My wife got me one of these in L after my Aerostitch was stolen. Great quality for the price point.

wanted a small size. It's great for every day. I wish it had a little padding for a tablet or laptop. How about a sleeve just for that?Otherwise, I like these messenger bags a lot.

I like this bag, the only change I would add a handle on the top instead of the back top. Thanks for designing and making a waterproof and functional bag.

I've only been using the bag for a short while. I got it to complement my new bike for commuting since the new bike will not take a rear rack (Cannondale Topstone Carbon) and I can't use my existing panniers. I was concerned about it possibly not fitting my 15" MBP which I carry in a Thule semi-hard case. No problem, the computer inside the case fits perfectly and snugly in the computer sleeve area of the bag.
I really appreciate the additional diagonal chest strap which keeps the load from shifting while riding as well as the little webbing loop on the back where I can attach an additional tail light on a clip.
The bag is well designed and seems very well put together so I'm not expecting any issues in terms of durability.
I got the "Hazard" color pattern which is killer for daylight visibility and also just looks pretty cool.

I bought this because I wanted a smaller bag to carry my iPad mini and some sketching supplies. This is a well made, really nice looking bag and I am happy with it. I will probably be getting a larger one that I will custom design.

Love everything about this bag so far. I do wish there was a little outside pocket but other than that, it's perfect for school. Very comfortable on my shoulder. My husband even had to buy one after seeing mine!

I bought the xs classic messenger bag and it's been so convenient I just purchased the small for days I need to carry more stuff. The bag is beautiful, functional, ruggedly built and very stable with the added strap. I love this bag! It's been well thought out organizationally and the color choices are great. I also love how seamlessly I can go from bike to office without any questioning looks from co-workers... Is a very nice looking bag. This is a great investment that looks like it will hold up for years and will be worth patching someday if it ever needs it.

I love the variety of Timbuk2 products. In the process of organizing my life I usually think of putting together things in a new bag. I got this one for work. I do a lot of house calls selling products for the backyard. I need to be able to grab a bag and go to the customer's house. Tape measures, tape, drawing tools, presentation tools and pricing tools.

I have had and used it for about 4 years now as a either a compliment to my roller bag (checked or carry-on) or when I am also carrying a heavy camera back pack. In both cases I use it for 15" MacBook Pro, 9-inch iPad, assorted cables, back up drives, sweater, notebooks, small umbrella, etc etc. When I am not traveling with a full camera kit (two bodies,3-5 lenses, filter case, etc) , I will use a regular day pack that I have outfitted for one camera body and some lenses in individual padded case. Then when I am out and about, the Timbuk2 gets left in hotel room or car and I just carry to daypack. But it is for loner trips when I carry the full camera kit that I wish the bag had backpack straps. Why? because for carry on you are limited to at most two bags. So one will be loaded camera pack, the other th Timbuk2 shoulder bag. But often for a stroll around a city or a day hike I often don't need the full camera kit and the camera pack is too big and heavy to carry around. Especially in an urban environment. So then I would wrap up one body and put it into Timbuk2 bag with a couple of lenses, and miscellanies. BUT - my problem is a not so good back. Oddly, while I can easily carry a fully loaded backpack, even a light bag slung over one shoulder (or cross body) is enough of an unbalanced strain on my back that it becomes quite uncocmfortable after awhile even with often switching shoulders. So that is why I would LOVE to have tuck away backpack straps on the bag. As a possible solution I have just ordered but not tried yet the Patagonia Tres Pack 25L. Pretty much same specs as the Timbuk2 bag BUT with addition of backpack straps. So we'll see how that goes. With just this one proviso the T bag is GREAT. Especially the organizational abilities and the terrific shoulder strap.

I am going to be using this bag every day for the next to years as a missionary in Trinidad where it is hot and humid all the time. The bag looks like it will hold great and has plenty of room. Great product and the company will work with you for what you want.

It holds all my "stuff" including plein air art supplies. I like to travel light so the XS works great for me. The quality is fantastic.

This is my first messenger bag, and I love it more than enough space for everything I need: a laptop, textbooks, notebooks, water bottle, and room for my bulky headphones as well.

So the back pack I used to use for work was falling apart after 3 years of use, before I stop using it zippers broke just basically wear and tear took its tole, thus started me shopping for a new work bag. After a week of window shopping on line for a potential replacement, I come across the Tim Buk 2 website, its everything I could want in a work bag, I can fit my labtop, chef coat, chef apron in the medium size messager bag. Thx
