Great for hiking, fishing, and sporting events

This raincoat is the best that I've had!

I ordered this jacket to replace my "HyVent", the lining of which was starting to flake off. I loved the HyVent jacket and always had it on hand. I particularly like the underarm zippers and the fit of the hood. Unfortunately, I seem to have put on a bit of weight, and the Medium is now a bit tight over my fleece vest. I'm sure this would fit most users just fine. It really is the best jacket of it's type I've found.

Great jacket for the wet seasons! Lightweight enough to fold into a small square and stow in a small pack. Very breathable even in warmer climate. Extremely stylish to wear casually. Would definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for a nice, light And functional rain shell.

I think it's going work well for me, I just wish there were armpit vents that could be opened when needed. My first use of it though was a Top Layer, while watching my nephews lacrosse game, 35F and Raining. It kept me dry, Thankfully I had other layers to keep me warm.

This product is good for rain weather and casual wear.

I needed a good looking casual rain jacket that I could wear to work and this is jacket is perfect. It not only looks good it is lightweight and very comfortable

I wear this jacket on rainy days to work or just for going around town. Very stylish and performs well, does what it supposed to. Only 3 issues (I can deal with them though). 1, the length in the front is pretty short, the back tapers longer (a plus). 2, the hood when worn is way to tall/long i'm a tall guy and this hood is made for a giraffe and the adjustment on the hood doesn't really help. 3, the picture shows the asphalt grey as beeing pretty dark but in fact it's quite light. Overall I'm happy with my purchase. Thanks, ET

After wearing out my previous NF jacket, I sent it in for repair. Repairs weren't possible, so they helped me replace it. I love this jacket. It does exactly what it's supposed to do: keeps you dry. I wouldn't hesitate to get it again.

Use this on golf course and feels great so far. Haven't been stuck in rain yet, but works against wind. Love how this folds into a pouch. Will use for golf for wind and rain, and also use as summer-spring jacket.

Nice looking jacket. I don't know if my arms are short or the sleeves were just way too long.

Overall a great gift!

Love this jacket but have to buy men's XXL to get it to be roomy enough for layering and comfort (and I am a size 10/12 female). I also do not like that the seam sealing peels and flakes after two years, but this is my third of these jackets. one was replaced under warranty, thank you. I am waiting to hear on the second that was leaking down my back, but bought the third because it was on sale and it is the rainy season so I could not be without one while you decide the warranty.

Tight in the body. Does not fit as my 3 other tnf shells. I would up a size if I re-ordered. Nice feel and otherwise good shell. I would have liked a media pocket, but could not find a tnf shell light weight with that feature.

Overall, it is nice!

Works well to wear over something warm

Another great NF product. Lightweight, stylish, and waterproof. It can easily fold up into the pocket but I like to roll it up into the hood. I wear a NF Denali underneath and am warm in 10 degrees. I will probably buy another one in a different color.

This is a great jacket. The only problem is that the sleeve was a bit too long.

Great jacket. Would buy Again

Had this jacket for several years in the black with white logo. Only problem with this jacket is the white inside. After years of wear it breaks down and begins to flake off where the hood is adjoined. This same thing happened with another venture jacket my son had. Don't know why this happened. I have lots of north face jackets - really like this one for when it rains. Wish it would have lasted longer. Maybe north face needs to do some extended product wear testing or maybe it is just the material. Otherwise I really like tips jacket - have it in navy also - but so far only the inside white coating of the black one has started flaking. It's kind of a mess because it rubs off on your neck or clothing.

Use it mainly during rains. Light weight and has enough room be worn on top of another jacket. Zippered pockets are very convenient.

This jacket is great for around town or hiking on a foggy Bay Area day. It's been raining here a lot and this is my primary raincoat because it's the perfect weight. The jacket is very easy to clean, although it does need to hang and drip dry and it really drips. All around great quality and service from North Face.
