This jacket is great value for the price
However there are some areas that could use some design improvements especially is you wear a hat that has Velcro on the back.the Velcro portion constantly stuck to my hat and can be of alittle annoyance.
Also the Velcro that is located on the sides of the zipper tend to stick to the inner lining of the jacket and has caused a minor tear of the jacket.
Other than that the jacket does the job and keeps you away from the wet environments .and if you are the type that sweats a lot there is great zipper under the arm pits for breathability

I love this jacket, I got it for my husband as a Valentine's Day gift and he swears by it! He does not want to wear and of his other jackets now! Soon all he will have are North Face jackets and outerwear.

Pros :
quality made jacket =durable
great fit= very comfortable
functional =breathable and keeps you dry, suitable for everyday use, sports and active life
Cons
Falls victim to the north face trademark logo policy=don't like the second logo at the back and the contrast with the jacket's color that the logo makes..... you look like a moving advertisement.... if north face fix this problem they will sell many more jackets because many people like their products but the excessive and bold use of their logo is a deal breaker ....makes the jacket too " technical" and less elegant for city use.

I really like the jacket. It's comfortable and repels water very well. The color is great too. I wish it had inside pockets.

The men's resolve jacket I bought for my boyfriend was great! Every once in a while the zipper gets stuck but that's pretty much it. Otherwise, it's great for all weather specially this cold and wet one we have over in the east coast! I love it and it looks great!

Rain jacket, feels small. I have a north fac half dome sweater in XL runs great but this one feels small in XL and I don't want to get a XXL because it would fit to big. So it has a downfall.

Bought this for the heavy rain in my area. Fit is great. Sleeve was a little long, but the rest is fine. Breathable, lightweight for casual wear!

I bought the Resolve jacket for my son who works on a boat in HI. He's in his mid 20's. He said he really liked this jacket, received many compliments on the look of the jacket and that it kept him dry and the fit was great. He's fit, 6 foot 180 and I got him the Large. His only con was that the collar was a little weird. He did not like the material by his face. He had his jacket for about 6 months and was at a beach party and lost his Resolve jacket. Someone really scored big cuz they are gonna really like his jacket. My son was really bummed because he said it was one of the best rain jackets he's worn. I opted to buy him the Venture this time. I think it has better options for his needs. Venting, pockets, no weird material by the neck and also should pack up nice to fit in his water bag for those just in case moments. I'll write a review when he lets me know the comparison between the 2 jackets once he's worn it a bit. Overall, when he lost his jacket, he told me he'd like the same jacket cuz he really felt it worked for him. It was a gift so I would recommend the Resolve if you feel the options are what you are looking for and a great price. When reviewing both products the real difference for me was the wrist options (Venture has velco, Resolve does not however my son felt the wrist was nice on the Resolve), the venting (the Venture has under arm pit venting), and the hood (Resolve the hood hides which is a plus but does not hide in the Venture).

Really like this jacket. Its great for cool and rainy days.Surprised how warm it is.
Have to be careful when you use the zipper. It will stick to the flap if its not completely opened.
Other than that I would highly recommend.

Jacket is great. Just a little short for me. Would like rain jacket to be longer in the back to keep rain off pants

A good jacket, but a little oddly cut near the collar. Also felt baggy.

I have to say that I really liked this jacket, especially the mesh liner, which almost no other technical rain jackets seem to have anymore and is a really nice feature, but (as others have said) the collar was so ridiculously high that I ended up returning it. It's a shame, because otherwise I would definitely have kept it, but it was so bad that my wife was hysterically laughing when she saw me try the jacket on. If you can overlook that, this is a really nice rain jacket for the price, and I'm sure it would have performed as advertised, as I have never had a performance issue with any of North Face's other products.
