The style is attractive, but my concern was the elastic in two places. The elastic made the sandal look cheesy and also over time, would have stretched out making the fit sloppy. I'm going back to Naot Karenna.

I absolutely love Naot sandals. I have a foot permanently injured after ignoring plantar fasciitis symptoms. The Naot Paris was the only sandal I could wear for years because of it's footbed. I thought the Enid sandal would be a good one as well for me. First I ordered my usual size 9 (I have a very narrow foot). The width was perfect but the length was too short. So I ordered a 10. From a 9 to a 10 there is a big difference in the width in the toe area. Yes the strap over the toes can be tightened but it leaves a lot of excess strap hanging over. But worse than that is that the edges of the foot straps are rough and rub and irritate the top of my foot and toes. I have two pairs of Naot Paris sandals and the edges of the straps are smooth. The Etera also has smooth edges. I ordered the Enid because it had a lower heel/platform. So unfortunately I had to return the Enid's. Naot needs to fix the rough edges.

This was narrower than the 11 AA I ordered in another brand, but it was still too wide for my foot. This is particularly sad since I hoped I would be able to use it to support my broken toe but be able to tighten it to fit my other foot and to work as a regular sandal later. Yep, that's right -- the narrow was too wide for my swollen foot, even adjusted as tightly as possible. And the elastic at the sides of the strap -- which I somehow overlooked when ordering -- made the shoe even less likely to hold in my foot. Shoe manufacturers just don't seem to "get" us long, slim footed people. We need slim fitting shoes in a comfortable shoe, too. It's not only uncomfortable, it's dangerous to have your foot swimming in a huge shoe. My size issues aside, I also didn't like the style -- there is a strange pad on the back strap which increases comfort but looks really strange. It could have been hidden with a better thought-out back strap. The arch support was back near my heel. The foot bed felt hard. A plus for a broken toe but otherwise not comfortable.

This sandal I would have kept except 1 had a manufacturing flaw too big to ignore. The upper strap didn’t meet the other side. You wouldn’t know unless you tried it on. This year I haven’t found a naot sandal I can wear with my orthotics due to problems with fit and in this case manufacture quality.
