I really wanted to love these. I like the color and the look of them. They would have been exactly what I wanted except the bottom sole is rock hard. There is no flex to the sole at all, and it seems super stiff and solid compared to any other shoe I have tried. Just standing around in my room felt like it was going to start getting uncomfortable. I don't know if it is designed that way for a specific purpose or not. It seems like you could walk on anything and nothing will penetrate through the bottom of the shoe, but it feels like a little piece of cement under there. It's too bad because it has a nice shape and size to it. A lot of hiking shoes are clunky looking, and this one is simple and cute but sporty.

This shoe was very heavy and uncomfortable for me. Sorry that I had to return it.

Clark's Wave Andes is a very heavy shoe. I particularly have no need for this type of weighted shoe. The foot bed was plenty wide and I am assuming I may have not needed to order it in a wide width as it was extra roomy. Looked a bit orthopedic as well. I am 59 years old and not impressed with the design or styling.

It just was not that comfortable, possibly because it was slightly narrow

WOW! First of all, these shoes made my feet look ENORMOUS! And that was in the black. But the real issue is that the footbed is hard, stiff and provides virtually no support. Awful, terrible shoes...and weren't worth $40, never mind $140.

My feet have always felt comfortable in Clarks, starting with desert boots a very long time ago. Unfortunately, Clarks Wave Andes were not only uncomfortable but painful. The footbed was very hard, as other reviewers have commented, and since I'm dealing with plantar fasciitis (sore heel) I used my own inner soles but felt no relief from the pain. There's no cushion for either heels or toes, unlike other Clarks, so walking anywhere in these shoes is out of the question. Returned them and hope other models will treat my feet more respectfully.

This shoe was unlike any of the other Clarks Wave shoes I have had. My first ones were the wave walk and they were unbelievably comfortable and supportive and they did give extra energy to your step. I also had 2 pairs of Wave Treks and they were equally as good. These are a totally different shoe. I'm so sad that the older technology has been replaced I would gladly pay even more for that.

Have had the Wave Trek for 3.5 years, wearing them every day including for walking up and down hills to catch the bus or several miles to shop. They have been great and had I known they were to be discontinued --- and for not earthly reason -- I would've snatched up more. Tried on the Wave Andes in the store -- geez are they ugly, clunky, and uncomfortable! The Wave Trek, OTOH, are nicely tapered in the front and thus do not shout "sneaker" or "athletic shoe", but rather, especially in a neat color like berry, are versatile with outfits. Bring back the Wave Trek -- stop messing with what isn't broken. Will not buy Wave Andes. Searching other brands. Sad.

Very disappointed! The black I received is black with gray laces, gray sole, and gray back heel loop; the black pictured on the website is black with brown laces and loop and beige soles, which is why I ordered them.
