Love the pebbly leather on these in the black Aunt Sally. Softer than the original 1460s but not as floppy as some other Pascals. Nice monotone look with the black stitching - a change of pace from the usual yellow. My typical US size is 8.5 - the 8 (UK 6, EU 39) is my size in Docs. I have narrow heels so I wear these with the Docs comfort insoles, which take care of any heel slippage and add some extra cushioning. I can be on my feet all day with this combo. No breaking in needed - these were wearable and comfortable on the first day. They can be a bit warm in summer weather - and heavy, but no worse than most Docs. The zipper is a cute design element. I can use it to get out of the boot quickly, but to get the boot on, I have to use the laces. No shortcutting it. A note on the laces: They’re too short to go all the way up the boot - and I have skinny ankles. Purchase a set of longer ones. You’ll be happier.

I bought these for for my daughter for Christmas. She loves them and they fit well. I even tried them on. They are a size 9, but a Eurpoean size 41. I usually wear a euro 40, however these fit me. I like the zipper, especially since I have skinny ankles.

I love the cherry red grizzly color and the feel of the softer leather on this boot. I mainly ordered it because of the side zipper which makes wearing it easier. I love Docs and have several pair and the fit is always perfect. I wanted something besides the normal black and these make be smile every time I wear them. Nothing like having "happy feet'"

If you've hesitated buying this boot because you were afraid you had to break it in like other Doc Martins, don't. This boot is soft, roomy, and comfortable right out of the box. I have a foot that's narrow at the heal and broader in the front with bunions. This boot is really comfortable. It has adequate arch support, but plenty of room if you want to add more. Really nice boot. If you order your normal size, there's room in the toes for a thicker sock, too, but they can be worn with thin socks. And they are so easy to get on and off with the slick zipper. Well designed boot. Don't miss out on this boot.

I was recovering from ankle surgery and needed a white pair of boots that would go with my dresses and help keep pressure on my ankle so it wouldn't swell. These boots are phenomenal and they are still doing a great job. I am able to go to work and look good.

I returned these for another pair without the zipper. The zipper makes noise when you walk and I wasn’t a fan of the clanking.

I was originally drawn to these boots because of the zipper, but once I tried them on, its style kind of negated the convenience. I don't like how it's positioned because it takes some finesse to zip correctly. I didn't like the way it jingled when I waled. I also couldn't get these boots laced tight enough for my (slightly narrow) foot. Even laced all the way closed, I still had heel slippage. Insoles didn't help (and made the boot way too tight). The leather was also too soft for me and scratched too easily. So, just not the right boot for me. I ended up with some women's 1460s instead, and am very happy with those.

I was looking for a Doc that has a zipper and laces, since I have a narrow heel. I, however, had the same issue another reviewer mentioned: I couldn't get the laces tight enough because the pieces with the eyelets were built too close together and they would have had to overlap to get tight enough. My heel slipped when I walked, so they will go back. Weird design. Darn.

I love these boots! I am recovering from ankle/foot injury and wanted to find something that would stabilize my ankle and provide a highly adjustable fit. These fit the bill! I can make the laces tighter or looser, depending on swelling, but can zip them on and off easily. Perfect. The leather on these is softer than other Doc boots, and I broke them in after one day of wear. They do run large - I wear an 8.5 or 9 in most women's shoes, but bought these in a 8 and they fit well. The only downside is these don't have the trademark yellow stitching on the sole.

Super cute, I am normally a 7 in boots and got a 6. They were pretty tight but I was told to size down because they stretch out quote a bit. I ordered a shoe stretcher online and they are now perfect and comfy.

I always have loved docs and have had my original 8 eye boot for years. However, tying and untying the shoelaces were such a hassle and took forever! So when i found these with zippers, i knew i had to get them. Now it's so easy and effortless to put them on & I love it!

Love these boots! Got the red ones on sale & as usual par Zappos excellence they were waiting for me when I got home from work the next day. Fit- I've been wearing docs for 30+ years & the roomy sizing on this style is what I love about docs. I'm wear a womens US 7.5 wide & the size 6 doc gives me room to add some cushy arch support & still be comfy all day. These days I primarily wear docs for riding my motorcycle so the zip on this Pascal is a sweet bonus for quick & easy on & off. Thanks Zappos!

The leather is super soft and the style is awesome. I like that they are not too heavy. I am a true size 8. I kept them because sizing up would have been too big so I using very thin socks and that helps.

I recently had foot surgery. The ease of getting these shoes on and the “no pressure’ on my toes, is perfect! Put them on the first day and wore them for 10 hours. Right now this toe box is better than any tennis shoe I have to wear.

I am a 6.5 US Women's but for DM I always get size 6 and it fits just right.

I love these boots. They are so comfortable. Took about 4 times to break them in. Now I don’t want to stop wearing them. The zipper in the side makes it so easy to take on and off.

Great shoes. Love the texture, love the stylish detail of the zipper. Will take some time to break in and feel like “mine” but otherwise they’re perfect.

I got these for my daughter's 14th birthday. She wears them everyday. They took a little while to break in, but now they're perfect and she LOVES them. The zipper broke after a few months of wear, but again, she wore them everyday. Zappos was great, and immediately allowed me to exchange them. I'm getting the ones WITHOUT the zipper.

I immediately loved these boots as soon as I put them on. They were comfortable, leather was soft but not floppy and I could stand all day in these. I was a bit concerned about noise from the zipper but it was not an issue at all.

I am a 9.5 usually but I sized up to a 10 just in case. They’re comfortable but a little big for sure. Love them though!
