I like my old Hunter boots, but I'm sorry, unfortunately these did not cut it. The only thing i like about them is the color - very hard to find light, neutral colored rain boots for some reason. The main problem is they cut into my shins when i walk. Yup, something folds or bends there and it is not comfortable at all. Also not thrilled about the style. Actually the originals are more flattering on my foot and leg than this style, which makes my foot and leg look kind of clunky, even though these are supposedly the 'refined' ones. The heel is less flattering too, kind of plain and old-ladyish, not much style. Wish the glossy short originals came in this color.

I loved the look and they were super comfortable but way too hard to get off.

I know these boots are super popular, but I found them to be ugly, clunky, and not form fitting at all. I really don’t see the point of them - I much prefer my leather lace-up waterproof boots made by Ugg.

I always wear an 8 in Hunter boots but this new style runs very narrow in the shaft. The foot bed is an 8 however getting my leg in the boot was hard. I sized up to a 9. The shaft works for me but the foot bed IS a true 9. So.... the shaft is REFINED. FYI

I wear a size 9.5 but there are no half sizes so am returning my size 9 for a size 10. They are a beautiful boot however.

After reading reviews of these online I ordered a half size down. I'm normally an 8.5 in most of my shoes, so I ordered and 8 and it was too small, but fit in the calves. Then I ordered a size 9 and they fit my feet with room to spare with socks, but the calves were too tight. I'm going to try another version of the Hunter boot since I have to work a possibly rainy, muddy outdoor event for a couple of days.

I wanted these to work out so badly. I have a pair of Hunter Original Tall rain boots for four years, and a few months ago, I thin hold (looks like a "slice" mark) near the seam of the boot appeared, making them no longer fully waterproof. I was one year beyond the warranty. I immediately ordered a new pair of the Original Tall and was very disappointed to find that the style was MUCH clunkier than before. Not elegant at all. Also, I have very thin calves, and the new Originals were WAY too wide around the calf, much bigger than my favorite pair in the same size. They made a flapping sound when I walked. So I sent those back and bought these, the "Original Refined" boot. I love how they look, but the calf is STILL too wide for me. It flops around and looks and sounds weird. The foot bed is quite narrow, so I tried both a size 6 and 7 (I'm normally a 6 or 6.5) and neither worked for me. So, I am returning them and am moving on to Le Chameau, which is only a bit more expensive and WAY more stylish and better quality. I'm very disappointed in Hunter and don't recommend these if you have a very thin calf.

Really wanted to like these. Fits TTS unlike the original hunters. I'm 5'4" and they're a couple inches too tall. Can't walk up stairs without them hitting the back of my thighs. They hit right below my knee. Purchased these instead of the originals because I thought they would run slimmer for my skinny legs, that's not really the case. They're still pretty bully. Most likely returning these because $180 is crazy to spend on rubber that doesn't fit right. These runner a little narrower than that original, which is another reason I purchaed

I normally wear a size 9.5-10, but based on reviews I ordered a 9 to ensure these were not too big. The size 9 was too small in the foot. Additionally I have normal sized calves, never have I needed to order "wide calf" in any style and I love knee-high boots. Again, normal, average sized calves. These boots however, were so tight around the calves I could barely get them on! The height and style were cute but the fit was poor. There are equally cute boots out there, that fit better, for a better price. Ultimately returned.

Quintessential rain boot all the cool ladies are wearing. Unfortunately, the boot is not flexible enough for my sensitive ankles, so every bend of the foot and ankle is uncomfortable when walking. Really wanted to love these.

I loved these boots!! Then I wore them once and the color on the back of the boot in the mid-calf area rubbed off after only one wear! :( I was so disappointed. All I did was drive and sit in a coffee house. I had to return them - but Zappos was wonderful and processed the return of the defective boots no questions asked!

I've tried 3 different Hunter boots, with no success. The rubber just hurts my ankles when I walk because of inflexibility. The latest were Original Refined and, although I do not have short legs (5'6" with longish leg for height), the top of the boot hit above my knee when walking upstairs - painful. So, although I admire the look of Hunters in our lots o'rain, they're clearly not for me.
