Love the netting on the inside and the lined collar. I absolutely loath the elastic cuffs, they are too loose and hang down over my hand when they are at my side. Wish they would have kept the velcro cuffs. I find myself rarely wearing this new jacket when I used to wear my old one with the velcro cuffs everyday. I personally wouldn't buy this again unless they added the velcro cuffs again. Other than that it's a great jacket and i wish i could wear it more.

The jacket I did keep. It was better and worse from the one I had before that was stolen. The wrist bands on the jacket are flimsy to start. They are not firm enough to grasp your wrist. It does have a hood, but it is not removable. It tucks in, but removable would be much better. Excellent at water resistance! Fit and colors are OK, but they are subtle. Basically a 3 of 5 rating.

It can be used only for rain weather.

Your delivery company lost my package. I was able to work with Northface rep to get replacement sent in time for holiday

No adjustments or drawstrings, so fits like a bag

Didn't love the fit so I took it back to the store and was talked into the gore-Tex light jacket. More expensive but more comfortable and feels higher quality than the venture

This is not a performance rain jacket. The hood is poorly designed, the cuffs are not adjustable , there is no interior pocket, and the collar is too big. Great coat for casual wear but not conquering the outdoors. Disappointed.

Feel like

I bought this jacket and after a couple weeks the materials started to tear a little on the sleeve. Other than the poor materials it's not a bad jacket

NF really needs to add a button to the bottom of the zipper. If you sit down, the thing easily comes apart.

I bought it for my husband. He usually wears medium so bought him medium but this was big for his size.

NF finally made a great improvement with the mesh lining though out the jacket and the fleece collar is a great addition. My previous NF had adjustable velcro cuffs, this new jacket does not and the large cuffs slide down over my hands when my arms are straight down at rest, the cuffs slide down over my knuckles. I need to pull up the sleeves constantly and becomes annoying to say the least. I wish they would have left that aspect of the jacket alone. As much as I love the NF products I can say I won't be purchasing another waterproof wind breaker from them until they bring back the velcro cuff adjustments. I'm sure this really won't hurt their bottom line. Since this was a gift that I said I wanted (before I realized the cuff change) I decided to keep it to avoid bad feelings. I wear this garment very little now compared to how much I wore the previous one. I see a ton of people that love this jacket which I can't blame them, it otherwise is an incredible product, just a little disappointed.

I bought this jacket a couple of months ago and have been using it since though the only problem with this raincoat is the collar of it just comes up way too high for me it feels like your wearing a turtleneck.I bought the shady blue and the color is very nice but my only problem is how high the collar comes up like i stated buty still a great raincoat for the price

Great for rain. I wish it was a bit warmer. Something not too heavy not too light.

I love this jacket but it was a little snug other than that I was happy with my purchase.

Day 1: Two days to ship the on line order. I paid fo overnight day shiping. Day2: Contacted customer services to stop the order. She agreed to remove the charge for the overnight shipping (which did not happen) and she said she would call me back when she had stopped the shipment (neither a call or stopping the shipping happened). Day 3: Called again to stop the order. He told me it could not be stopped.

I was looking for something a little heavier and this item is almost less than a windbreaker. I would have appreciated a weather recommendation. Stores on the west coast have a very limited selection of the newer items in the store and a projected arrival date for Dec. I'm in DC and unfortunately it's already pretty chilly.

This jacket gave what it promised and as a whole I am satisfied with it's performance .

This is my second North Face jacket and overall I am very happy. The jacket seems better constructed than my first but I have two complaints. One the zippers on the pockets are always getting tangled in the material and two the hood is way to big and obscures vision when in use. My first jacket had a hood that was smaller and yet more functional.

It works - sort of. As long as it is just a light rain for a short period but in a sustained rain or hard rain you will get wet as it will soak through. I bought it in 2006 and the collar area has begun delaminating and shredding. The hood works best when I use it to cover my hat. The wide brim on the hat keeps the rain out of the eyes while the hood doesnt need to be cinched down to provide protection. The mesh liner seems to snag on small branches if you dont zip up the jacket all the way. You will definitely get water bleed through from the shoulder straps on the shoulders - they shoud look at using a different material in that area. The 2L Hyvent is OK but my jacket is pretty worn out by now. I replaced it with a 2.5L Hyvent product that should hold up a bit better.

Like the color. Love the fit. But is this what we're calling waterproof these days? This is my hoodie after a 45 minute walk in an average Seattle rain.

Not exactly the jacket I thought I saw while purchasing this item. Alot lighter &thinner than described.

Collar was a bit scratchy and jacket thin for colder weather

Received the item and it was too big. Sent it back, as instructed, in the prepaid bag weeks ago and have not been able to even view a refund or that it's been received. Customer Service is zero help.
