I've been buying Clarks for over 10 years now and have always bought 9.5W and 99 percent of the time they fit. However, in the last couple of years I've noticed that their shoes have become smaller and many times these shoes no longer fit my foot, which has a wide toe bed and high arch. Thinking that my foot was growing, I brought out two new pairs of Clarks I bought several years ago and tried them on and they fit perfectly. (Yes I buy several pairs of the same model when I find a shoe that I like and that fits properly and slowly go through them until they wear out). This shoe was narrow, short and tight overall and I'm sending it back. Its also so form fitting, my foot would probably stink from the lack of air. Strangely enough the black pair was a bit bigger than the plum pair. I suggest order up a half a size if you have wide feet with a high arch.

Adorable shoe. Hard inner sole, not enough cushion or support. Really wanted to keep it and love it, but can't. Arch support seems minimal.

I bought this shoe after I was told the Clarks Wave Trek was discontinued and this shoe replaced it. I had previously bought 3 pairs of the Wave Trek, size 11W. They fit great right out of the box. The Wave Andes runs small and narrow. The 11W is too short in length and tight in width. It also has a light-colored sole, unlike the Wave Trek, which was totally black. The light-colored sole will not look good with an all-black outfit. The Wave Andes is a disappointment for me and they are going back.

This is a great shoe. I have loved it from day one. I have to stand in the rain many days at work and my feet have stayed dry. Good support. I have to stand at work for long periods of time.

Footbed has a thin layer of something (removable) and under that a cheap little piece of foam under the heel only and the ball of the foot is absolutely rock hard and totally stiff. If you've got your own foot padding, fine but if your feet are thin or even normal in fat pad, it will be really hard. Possible to replace the pad inside but . . .The outsole is also stiff as a rock, no flex at all. The shoe is cut on the deeper side so there is room for your own insoles. The toes are cut rather stubby which Clarks' did on all their models this year. Also the heel sits very low so your weight will be shifted to the back of your heel. Just basically not ergonomic in any way. So sad to see the Wave go down the tubes like everything else. This is certainly not a $140 shoe.

I generally love Clarks; I have three pair of Wave Walk and three Cloudsteppers. So it was unexpected that these did not fit the bill. I ordered 1/2 size up to accommodate orthotics, but they were tight. They also felt quite narrow, for a medium-width size. Definitely not a roomy toe box. Furthermore, both tongues were stiff, more so on the right, where it cut into my ankle. The arch placement felt off, too - too far forward. I tried them with and without orthotics. There is no real cushion in these; standing in them, the foot bed was hard. It is too bad - I loved the taupe color, the sole (on the outside), and the toe guard.

This is my third pair. I bought two others on sale and was fortunate to get this one on sale too. It fit perfectly right out of the box. This shoe works very well for walking and maintaining good balance. Was recommended years ago by my podiatrist. Great shoe.

Perfect fit! Bought on the recommendation of a friend. Needed support and comfort, along with good style for fall and winter; it's all there in this shoe! I have need for serious support, and these deliver.

I have purchased these shoes three times. I wear them everyday for a walk during fall and winter. They are sturdy and comfortable. Since selection is limited for wide sizes these are an excellent choice for everyday wear.

Loved these out of the box! Wore them around the house all day to be sure... Expecting a week of nasty rain and don't want to break them in in this nasty weather. Wore them in winter with thick wooly socks and also tested with a thin cotton sock for summer. Perfect. Thanks Clark's!

The fit and size were perfect! This is my first pair of wide shoes after noticing my toes were starting to misshape. After wearing these for over 4 months now my toes are staring to regain their original shape! Walking in these shoes relax my legs and hips. They are a perfect fit for someone who never had a true fit before! 5*s from me!

Not only are these shoes ready to wear with very little breaking in time, I found out they are waterproof. That makes them even better.

Love these shoes. Bought a second pair, since style may be discontinued. Very comfortable for walking. Waterproof, good for use in cold, wet, weather.

I ordered this shoe in an 8 wide because the 8 medium width did not accomodate my orthotic and it was a little too snug for socks. I called and the Zappos service rep suggested i try the 8 wide. This wider shoe is much better and accomodates my orthotics and also my Smartwool socks. Very comfortababe, I wish I could get another pair in a different color. I have been wearing them around the house and standing a lot in them. No cramping or foot pain. These are keepers. I began this process by trying to buy a new pair of the Clark's Wave Trek. Have purchased several pairs of this shoe in the past. This is a great walking shoe. I have Plantar Fasciitis and flat feet. I can really walk and go the distance in the Wave Trek. Sorry it is no longer available.

I am so happy to have found these shoes. Nerve damage in my toes makes it important that when I am doing a lot of walking, I wear shoes that have a stiff sole and a low heel. For several years I've had to wear hiking shoes or ugly orthopedic looking sneakers in the summer and clogs in the winter if I am doing any significant amount of walking; everything else causes pain. I got these Clark's before a vacation this summer and the problem was solved! I was able to walk for miles on stone and cement city sidewalks with no foot pain whatsoever. They are cute and fashionable in that skater/bowling shoe kind of way that is in style now, and much less clunky than a hiking shoe or true sneaker. They look good with jeans, shorts, casual skirts, etc. They can be worn in summer or winter. I do use my own custom orthotic in place of the removable footbed - they definitely DO have a removable footbed, at least as of summer 2018. I hope Clark's never stops making these, but given how quickly styles evolve, I've stocked up on a couple of additional pairs for once my current ones wear out.

I like everything about these shoes. The aubergine color is gorgeous, more of a rich chocolate than purple. The heel base affords good stability, the narrow fits snug in the heel, the tongue is stitched down partway up to keep out debris, and they're waterproof. I'm going to reorder in a half size larger, which I'm finding I need now in Clarks. Maybe my feet have grown; I'm "mature."
