I got this bag for my high school aged nephew as an alternative to a back pack and he put it to immediate use.

I have bought a few shoulder bags recently, hence spent quite a bit. Those bags I bought met some of my needs but this timbuk2 I bought by far the best. I have been using it since I have it and have been neglecting the rest. This bag is full of useful and practical compartments. I highly recommend to those looking for a shoulder bag.

I live in NE and walk to work. I've always had a big backpack to carry everything I need for the day (and weather). I ditched my big bulky backpack for this bag. It's spacious, but not too large that I can overfill it and make it too bulky. It fits a lot but helps me restrict what I'm throwing in. It's surprisingly more comfortable than a backpack for walking to work, particularly with a heavy Macbook Pro. It's sturdy and nice enough to take to client meetings. The only issue I have is that if I swing it around to get something out, often the piece that holds the strap length in place comes undone and I have to reposition. It's a minimal issue, but can be annoying nonetheless. I'm really happy with my purchase of this bag.

I use the bag as a rapid response nurse at a Detroit area hospital. In addition to allowing me to carry the live saving supplies that I need to care for patients, it is comfortable to carry throughout a 12 hour shift.

I can carry everything from my purse, my knitting, my iPad, book, lunch. Perfect size and I love the look of it - very cool.

The quality was on par with my expectations, it is well built and with very nice finishings. The size was the right for me, althouhg it is the "small" there is plenty of room for a medium laptop, some books and extras. I plan to use it on day trips because I do photography and I can carry a small camera with some extras and I like to have my camera accesible all the time, something that is difficult with a regular backpack.

I bought this bag for two reasons: 1) I had an international trip coming up to a somewhat insecure country and 2) I needed a new bag for work (I fly constantly and need something durable as well as professional enough). I was curious if I could fly something that worked for both. Timbuk2 killed two birds with one stone (proverbially). I first ordered the size medium, and that was wayyy to big to be comfortable for lots of walking/traveling (unless you don't have my tendency to use all available space). I returned it for the size small in a brighter color, and it is perfect! I didn't bring a laptop on my trip and used the additional space to carry a light jacket. It was perfect for everything from wine tasting to beach days to city walks, and the multiple zipper compartments made it easy to keep important items secure. Now that I'm home again it does duty as my work bag, and I love its sporty but stylish zip. Perfectly fits everything I need for a plane ride plus a day in the office.

This bag is so spacious

I purchased the medium messenger bag for my grandson, who is in Middle School. The size is perfect for his books, binders, etc. It is good quality and my grandson thinks it is perfect for his needs.

when i have a light day at the job, i use the SM as both a work bag and gym bag. the XS i use when i know i only need to carry my eReader, water bottle, and personal items. the pockets and lanyard for both bags are phenomenal and make it so easy to quickly grab what you need without dropping everything else out of the pockets. the quality of the material is why i purchased these two bags plus a backpack from this company. i got sick of buying bags that only lasted three months before suffering tears in the material so i returned to buying timbuk2 bags. the prices are slightly higher than other messenger/backpack companies, but the timbuk2 bags will last you years. thank you for creating such excellent products.

Is a great product that can serve many uses. Can be a classy business bag and then can be used as a gym type bag.

This was the best gift I could've received. I needed something that acted as a briefcase, but was more functional for work. I'm pretty tough on my bags, carrying lots of heavy books, papers, food, coffee, etc. - so I find that many bags last only for a short while before they virtually disinigrate. This bag is amazing. This was a gift for my boyfriend. He's a chef and needed a bag for his commute to work. This is perfect! It holds everything he needs (notebooks for recipes, chef coat, non slip shoes, headphones, small laptop, and much more), it helps to keep him organized, it's stylish, durable (very important) and it's his favorite color! He loves it!

I used the product to carry my laptop for commute and short trips. The actual volume of the bag is amazing and it fits my shoulder so well that I do not feel as tired when I used other messenger / laptop bags.

bought as a gift for a friend...she loved it

Got the small corduroy nylon bag in black for Christmas. So far, it has been great. I got it based on my previous experience with Timbuk2 bags. My large ballistic nylon nag has been going strong for 15 years! I wanted a smaller version for everyday use, as I don't need the extra space in the large bag daily. It is awesome! In hindsight, I might very gone one size up so my laptop would fir, but the bag is great and I will use it for years to come

I place my small purse inside this bag as well as a tablet and "paper" notebook. I need two hands when I take my elderly father anywhere and this bag allows me to do that and take everything I need for the day. Never disappointed in the these bags. Love the changes. In the past, my family members have "borrowed" my bags but this one is MINE. We are a six Timbuk2 bag family.

I use the small messenger bag for work and travel. My 13' MacBook Air & iPad Pro 12.9 both fit into the specific laptop divider. This bag is awesome. Looks hip, sexy, and expensive. The build quality is top notch. 10/10 for quality, comfort, and appearance!
