Haven't tried it in the wild yet but it appears to be everything that I wanted: a waterproof, windproof, and breathable shell. However, that's all it is, a shell (correctly described by NF). Don't expect a heavy lining or a lot of insulation.

This was my first purchase and first jacket from The North Face. I had been looking for another lightweight raincoat ever since my L.L. Bean and Adidas raincoats weren't very good quality. Upon arrival, this red jacket, a Large size, fit me perfectly. And I love the side ventilation for more breathability. Overall, this high-quality coat is the best for rainy Seattle weather. I truly recommend this jacket!
