Just moved to an area with lots of rain and it has held up so well! It's light enough that I can layer it over other articles of clothing. Very breathable and does not feel restrictive at all, I would recommend it to anyone looking for a waterproof jacket

Great jacket. Perfect for the fall and the spring. Works well over another coat or sweatshirt in the winter as well.

Venture 2 is the perfect windbreaker for wet conditions. It's comfortable, the dark blue color looks great, and the jacket packs down into its own left pocket (there are videos on YouTube showing how to pack it). As others have noted, the jacket runs very large so order a size smaller than usual. I'm 5'10" with an athletic build, and the small fits me perfectly. At least the body does - my one gripe would be that the sleeves were laughably long on this jacket (seriously, about 3" too long!). I took mine to a tailor and had them shorten the sleeves / sew the Velcro tabs back on. It cost me another $30 but now I have the perfect windbreaker for sailing. I'm still recommending the jacket because aside from the sleeve length, it's of great quality and a little lower-priced than competing brands.

This is the only product that I have to go down in size. Every other top I wear a medium. Once I ordered the correct size that fits me it was perfect.

Perfect fit, amazing price. Great option that it packs down for a backpack for hiking, or luggage as a light jacket. Zippers in the pits keep you cool as well. Very happy with my purchase, and love Zappos hands down!

Used mainly everyday for cardio in 3 seasons or any day it is raining period. Keep it in on me most of the time. I have purchased this jacket 3 times, 1st time in 2003, in 2010 and 2 days ago. It just gets better, the last jacket delamenated and shredded on me, the first one split up the back but I rarely cleaned them and wore them everyday for everything. NF would've probably replaced them both but I got $100 worth out of all three and its only every 10 years give or take, so I'm good with that, as technology and updates are important. Current version is good, a little larger but needed to be for all the layers worn under it. Only trusted jacket for 100% windproof/rainproof no ones can do this for price. Got the current one for 35% off from a in store dealer, so happy, cheaper than anywhere else I could find. No cons, was told at store to always wipe it down or wash it if I been swaeting it in it. I never put it in dryer though just hang dry. Thats it, doesnt get better and if aint broke dont fix it.

I generally use coat for rainy weather. It feels dry inside.

This product has allowed me to complete my day to day activities in rainy weather. The jacket itself is light weight, waterproof, and was on sale. I could not be happier with the fit, size, and price. I will definitely shop again at The North Face!!!! :)

This is a perfect jacket to wear for an everyday jacket. I like the style and the fit.

I first tried on at a TNF shop but they only have a Size Small which for me fits a little loose. But, when I looked at their website, I saw an X-Small option & it's on promotion so I purchased it right away. It arrived in 2 DAYS! (What?!) Used it right away, fits perfectly with me being able to twist & turn my body. Light & comfortable. Another great purchase at The North Face!

Great for hiking when it is raining/showers but not when it is cold. It is only a shell so in cold weather you need something under it. I do wish it was about 3 inches longer (better rain protection down there). I purchased a medium and a large would be to big for me. Maybe the large would be proportionally the same though. I got this item on sale at a great price and I love the lifetime warranty TNF has on their products. One item I wishTNF would modify (on most if not all of their jackets) is to put in thicker zippers which are more robust.

I bought the Venture 2 Jacket for fishing trips, chasing rainbows and steelheads. It's a perfect rain jacket for soggy/rainy weather. Sleeves are little bit longer but it workout for me to keep my gloves and hand warm until I needed to take them out to reel a fish or cast. The jacket can be a perfect rain gear for fishing if you wear layers appropriately to keep you warm and taosty.
