I recently discovered The North Face brand and I absolutely love ALL of their jackets - for different reasons. The venture 2 jacket is a personal favorite for this time of year in Northern California. The venture 2 jacket provides just enough layer for me to protect against the cool, crisp air in the morning. It also is light enough that i do not get hot as the day warms up - it keep me perfectly insulated. I also love the fact that it is completely waterproof as we occasionally get rain. I love this jacket so much I bought it in two different colors when I made my purchase. I have an addiction to The North Face and want to move somewhere where I can wear TNF jackets ALL YEAR LONG!!!

I bought this jacket as a casual rain jacket and wind breaker. I bought an XL and it is true to fit except the sleeves are a little too long.

This jacket is awesome! I work mostly outdoors. Keeps me dry everytime mother nature decides to make it a rainy day. The jacket is lightweight, durable, true to size, water beads off, dries fast, easy to clean. Keep in mind the jack is not a thick winter coat. Remember to get a size bigger if you want to add layers to it for colder weather. Quality is so great I purchased a another one . One of the best North Face jackets I own.

This is a good jacket for rain. Material is on the stiff side but still comfortable.

This will be my go-to jacket for hiking and fishing in the rain.

I really love the fit of this jacket. I find it is tough to find one that fits well. Perfect amount of room without being too big, but also not slim fitting. It feels more like a Spring a jacket - on the thinner side. If it is cold or super windy it might not keep you very warm, but it seems really good for rain (I haven't worn it in the rain yet). The hood is a great size also. Only negative is that the sleeves are long, but it isn't a big deal because the velcro works really well to cinch at your wrists.

Very light weight jacket perfect for outdoor activities or just casual wear. For it being so light I was surprised at the warmth it provides. First experience with any TNF clothing & I am in no way let down.

Finally retired a Sierra Designs Gore tex jacket. So far this jacket is fantastic

My college aged son loves his new coat! The walk to class on rainy days is now a breeze!

This is a great shell. Big enough for fleece underneath. Very water resistant so far, and I love that it doesn't feel like your wearing a garbage bag.
