roomy and deserving of 5 stars!
